I got a small skincare fridge for both my mixed and unmixed Reta vials, but a temperature probe shows it stays at 54.3 F. The vials feel cool, yet I wonder if that is adequate for longer storage. Online advice varies widely, especially between reconstituted and dry forms. I would rather avoid the household fridge because of roommates and visitors, but I will move everything there if needed.

That temperature is too warm. I keep reconstituted material at 34 degrees and the dry powder in the freezer at minus 12.

A normal kitchen fridge around 2-4 C is the better choice if possible. Avoiding warm spells after mixing matters more than getting it extremely cold. For use within three or four weeks the mini unit may be fine, but beyond eight weeks the colder setting helps. Reconstituted material can be frozen once with only minor loss. Dry powder is also fairly forgiving and many people simply refrigerate it. The main exception is that opened bacteriostatic water should stay at room temperature because chilling can cause separation that does not reverse on warming.

For keeping things out of sight you could try a dedicated skincare container that fits in the regular fridge. Some products are meant to be chilled anyway, so a divided case might let you store the vials underneath without drawing attention when you open it.

If the household freezer is not an option, look for compressor-style portable coolers that actually reach freezing. They are larger and louder than thermoelectric models but will get colder.

I adjusted the mini fridge and now it holds 39 degrees. I moved the backup kits into the household freezer in a plain container and only keep the current vials in the small unit. Summer heat here reaches 120 F so the little fridge may struggle later.

A chart I saw indicated bacteriostatic water lasts longer when refrigerated after opening. Because my doses are small I am thinking about reconstituting several vials now and freezing them so the water does not sit too long, though it is inexpensive to replace.

The label says room temperature is acceptable but also limits use to 28 days. The alcohol can separate when chilled and may not remix fully. I keep mine at room temperature and just swirl it before drawing. Refrigeration might slow oxidation from injected air, but the difference is probably small over a few months either way.

It is mainly for comfort since cold liquid can sting more. I only leave it out while I prep the alcohol wipes and draw the dose, and I find dull needles hurt more than temperature does.

I draw straight from the fridge into the 31-gauge syringe and inject. Earlier tests showed no difference in how easily it draws when warmed.

One video suggested letting frozen powder sit out for half an hour so it matches the temperature of the bacteriostatic water being added, to avoid condensation inside the vial. That step does not seem relevant once the material is already mixed and stored for weekly use.

I tried warming the dose because someone claimed it would absorb better, but I stopped since it made no difference. It does not hurt either way for me.
