Yesterday I reached 40 years of sobriety. It still leaves me surprised. I remember clearly when I was the new person. Life is good and I feel thankful to have it.

Well done sticking with it. Those small daily choices really pile up into long stretches before you notice.

Way to go! Several years back a close buddy of mine passed away from alcohol issues and it got me thinking that this kind of medication could have supported her especially since she carried a little extra weight which might have brought an added perk. Yet you made it through before options like these existed and you're still going strong!

That's amazing! Sending congratulations on this occasion. Forty years adds up to fourteen thousand six hundred ten days, each handled individually.

This achievement marks a big step forward in your journey, well done! It makes me recall all the folks who went down a different route instead. Having spent years in this field, I've witnessed plenty of harm that resulted. I feel thankful for each person who made it through.

That's really impressive. Years back I was consuming quite a lot but stopped entirely six years in the past. At first for about two years I steered clear of any booze whatsoever. These days there's just one allowance where I taste beers during vacations maybe twice annually. It doesn't match full abstinence I realize yet it has improved my well-being quite a bit.

That one leader from the old days might feel pleased haha

What a wonderful outcome. A close buddy of mine had his drinking habits getting out of hand. Thankfully he straightened things out prior to endangering his relationship with his wife. For many years now he's stayed away from substances and helps guide people facing similar struggles. Seeing such a complete change is truly rewarding!

That's awesome! I can see the route here took real effort. Proud of what you pulled off!
