Experience with LL-37?

4 replies4 peopleJan 20, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

What are people's experiences with LL-37 for immune support and are there Alzheimer's risks?

Users are seeking personal accounts of LL-37 use, often alongside Thymosin Alpha 1. One participant flags potential Alzheimer's links from animal data. Another clarifies the mouse study used direct high-dose brain injection, which differs sharply from typical human systemic dosing and poor blood-brain barrier penetration. The thread draws little further input.

Hi, I've looked into peptides for immunity and come across mixed reports on LL-37 outcomes. Has anyone here used LL-37, and how did it go for you? I'm considering combining it with Thymosin Alpha 1 for immune support. Thanks!

I'm also curious about LL-37. I've been looking into this peptide too and would like to hear anyone's experiences with it, same as above.

I'd examine any connections to Alzheimer's very carefully before trying this peptide.

I've looked further into the Alzheimer's findings and they used a higher dose injected straight into the mouse brain. That setup doesn't match how it would likely work in a person, though a risk could still exist. The study gave mice 300 mcg/kg in one dose directly into the hippocampus or ventricle. A human would need systemic delivery to affect the brain, which is difficult because LL-37 doesn't cross the blood-brain barrier well. Brain injections skip those barriers while systemic human dosing probably reaches less than 1 percent in the CNS, so meaningful brain levels seem unlikely at 100 mcg/day.

I'm posting here just to bring fresh attention to the original question and maybe get more responses.
