Hello everyone. It has been a while since my last post but I wanted to give an update. When I began this process I was looking for accounts that felt real rather than polished influencer posts. Food had always been a difficult area for me with constant hunger that overrode every attempt at tracking or restricting intake. Fatigue was constant and the usual medical suggestion to simply alter habits never helped. In my mid forties I decided to try tirzepatide through an online route and later adjusted it for longer term access. Each new vial still feels uncertain. I began sixteen weeks ago at 2.5 mg and have reached 5 mg.

That phrase made me laugh. Glad the slow approach is paying off for you. I would answer the doctor by saying I followed the lifestyle change advice and started a meth habit then pause to see the reaction.

Nice work. I am in a comparable situation and now wish I had a separate fridge in the garage. Mine stay tucked away inside supplement bags in the main refrigerator.

I assumed the entire forum consisted of those kinds of discussions.

I informed everyone at home about what I am doing. My supply sits in a lunchbox inside the regular freezer.

That post was entertaining. I would read more from you anytime. Looking forward to the next one.

I have told most of my family and several acquaintances. The detail I keep to myself is the total amount on hand. I did show my work colleague and she laughed because she already knew I tend to stock up. She recently added two kittens to her existing two cats so we avoid teasing each other too much about excess.

Being a fully functional adult is overrated and I would like a refund. Meatloaf had a song about that right. Reaching the forties and gaining muscle stands out as a major positive. It improves many areas. The barcode scanning line was funny and it reminded me to schedule another body composition scan at the gym. Keep going.

I appreciated the part about finally feeling full. Before starting tirzepatide I had never experienced that sensation. Even when I was stuffed I would keep eating. It feels good to have a normal response now.

That matches my experience exactly. At six foot two I never saw myself as far off track and I carry weight decently. I assumed consistency would eventually get me where I wanted. As I got older the weight became harder to lose. I ate three meals plus snacks daily though none of it was particularly healthy. The constant thought about what to eat next never stopped. After years on TRT without training or structured eating my lipid numbers kept climbing. The doctor warned about an upcoming heart scan and high cholesterol. I refused a statin and looked into other options until peptides came up. I restarted serious training and added reta. Three months later my recent labs are all normal. The doctor was surprised and asked what I had changed.

I recall the period after my surgery when weight returned. I once finished a large salad and felt completely stuffed yet the hunger remained. These medications remove that leftover signal.

I never want to go through that again. I recognize the sensation well.

I had the same issue while taking Lexapro. I could be physically full from nutritious food yet still feel hungry which led to gaining twenty pounds. I tapered off the medication myself but the weight has stayed. The gain felt chemically different from earlier weight changes after pregnancy. The medication can be lifesaving yet something in my system shifted permanently.

Congratulations on the results. Reading your experience gives me optimism. Do you keep a blog? You write well and the toddler in Target line made me laugh out loud.

I have not mentioned my research to family yet but supplies and items keep arriving. The questions have become amusing such as why more needles or what the silicon trays and label maker are for. It must look like I am assembling something dangerous. When the grey package arrived I placed the items in the freezer instead of the fridge and was advised to answer casually that these particular ones require freezing and stop there.

SteadyLedger49archiveDec 21, 2025

Calling it snake oil is surprising. Before long people around you will want the same results once the weight drops past the goal. Well done on the progress and quieting the constant food thoughts.

PlainKettle41archiveDec 26, 2025

Thanks for sharing and for the motivation this morning. In what ways has adding a consistent gym routine changed things for you?

BrightAlder79archiveDec 26, 2025

Rooting for you and appreciate the inventive approach. I keep mine wrapped in foil inside a black bag in a dark section of the fridge. There is also an unused ice compartment that works well for storage.
