An order mix-up left me with 600mg of reta instead of 1200mg of tirz, plus some GLOW70. After fifteen months on 15mg mounjaro I want bloodwork to check my baseline health before starting the new compound. Which tests should I request? I saw something about checking igf-1 before using glow but I'm new to this.
Typical physicians tend to request checks covering liver and kidney function along with a1c and lipid readings. Thyroid assessments sometimes get added in as well.
I saw the tests section listing HbA1c for long-term blood sugar control, liver enzymes ALT and AST, kidney values like eGFR, creatinine and BUN, electrolytes, lipid profile and thyroid tests with TSH and Free T4. Are all those covered?
I plan to request checks for glucose and insulin levels after an overnight fast so I can calculate my HOMA-IR value showing how sensitive my body is to insulin. When getting thyroid labs done I would also ask for the free T3 since that counts as the active hormone.
Getting bloodwork done for cell counts, metabolic function, cholesterol and thyroid activity. My sense is the item leaves IGF-1 untouched, though I may have that backward.
