That's a good question. I have a 10 ml bottle and put 10 mg of NA-Selank into it. From what I read one pump should be 100 mcg.

Tried the ordinary type using the matching quantity applied nasally on both sides. Initially it produced a relaxed feeling after several hours passed. Attempted it once more the day after and noticed zero results. 🤷‍♂️

SharpKettle11archiveJan 25

I'm getting my Semax and Selank tomorrow and will try them. I've dealt with anxiety and ADHD-type behaviors and hope they can level me out. I'll post results afterward.

My blend delivers 150 micrograms with every pump. I used four pumps daily for a combined 300 micrograms. Its impact was unmistakable to me. This feels much gentler compared to the version I have at 500 micrograms each time. Recently arrived is my amidated version. Can't wait to prepare it over the coming weeks. Older participants in the studies from Russia might explain differences in how people react. Correction on the pump amount.

I had to cut the ski trip short because of storms and flight issues. When I got home the delayed shipment had finally arrived. I wasn't sure Selank would affect me much so I only bought one bottle and ended up rationing toward the end. At 900-1200 mcg per day I had to drop to 100 mcg and took the last dose Friday. Anxiety noise started creeping back midweek. I reconstituted as soon as I got home and within an hour everything felt back to the new normal. The shipment also included Semax which I've now taken twice at 200 mcg. So far I'm not noticing any impact from it maybe because of the stress from the canceled flight and rebooking hassle.

Quick question for everyone. I've been clearing my sinuses with allergy spray when needed. I don't think the peptide spray will work well without good airflow. What do you think? I'm three days into AM Semax and PM Selank with only subtle effects so far and maybe a bit of fatigue from the Semax.

CopperSignal68archiveJan 25
↳ replying to @NorthMeadow96

Definitely blow your nose first. Because of allergies and snoring I got used to using an electric neti pot to keep everything clear and I still do that before bed.

CopperAlder51archiveJan 25

I agree no airflow and it won't absorb well. I use saline spray daily and Astepro if I'm congested. Astepro has no rebound effect so it can be used daily unlike Afrin. I used to get it by prescription. The right technique helps too. Tip your head slightly forward insert the tip at a slight angle away from the midline and point toward the outside of the eye. This reduces dripping and maximizes surface area.

PlainCompass54archiveJan 25
↳ replying to @NorthMeadow96

You need good airflow and clear surface area on the nasal membranes for the spray to absorb properly so clear out all the debris first.

GreenCinder32archiveJan 25

Update I took two more sprays per nostril and it definitely did something though it's hard to describe. I was in the car with a friend heading to eat and my mind just relaxed in a weird but not bad way. That was five hours ago and now I feel normal again.

CopperAlder51archiveJan 25
↳ replying to @GreenCinder32

That's exactly what I get. It's subtle but definitely there and I like it.

GreenCinder32archiveJan 25

I'm trying different things right now. I started methylene blue three weeks ago but stopped because my right eye started twitching and it's still happening. I've been taking magnesium for three days and it's improving so maybe it was a deficiency. I'll keep using Selank this week but switch to morning dosing and update you.

SharpKettle11archiveJan 26

I started today at about 0.4 mg each of Semax and Selank. The feeling is subtle and hard to describe but within an hour I felt pretty calm and less mind racing than usual. It was quite calming though it could be placebo. I'll test it over the next couple of weeks.

CopperSignal68archiveJan 27

Now that I'm back from vacation and fully recovered we're resuming research. Selank at three times 400 mcg per day and the full effect is back in place. Semax at two times 200 mcg per day and still no noticeable impact at all. The NA versions are on the way for the next round.

CopperAlder51archiveJan 27
↳ replying to @CopperSignal68

Are you planning their doses at particular hours? One during the early part of the day, the other towards evening? I avoided combining the two and experienced the impact of each separately. Individuals respond uniquely.

CopperSignal68archiveJan 27

Semax at wakeup Selank at 9 am after lunch and after dinner.

GreenCinder32archiveJan 31

Hey everyone, I tried the N-Acetyl Selank nasal this week, 10mg in 10ml. Used it every other day in the morning before work, not daily. At first it seemed like nothing was happening since I don't have many social interactions at work to compare against. But yesterday it hit different. I felt like my old self from 15 years ago before all the drug and alcohol stuff. I quit drinking in August and social events were tough without being drunk. Took 4 sprays before work and noticed I was talking more and finding words easier. After work I was getting ready for a 60-person birthday party and felt a bit nervous and in my head, so I did 6 sprays, 3 per nostril. That was too much and gave me chest pressure, headache, and slight nausea, but zero anxiety. I talked nonstop like I was drunk, laughed more than I have in years, and it was probably the best day in a while.

Stories like this are exactly why the research we're doing feels worthwhile. Finding something that turns into a real game changer after years of struggling in some health area is what this is all about for me. Hope you can keep this going long term. Thanks for sharing it, and realize that for every comment like this there are probably plenty more people who got inspired but didn't say anything. Good luck and kudos.

GreenCinder32archiveJan 31

Thanks, I appreciate that. Hopefully the effect sticks around, but I still have a side effect today where my vision is a little blurry like low blood sugar, plus feeling a bit off track if that makes sense. I'll give an update in the coming days. I'm also starting my Reta protocol tomorrow.

BrightSignal73archiveJan 31

Curious what makes the NA copy stand out compared to the basic model.

CopperAlder51archiveJan 31

The NA Selank has the same modifications as NA Semax.

Our experiences demonstrate that existence continues beyond alcohol dependence. We manage everything in small daily steps.

SharpKettle11archiveFeb 4

I've observed that it's made me more relaxed overall. However my spouse has pointed out that I appear to have lost enthusiasm for various activities. My emotions have fluctuated quite a bit lately so I intend to pause usage temporarily to check whether things get better. I also plan to have some tests done to rule out other issues.

KeenAnchor30archiveFeb 6

Been doing these under the skin shots every day at that dose for roughly seven days now. Thought it was active because of the scalp tightness kicking in soon after each one. Realized later the tightness was likely from increased hormone activity causing itch. Shedding more hair than usual even though I'm on treatment for that. Perhaps my stress wasn't too high or this didn't change how I felt. I'm wrapping up this personal test.

GreenCinder32archiveFeb 8
↳ replying to @KeenAnchor30

I agree with that observation. It became obvious while I was at my job, though it doesn't really bother me there either. The same thing happens when I'm relaxing at my place, where nothing seems important anymore. Because of this I'm going to quit relying on it except during major occasions.

CopperAlder51archiveFeb 8
↳ replying to @GreenCinder32

Have you cut down how many times you spray it? For me the nasal method allows finer adjustments in amount since it's simpler to increase or decrease based on how it feels.

GreenCinder32archiveFeb 12
↳ replying to @CopperAlder51

Haven't applied it over the last several days on account of that indifferent mindset, though I intend to test it following the suggestion, possibly with just a couple of sprays rather than four.

BrightKettle28archiveFeb 12

Wondering about that whole indifferent feeling... 🤔 Came across a writeup exploring brain processes behind inability to feel enjoyment across multiple mental conditions. It points out this symptom counts as central in identifying serious depression under standard diagnostic rules. Not certain whether it lines up with your description but maybe some relevant details show up there.🫡

CopperSignal68archiveFeb 12
↳ replying to @CopperAlder51

Perhaps this approach wouldn't do much for you personally. The research I've checked doesn't point to any straightforward connection with losing interest in activities or feeling emotionally flat. To put it simply it just tweaks how certain reactions get activated. When anxiety runs high it can shift the threshold so a person doesn't instantly switch into panic mode. A few tests on animals suggest a small positive influence on low mood during periods of reduced pleasure which might mean an improved ability to experience enjoyment even under strain. If those problems aren't present then it could be the wrong option to consider.

Whenever someone mentions a thing that stops their inner dialogue, do they also sense a drop in mental precision or alertness?

AmberMarble84archiveMar 10

I just got hold of my supply and plan to begin using it starting tomorrow. Really looking forward to trying. There was a recent break from those compounds lasting about two weeks. The nasal applicator stopped functioning right so I ended up taking too much through repeated presses. That left me in a mental haze the full Saturday. I am not going to repeat that mistake.

AmberMarble84archiveMar 10
↳ replying to @GreyThistle97

Actually it's the reverse. Well, apart from that time I took too much. ;-) My mind seems clearer now. For instance, I manage the schedule more accurately during appointments with clients. There's no way to describe why, but it occurs on its own. It's almost like my thinking is closer to average, without those odd ideas popping up constantly, haha.

GreyThistle97archiveMar 11
↳ replying to @AmberMarble84

Wow how cool. Appreciate you relating that story. It leaves me wondering about your line of work since patients come up.

Additionally, these have improved my ability to manage tasks that require planning and focus. Handling chores around the house has become much simpler as a result. Working as a general practitioner here in Denmark means my job involves a lot of pressure and constant activity. Even so, after a shift I still retain some reserves to tackle remaining responsibilities, roughly one seventh of my usual capacity. Previously I would feel completely drained by the end of the day. The transition into perimenopause has made this exhaustion more pronounced. Consulting a mental health specialist might be recommended, yet I prefer to avoid that route since I have an aversion to using stimulating medications personally.

GreyThistle97archiveMar 11
↳ replying to @AmberMarble84

Glad there's a doctor taking part in the discussion. That peptide comes across as impressive. My usual physician gives a prescription for modafinil and it has transformed how I feel. It looks like it brings matching benefits. Maybe a touch more powered up. Haha.

AmberMarble84archiveMar 11
↳ replying to @GreyThistle97

Taking the alertness aid every day left me feeling sad and unable to find pleasure after around seven to ten days. Because of that I have switched to using it only on occasion. I could possibly give the other drug a go in the future but these days the peps are enough for me.

AmberAnchor83archiveMar 11

I find this really intriguing and I'm glad you described your time using Selank. I have both Selank and Semax prepared for my own studies and I'm thinking about whether to use them nasally or via injection to address OCD, anxiety and overthinking.

KeenAlder60archiveMar 12
↳ replying to @CopperSignal68 (opening post)

That's encouraging! I'm attempting to persuade myself into accepting the nasal approach, yet back when I was young my mother applied an over-the-counter spray in my nose that had an odor reminiscent of tomcat urine, making me quite opposed to all things involving the nose, hence I need to mentally prepare before testing it out.

A bunch of them fail to trigger anything, though the damage from my younger years stays potent. Putting effort into fixing that.

CopperSignal68archiveMar 16
↳ replying to @KeenAlder60

Neither my partner nor I notice any smells or lingering tastes with these. I'm not particularly reactive to things like that, though my partner tends to be. The other option really didn't work out well for my partner at all. These feel exactly the same as using plain salt water mist.

CopperAlder51archiveMar 16
↳ replying to @AmberAnchor83

I find that nasal delivery works best when you want fast action and the ability to adjust doses on the fly. It gets absorbed at about ninety percent since it avoids the liver's first processing step, so less gets wasted before reaching the brain and pituitary. This setup puts it nearer the action site, leading to quicker noticeable results. By the way, I assume you meant under the skin rather than into the muscle, since intramuscular shots aren't common for these compounds.

AmberAnchor83archiveMar 16
↳ replying to @CopperAlder51

Ah, subcutaneous is what I intended to say. Grateful for those details you shared. Wondering if steps exist for making the nasal salt water mist?

CopperAlder51archiveMar 16
↳ replying to @AmberAnchor83

There are several threads around here that cover how to do that.

NorthThistle87archiveMar 21

Anxiety combined with ADD is tough since the usual ADD meds raise norepinephrine and that often ramps anxiety up more. Reta has actually eased mine a little. My intensity and overall give-a-shit level feel much easier to handle now.

That report seems really good, I want to say thanks for posting it here 🙏

CopperSparrow86archiveMar 22

Selank settles me but it also wipes out any real joy in life. I end up feeling totally flat with zero motivation even on a low dose. A normal dose leaves me emotionally dead plus this odd kind of depression so I stopped. It just did not work for me.
