My weight had stopped moving for more than a month even after raising tirz all the way to the top dose. Then I went to 16 mg and added .75 mg of cag and the scale finally started dropping again, six pounds in less than two weeks, probably mostly water. High tolerance to medicines has always been normal for me so it was expected, though cag is strong and needs care. Rebuilding after the surgeries comes next but that's a different topic.
Finally losing weight again.
How to break a long weight loss stall while on tirzepatide
One user ended a month-long stall by increasing tirz to 16 mg and adding 0.75 mg cag, losing 6 lb in under two weeks and attributing it partly to water weight and personal high tolerance. Another broke a May stall by eating at maintenance level for a few days plus daily intense biking. Replies note that cag is strong, everyone responds differently, and the first user is now close to goal.
What this discussion establishes- Increasing to 16 mg tirz plus 0.75 mg cag restarted loss after a month stall
- High personal tolerance to meds required higher dosing
- Cag described as powerful and needing caution
- Short period of normal-calorie eating plus heavy daily biking ended a stall
- Individual variation means each person must adjust their own approach
Nothing here is advice.
Impressive results. We all vary so I found my personal direction and stayed with it.
Yep. I'm just soo close to my goal
I was stuck in that phase the entire month of May. At last I got past it. Apparently all I required was several days of consuming meals like an average individual whose system handles food normally, combined with regular daily bike rides intense enough to give a one-balled cyclist's gonad some awareness. Just like that, the extra pounds disappeared.
Wondering if the point is to take in bigger amounts of food or cut back instead.
I aim for a deliberate reduction rather than anything random. When going after that daily shortfall from my resting energy needs I pick foods carefully enough to make my mind register satisfaction. This method has worked okay for me although results differ between people.
