Semax - non responder solution and subq

Summary

What to do if intranasal Semax produces no effects and does subq work better?

One user found nasal Semax ineffective due to rapid breakdown by nasal enzymes and switched to subq injections, reporting noticeable results. Others share mixed experiences with both routes at doses from 0.25 mg to 1.2 mg, with some feeling mild benefits and others none at all. A few note Selank works better for them than Semax regardless of route. Non-responders appear common and switching to subq does not guarantee effects.

I found some research that caught my attention. Semax and Selank gave me zero noticeable effects when used as a nasal spray, even though that route is widely recommended. I accept it works for plenty of others, but for me something about the delivery or my own biology blocked it. Looking into it, the peptide gets broken down fast by aminopeptidase enzymes in the nose, so only a very small fraction ends up absorbed. One study showed just 0.093 percent absorption with only 80 percent of that remaining intact, and Semax quickly turns into the metabolite PGP. Switching to subq injections instead produced actual results for me. Getting past the blood-brain barrier is still an issue, yet it proved easier than dealing with the nose. Sharing this in case it helps other nasal non-responders; subq might be worth trying. Note that the NA (a

That article left me confused right away. I had to look up what tritium even was when all I wanted was dosing info. Both compounds are simple to use nasally, but I would like to test injections.

If nasal works for you then it is probably preferable for ease. I injected 0.25 mg a couple times daily and plan to test other amounts to find what suits me. The first paper's summary already covers the main idea, and the second one was only added because it referenced Selank.

Semax feels only mildly pleasant for me and the boost fades quickly. I tried both nasal and subq with similar results. Selank affects me more strongly. I prefer subq at night and nasal during the day because it feels very calming.

Right now I inject 500 mcg Semax plus 250 mcg Selank and the combination feels fairly pleasant. Since starting both I dropped my energy drink habit. I ordered Adamax to see if it can replace Semax and give stronger energy plus better nootropic effects, though some find it too stimulating.

Let me know how Adamax turns out. I would like to try it too.

I will update once it arrives in about twenty days. Until then I am staying with Semax and Selank. Using both has also helped keep my anxiety in check and reduced nighttime overthinking while keeping mental sharpness. I tried other compounds like Modafinil in the past for focus, but the last time I used it for a presentation it caused sweating, clouded thinking, and a big spike in blood pressure.

I have had no luck with NA Semax. Nasal doses up to 600 mcg and 1 mg subq both produced zero effects.

PatientFenwick91archiveJul 9

I have only used NA Semax via subq and noticed little. NA Selank gave me more sensation but still not enough to keep going. I kept raising the dose hoping for stronger results.

I take both at 1 mg whether nasal or subq, and that amount works best for me. No effect at that level usually means you are a non-responder, which happens for a percentage of people.

Checking my notes, I actually went as high as 1.2 mg, so I guess I fall into the non-responder category.

I am one week into subq use, five days at 0.5 mg and two days at 1 mg. Still no noticeable effects, so I might try nasal before stopping altogether.
