Wondering what style of fridge or freezer others use for their peptides. In some online groups people mention mini fridges, countertop bar models, or regular household ones, though some of those units struggle to hold steady at the right temperature. Also curious whether most leave them in the original plastic shipping container or move them into a vial box or pouch instead.

Countertop fridge works for the ones I'm reconstituting and using right now since it stays around 40 degrees. Dry stock goes into the deep freezer. With more on hand now I plan to keep kits in the plastic cases they arrived in, placed inside a container and then a cooler in the freezer.

Anything not yet reconstituted goes in the freezer. That said, unless long-term storage beyond a year is the plan, a regular fridge should be fine.

Not planning a long cycle, just two or three peptides at most. Everything will stay in the fridge unless larger quantities are purchased later.

A mini fridge and mini freezer are in use along with insulated containers for the vials. A thermometer stays inside the fridge to track the actual temperature.

That approach covers most situations. Peptides lose potency gradually as they degrade, and colder conditions only slow the process. Dry versions degrade more slowly than ones mixed with water. Over three months the difference between 5 °C and -5 °C storage is unlikely to be noticeable.

Another angle is that unless freezer space is limited there is little reason to calculate exact storage times in advance. Placing all unreconstituted material in the freezer and retrieving it as needed is simpler, and there is no real downside to doing so.

A dedicated lab freezer is used because it holds temperature within about two degrees and has sensors that alert if conditions drift. It was obtained second-hand and provides more control than needed but works well.

Storage planning is just starting. Until now items have gone straight into the chest freezer. One kit awaiting test results is still in the cupboard and will be labeled and moved to the freezer once cleared.

Planning to get a case for the vials and keep them in the freezer. The current unit holds steady at a very low temperature. A lab freezer may be added later as the collection expands.

Potency declines continuously though lower temperatures reduce the rate. Only absolute zero would halt degradation entirely. For use within a year refrigeration works fine and the one or two percent difference is not noticeable. Larger molecules benefit more from freezing, especially growth hormone related ones, while certain stabilized compounds with added chains handle fridge conditions better.

Not inside the insulated containers. With more material on hand there may be a switch to vacuum-sealed trays instead. Even then desiccant may not be added. Humidity is not a big worry because the vials are sealed under vacuum, and if that seal fails the vial is probably unusable anyway.
