No, I haven’t seen a vial run out twice as fast. I even write the expected dose count on each vial. You should double-check the math though. Standard insulin syringes are 100 units per mL, so with a 10 mg/mL concentration 10 units really is 1 mg, not 10. You got the later part right: 5 units times 10 doses is 50 units or 5 mg. Something clearly went wrong. In almost every case it’s user error. If you were taking double the amount you would probably have noticed earlier, but it depends on the peptide.

This has happened to me too, but I only lose about 5 units or less out of a full mL from purging air. Losing half the volume is way too much, so something else must be off with your measurements. 10 units equals 1 mg when you use 1 mL for a 10 mg vial.

With that reconstitution, 5 units is only 500 mcg and you should get 20 doses total.

If it helps, I made mistakes on my first few vials too. Now I write everything down and label the vials with the dose and volume.

It's probably off topic, yet each container ends up short by roughly one milligram since I feel compelled to eliminate all minuscule air pockets from the needle. Even though I realize they pose no risk, I still tap them upward and expel some solution to clear them out. Do others follow the same habit?

Are you dosing once a week? From what I understand you usually don’t want to go past 10 weeks. I have some wild guesses about the missing liquid but nothing worth mentioning.

Are you using a pen? I think I did the same thing to my 10 mg with 1 mL. I have no idea what happened. I kept trying to get the bubble out and I was switching with my Tirz for the other weekly dose. I need to buy a second pen so I don’t have to do this anymore.
