I've kept my weight steady around 64 to 65 kilograms after dropping from 145 back in 2022. I achieved the initial loss prior to beginning these medications through an extremely controlled eating plan that featured lots of protein making up 40 to 50 percent of my intake, foods low in energy per volume, minimal fats, and avoided anything with quick blood sugar spikes or that was tempting and easy to overeat. I got down to 75 kilograms and held there for twelve months, yet still felt hungry even though the plan aimed to minimize that. It's way simpler to hold the lower weight now that I'm using the medications, and I hit 64 kilograms while on them. Lately I've been testing things by loosening up my eating habits somewhat, after following them very closely until not long ago. I figured additional reduction wouldn't change much once my body mass index hit 23. I'm trying to figure out whether I need to maintain that level of restriction indefinitely. Without the medications there's no doubt it was essential for managing hunger, but perhaps with them I can ease up. I've started including items denser in calories than one or two per gram, such as homemade bases for pizza using protein-rich cheese rather than solely lean meats, greens, and fruits, and I've had three or four hundred calories worth of chocolate in a single day compared to my old limit of one hundred. Up to now it looks like the medications might be handling things so my hunger matches my total intake no matter the makeup, similar to how it works for naturally thin folks. That's notable because that mechanism used to be totally out of whack before the loss, where any richer foods would set off intense cravings and overeating that wouldn't stop. I'm a little taken aback that it could be somewhat restored. The numbers on the scale will show eventually; I may have gained about half a kilogram across the last couple of months, so this trial isn't confirmed as a success yet.
