Experiences with Combining Tirzepatide and Retatrutide

4 replies4 peopleApr 4, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

What are user experiences with combining tirzepatide and retatrutide, including sustained stacks versus temporary transitions and different dosing approaches?

Users report that ongoing combinations of the two are fairly common and not limited to short titration periods. They describe splitting doses across different days to balance appetite control from one with the broader effects of the other while keeping side effects low. Pre-mixed single vials are seen as less desirable because they remove flexibility in individual dosing.

Lately I've noticed single vials that combine Tirzepatide at 20mg with Retatrutide at 40mg from various places. I'm not planning to use that myself, but I'd like to hear about personal experiences with combining them. From what I've looked into, it seems like mixing should be short-term only while switching from one to the other during titration, though that's all based on stories. What are your thoughts? Also, I've come across mentions of micro-dosing both at the same time, which strikes me as excessive for long-term use since they overlap in effects.

The ongoing combination of both is more widespread than you might think. I'm doing it myself and there are others here too. Pre-mixed versions give less dosing control and no flexibility. Even though they overlap, they're different with distinct effects and side effects. Appetite control varies, and individual tolerance to sides influences choices. My approach is to get the triple agonist benefits from Reta but keep doses low. At low doses Reta doesn't suppress appetite much, so I add a bit of Tirz for that strong effect. Together they give me full control over eating and eliminate unwanted cravings for bad foods, drinks, etc.

Right, that's it, and sometimes not even on the same day.

I agree. I dose them split as well, with Tirz on Monday evening and Friday morning, Reta on Saturday evening and Wednesday morning. That spaces each one 3.5 days apart and alternates them. This way I get minimal sides and a consistent level of the GLP effect, with peaks and valleys offsetting each other.

I do something similar, spacing them 84 hours apart with 1mg of each per week. It gives the advantages of both. I'd be careful with pre-mixed versions though, since inaccurate dosing of these two together might lead to rough days, even if other mixes are less concerning.
