Summary

How are people progressing and feeling on their GLP weight loss journeys right now

Forum members share personal updates on weight loss with Tirz, Reta and related compounds. Most report steady or impressive drops, some nearing or past original goals while tweaking doses or adding stacks. Many note better body composition, muscle gains or easier maintenance than before, alongside reduced hunger and side effects at lower doses. A few mention challenges like slowed loss or wondering about long-term safety of combinations.

What this discussion establishesWhere people disagree

Whether certain stacks or higher doses are necessary versus staying low and patient, and how sustainable strict diets remain once on GLPs

Still open

Long-term safety of combining multiple GLP compounds and the best approach to indefinite maintenance

Nothing here is advice.

Like lots of folks here I am nearly at my starting target but now I am considering setting a fresh one....

PlainTimber26archiveAug 7

Roughly ten pounds left to goal. I figured I would ease along at 5 mg of Tirz yet the drop has turned into a crawl. I moved up to 7.5 mg this week and feel like I did at the very beginning. I need reminders to eat. Slow is fine but half a pound weekly means five months for the last ten, ugh!

Similar spot here with roughly ten pounds still to drop. At the moment I'm taking six milligrams of the main item and the fat drop has slowed a lot. About three weeks back I started adding the other two peptides together and the shift stands out right away. Overall weight hasn't changed much yet muscle lines look sharper and those side areas have faded almost completely. It looks like fat keeps coming off while muscle comes on so the scale stays put. To confirm I got fresh scans of body makeup at the fitness spot in April and again just recently. I ran those numbers plus my latest lab results through the AI chat and it noted that for someone my age height and weight with the current lean amount and fat percentage the muscle level beats most guys much younger with a fat free index around twenty five point five which lines up with steady lifting and steady eating habits built over years. Looking ahead the chat suggested watching growth factor readings sugar numbers and heart markers over time the real point now is not if the mix works since the figures show it does but whether the gains hold safely without messing up glucose or other health signs. Shifting body fat down that far while adding lean tissue during later years like this counts as a solid outcome.

I am enjoying this, the best physique I have ever had is on the way. Results hit fast and strong. At 43 I cannot wait to be the best version of me yet and I have had some pretty strong versions already. Only needed to drop 30-35 lbs and 16.6 came off in just over six weeks. Abs are showing and the next phase will be fun. Once I hit the 240s shredded I will build more muscle and finish in the 250s at 9 percent body fat. Reta works great stacked with TRT and GH.

Wow, impressed. 43, 250 lbs, 9 percent body fat. How tall are you?

PatientMarble52archiveAug 7

Now at 149 lbs and aiming for 140-145. Not the end of the world if I miss it. Still on low doses: 1 mg Reta and 6.25 mg Tirz. Not keen to raise them because sides increase. In a few weeks when my daughter returns to school I will get more exercise by biking to pick her up each day.

BrightCompass57archiveAug 7
↳ replying to @ClearLantern70

I am 6'2. Not there yet but I will be. I was 249 at 9 percent when I turned 41 yet I want to push a bit further and stay there this time, which should be easier with TRT, GH and Reta. Planning to stay on all three long term of course.

CopperHarbour29archiveAug 7

Down from 288 to 248 since end of April. Main target is 210 by next May for the wedding. Would be nice to reach a healthy weight range someday but I will at least get below the obese line no matter what.

CopperBeacon48archiveAug 7

Always learning something new. Found a great partner I never expected after a four-year dry spell. She treats me well and pushes me to improve every day, all because the weight loss gave me confidence. GLPs have done more for me than any depression meds. I quit all prescriptions including painkillers and I am living more fully. Eighty pounds gone in 21 weeks while gaining muscle and getting stronger.

PatientKettle48archiveAug 7

Being taller than average and obese my whole life, I used to wish I could look like the janitor from Scrubs. If I ever reach something close I will get myself some work dickies. I have a naturally broad back so when I lost weight before it stayed wide and gave me a V taper, which I will happily take if I can also get a somewhat flat stomach. That used to feel impossible but now I am cautiously hopeful.

BrightHarbour62archiveAug 7

Steady progress so far. Started nine weeks ago at 277 lbs and this morning hit 250. GLPs are good but they work far better with some effort. One week before starting I began gym four days a week. One week after starting I began meal prepping and watching calories.

I like the graph in your app. Which app is it? Your journey looks incredible. What was your starting dose?

WarmWillow50archiveAug 8

Went from 330 to 130 lbs. Lost more than planned but now in maintenance and it feels strange. After two decades of losing and regaining, for the first time maintenance seems possible. Weirdest part is having zero weight left to lose for the first time in decades. Zero.

SteadySparrow75archiveAug 8

This process has been amazing overall. Years back I dropped pounds during a contest with two friends to see who could shed fifty pounds quickest. I began near two twenty five while they weighed more around two seventy five to three hundred. The odds looked bad yet I reached one seventy five inside roughly two months by sticking to tiny meals and lots of hiking. That felt rough and unwise but I won anyway. With this medication now hunger hardly shows up at all. If a craving for something big appears I soon change my mind and grab just a few nuts instead. A small piece of meat at night leaves me satisfied. The scale moves down slowly at one or two pounds each week and I sit at one ninety three hoping for one eighty to one eighty five. The numbers keep improving and everything feels far simpler and less draining than those earlier efforts.

Do you worry about your pancreas, gallbladder and dehydration when combining those two GLPs? I was on 4 mg Reta and 1 mg Ozempic pen and hunger was gone. Now I take 0.5 mg Cag instead and hunger comes and goes.

So 9 percent body fat is hard to maintain at a normal walking weight. Most people I have known at 250 lbs and 9 percent were on well over a gram a week of AAS. This is either silly or misleading. Or you have the best genetics known to man and Elon Musk. Edit to add at 6-2.

GreyMarble44archiveAug 8

Five pounds from goal. Feeling great.

PlainAlder11archiveAug 8

Hit goal and then some. Been on Reta a little over seven months, down almost 60 lbs. Started at 2 mg and finished at 10 mg. Playing with maintenance now. Alternating 6 mg for three weeks and 8 mg for one week. Seems to be holding steady.

I'm a guy who's just lowering my intake after years of training. I'm not knowledgeable about growth hormone use in females, although I'm aware that some do take it. They ought to keep the amount small. My current intake is five and a half international units, and that amount exceeds what a female should have.

Still trying to decide which route to take. Getting ready though. I did enjoy reading through this post and seeing mostly good feedback.

WarmSparrow33archiveAug 8

Right now I'm relaxing until I reach my initial target below two hundred pounds. Thirty one pounds remain until then. My beginning weight was three hundred ninety five. Roughly three years back I began with one medication followed by another around three hundred. Prior to that intermittent fasting handled the initial drop. My figures could be slightly inaccurate since I avoid the scale frequently. I feel good about my current position. Purchasing clothes beyond the larger sizes marks a new experience after quite some time. My memory seems a bit faulty these days. A pot under constant watch takes forever to heat up. Should I attain this aim then the following target becomes one hundred fifty.

CopperBeacon91archiveAug 9

Six weeks in and 18 lbs down. Super stoked and looking forward to recognizing myself in the mirror again.

CopperSignal27archiveAug 9

I've kept my weight steady around 64 to 65 kilograms after dropping from 145 back in 2022. I achieved the initial loss prior to beginning these medications through an extremely controlled eating plan that featured lots of protein making up 40 to 50 percent of my intake, foods low in energy per volume, minimal fats, and avoided anything with quick blood sugar spikes or that was tempting and easy to overeat. I got down to 75 kilograms and held there for twelve months, yet still felt hungry even though the plan aimed to minimize that. It's way simpler to hold the lower weight now that I'm using the medications, and I hit 64 kilograms while on them. Lately I've been testing things by loosening up my eating habits somewhat, after following them very closely until not long ago. I figured additional reduction wouldn't change much once my body mass index hit 23. I'm trying to figure out whether I need to maintain that level of restriction indefinitely. Without the medications there's no doubt it was essential for managing hunger, but perhaps with them I can ease up. I've started including items denser in calories than one or two per gram, such as homemade bases for pizza using protein-rich cheese rather than solely lean meats, greens, and fruits, and I've had three or four hundred calories worth of chocolate in a single day compared to my old limit of one hundred. Up to now it looks like the medications might be handling things so my hunger matches my total intake no matter the makeup, similar to how it works for naturally thin folks. That's notable because that mechanism used to be totally out of whack before the loss, where any richer foods would set off intense cravings and overeating that wouldn't stop. I'm a little taken aback that it could be somewhat restored. The numbers on the scale will show eventually; I may have gained about half a kilogram across the last couple of months, so this trial isn't confirmed as a success yet.

I'm unsure whether this should worry me. Most of my pounds came off using the mixed sema version, and some discolored sema sits untouched in cold storage. That version alone kept me from dropping under roughly 155. The reta by itself left me famished with no scale movement and only a pull toward protein. The tirz version handled appetite suppression nicely and let me reach under 150. I've brought the reta back into the mix hoping those protein cravings return exclusively, but so far nothing has shifted.

ClearWillow59archiveAug 9

This situation feels odd. I've been reducing my doses after reaching a stable point. But the recent batches of these two compounds that I mixed up are causing side effects and extra fat reduction. I've lost four more pounds in under thirty days. That's okay since I'll be consuming plenty during my trip. Still it's strange. Maybe the containers were filled too much or perhaps my body is reacting stronger now. I'm using the fourth vial from each of the two sets. The test results only covered the sampled ones yet I figured the rest would match. SW 188 GW 135 CW 131

I guess I'm going at a relaxed pace with this. I began using the medication because I felt it was my final option for improving my well-being and job situation. My job involves a lot of physical activity that can be hard to predict, and I still have nearly two decades before I can stop working. Three years back, I suffered a serious accident that hurt my ability to move around and caused more discomfort, leading me to gain fifty pounds on top of my already heavy build, which made everything tougher. Since standing or walking for long periods remains challenging, I've allowed myself to not push as intensely as in previous attempts to shed pounds. I'm proceeding gradually without stress. This summer, while off work, I've been quite inactive, yet that's acceptable. I've dropped around thirty-five pounds over half a year, which feels unbelievable, particularly given that in my younger days with ten hours of weekly exercise I'd only manage seven pounds a month, whereas now I'm exceeding five pounds monthly by just improving my diet and doing minimal activity except for some floor routines to ease my back issues, which provide relief despite not using many calories. I'm looking forward to starting the new medication alongside the current one to speed up the process a little. I won't reach my target until the following summer or autumn, and that's alright. This is the first time I'm not hurrying or feeling worried about the weight coming off. It's progressing, and I'm pleased!

Things are going well for me right now, sitting roughly five pounds shy of the target body mass I set long ago. That figure is one I last reached back in my teenage years, and I never expected to hit it again at this point in life. At five foot seven and forty six years old, I'm content staying on six milligrams every six days but have thought about bumping up either the amount or how often I take it. At the same time I'm wondering whether those last five pounds even matter, since they might actually be the ideal place to settle. I never feel restricted around meals and still take pleasure in eating once hunger shows up. I skip between meal bites and have little interest in drinks, yet I can still savor the occasional beer. I tested spacing the shots five days apart for about two weeks, yet that left me without any desire to eat at all and left me feeling off. I could give seven milligrams every six days a shot instead and see where that lands. I keep some other options tucked away for later upkeep but so far have stuck with just the one compound. Down the road I plan to move over to a different one because my energy levels have dipped a bit, and I already have a small supply of it stored away cold. I also have two five kit versions of another along with a bit of a third, all of which passed solid checks. Overall I'm thrilled I came across this corner of the internet since it offers so much shared knowledge and a real sense of connection with others. My body feels stronger than it has for ages, and the positive comments I receive are welcome even if they sometimes catch me off guard.

ClearWillow59archiveAug 10

I actually ordered both together in one shipment. Right now I'm using the fourth bottle from each batch and they hit harder than the earlier versions.

I've noticed this version doesn't curb appetite the way the other one does so quite a few users combine it with a third option to manage the cravings that come up.

GreenLantern36archiveAug 11

I've been using reta for five weeks now at a dose of one milligram each week, and my weight has now entered the normal category on the BMI scale. Since I'm disabled and don't move around much, there's still distance left to cover. My main focus remains the fat around my midsection. Recently I signed up at the nearby community fitness facility and plan to start incorporating strength exercises along with aquatic activities from here on.
