Advice on GLP-1 supplements for appetite control

26 replies8 peopleMay 19, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

Has anyone tried supplements to boost hunger suppression while on GLP-1 medications, and do they actually work?

Users expressed strong skepticism toward the multi-ingredient capsule product, noting that most listed components lack human evidence for raising GLP-1 and that water or fiber would do more. Personal reports highlighted soluble fiber from oats, artichokes, berberine, and inositol as modestly helpful before starting tirzepatide. Several warned about high B6 content risking nerve damage. Off-topic banter about usernames and hair colors dominated later replies.

To get the most out of the smallest dose, I came across this GLP-1 support capsule with the ingredients shown in the pictures. Has anyone here tried similar add-ons to strengthen appetite control from GLP meds? I took the first one today but the slight drop in hunger could easily be placebo, especially since I also used tesofensine so it's hard to tell.

I'd check each ingredient on that list and see how strongly it actually activates GLP-1.

I'll save you the trouble. The water you mix it with will probably make you feel fuller than anything else in it.

What bothers me about supplements here is they can print almost any claim short of a direct clinical one because rules are so loose. None of these ingredients look proven in people to raise GLP-1. I researched natural GLP-1 triggers last year and the only one that stood out was Eriomin, a polyphenol from blood orange. A celebrity-backed blend used some actually studied extracts that showed decent data on fat loss and GLP-1 increases.

Thanks everyone. I lost a pound today and haven't gained it back from overeating. It's day five after my last shot so I was getting worried. The next couple days are usually when food noise gets loudest.

If it ends up helping you, great. Keep us posted.

My second thank-you gift showed up tonight. Guess I'll be pairing Reta with Tirza now.

Foods high in soluble fiber like oats that you actually cook for a while, or artichokes, are known to trigger GLP-1. Berberine and inositol helped me some before I started tirzepatide. I quit the extras once the shots handled appetite fine, but I still eat the oatmeal with cinnamon, berries, flax, chia, nuts or pumpkin seeds and stay full all day.

Just from the trendy name, fancy packaging, unknown brand, and the usual multi-herb mix listed per two-capsule serving, I'd bet the actual active amounts are lower than claimed. Those are classic red flags for low-quality supplements. Total around 800 mg per serving is plausible, but if the capsules weigh under 400 mg each you know something's off. B6 becomes toxic at 100 mg daily and can cause lasting nerve damage. For the herbal parts, ask an AI in research mode to check the literature.

Haha, that's exactly the quick check I do on every supplement label now.

Haha, it is real! I thought you invented it. Sounds interesting though, I do enjoy a good deep dive.

Look, I admit I'm good at making things up, it's a built-in flaw. I write fiction so it's part of the job. But I wouldn't do that to someone who's been kind. That would be too much. Anyway, glad the payment landed. By the way the company site has info on other compounds too.

Wow, I've been online friends with designer-gal for months and never caught that her name is just designer with letters swapped. I figured it meant she was Indian or Pakistani.

Really, random? After all the coaching I gave you over the years, that's what you land on? Indian or Pakistani name? Now I'm curious what kind of South Asians you've hung out with.

She knows what I look like but I've never seen her. I don't picture my online friends anyway so at least I don't have to update anything. It would be a twist if she turned out to be both South Asian and an actual designer.

Gymnema might curb a sweet tooth but that's about it. Separate note, I wouldn't use anything with that much B6. It can mess up your nerves fast. I'm still recovering months later after dropping most peptides and supplements. I'll post about it eventually.

Nope, I'm auburn-haired Celtic and an actual designer. Once I cover the grays I'll send a picture.

I get the name origin right and she gets the picture. Typical. Anyway, thanks for clearing it up.

Wait till you see my hair. I tried for ash blonde but only got to ginger before I had to stop or fry it. Still better than the red-black phase I was over.

KeenKettle50archiveMay 21

My hair is thick vanta black.
