GHK-CU side effects?

44 replies25 peopleJul 10, 2026β˜† Follow
Summary

What side effects occur with GHK-Cu injections and how can injection site reactions be reduced?

Users report common stinging, burning, redness, bruising and itching at injection sites that often improves with more dilution, different sites like thigh or glute, NaCl BAC water, or mixing with KPV. Some note skin becoming smoother and more resilient after weeks of use while a few mention possible hair shedding or dark spots. Occasional reports of sore throat or reflux appear unrelated to the peptide itself. Dosing ranges from 1-4 mg daily with mixed views on cycling.

What this discussion establishesWhere people disagree

Whether GHK-Cu causes hair shedding under age 40 or if cycling is necessary; some see no need while others prefer on/off periods.

Still open

How long skin benefits persist after stopping and whether combining multiple peptides affects stability or pH.

Nothing here is advice.

After using the product daily for seven days the shots produce the normal pinch others mention too. Still I end up burping a lot following each one and my throat feels raw when I wake each morning. Could the two symptoms tie together? Anyone notice the same thing happening?

ClearLantern70archiveJul 10

I get stinging at injection site. And sore itching at injection site. That's it for me.

IronLantern24archiveJul 10

The ISR has been my only problem with no additional effects.

KeenSparrow16archiveJul 10

Haha maybe I'm starting to feel under the weather as well right now lol

Thinking about preparing some GHK-Cu either this coming weekend or the one after. I intend to mix GHK along with KPV using saline bacteriostatic water, perhaps combining and filtering the solutions in a clean vial before administering both at once. The idea is that adding KPV plus the bacteriostatic saline might reduce any discomfort at the injection spot. Well, should I decide to go that way, I can give an update afterward.

For me a painful throat points to stomach acid issues. Do you inject in the evenings?

I guess those glps lead to the burps since they delay how the gut handles food.

I usually do the injection right before sleep. Heartburn troubles have followed me from my younger days, so I always keep tablets close to where I rest at night.

My experience with a GHK-Cu product that already had KPV mixed in produced an extremely painful reaction at the injection site. The discomfort was intense enough to restrict my movement. Adding epi and lido gave partial relief but left the issue unresolved. What resolved it for me was running the solution through a filter and combining it with standard GHK. After making that change the reaction stopped happening. I ended up keeping some plain GHK on hand for this reason.

i recall the lotion form working when i had something like it before

NorthLantern81archiveJul 11

I used to experience intense pain and irritation whenever injecting my 4mg of GHKCU. Recently I diluted the solution further using additional bacteriostatic water. For each 100mg I combine it with 6ml of the water and opt for longer needles measuring 12mm. There is hardly any discomfort now.

ClearKettle55archiveJul 11

I've taken three milligrams each morning and evening across multiple weeks and noticed no downsides at all. Now I've cut back to a single daily intake. My complexion has turned quite smooth and glossy. I've also started mixing in glycine with collagen to help along with my aims. Hair hasn't shown any shifts so far.

GreyAlder39archiveJul 11

The saline mix combined with the multi-needle applicator greatly reduced the soreness, swellings and irritation. Yet dark patches have shown up since then. I've made up my mind to discontinue the GHK-Cu treatment altogether. As far as I'm concerned, I won't be using it in the foreseeable future either. (zero embarrassment here)

Is splitting three milligrams between morning and night acceptable? I figured four milligrams was already excessive.

I have no idea really but there have been zero bad reactions so far. I'll continue this routine for about six weeks before stopping for a while. My skin has never looked this glossy before almost like those glittering movie vampires way too much shine. My partner likes how it appears yet I'm a bit thrown off by the effect laugh.

You're quite the investigator, hats off to you. That flawless look from Korean dramas is exactly what I'm chasing. When did the pale luminescence show up on your end? Your idea about adding salt water made a real difference for me. I tried my initial shot mixing the copper peptide with saline solution yesterday and saw far less irritation at the spot, so thanks a ton. Could you break down the multiple puncture approach of dividing the total amount into three portions and placing them at separate locations? On a related note, when did any color shifts or marks first appear for you?

Whether or not anyone finds value here, my go-to for dealing with acid reflux happens to be a gel containing alginate, which doesn't involve any drugs and lets me avoid PPI related issues despite using it consistently for long stretches.

NorthSignal84archiveJul 12

I'm wondering if breaks are needed with this copper peptide. And how long might the complexion gains stick around once I quit using it.

I dialed the device to fifteen and jabbed the needle in while tallying five clicks each spot. Moving over a little I repeated the process. Marks like that have shown up on me before and I figured they were ordinary. Yet once saline got used the marks faded while these darker patches showed several days later after the shot.

ClearKettle55archiveJul 12

It lasted around thirty days. In addition, whenever I try to rub my cheek I think my nails will snag on the surface yet they glide right across instead. A girl commented that my skin was always soft though it really wasn't that way before.

Which spot are you using for shots? The stomach? That area bothers me too much, which is why I switched over to my rear and the injection pain feels much milder now.

RustSignal22archiveJul 12

I notice these reactions at the injection spot every time. It seems like after about four weeks my system gets used to it. There are occasions when I still feel some itching the following day, though the major skin issues from the initial couple of weeks are gone.

KeenSparrow16archiveJul 13

The spots where I inject around my midsection look reddish and take several days to clear up, plus some bruising shows up there too. Does that seem typical?

KeenBramble12archiveJul 13

I've noticed plenty of marks on my rear from the needles. That seems ordinary enough. Redness hasn't shown up for me, but accounts from others mention running into it.

BlueAlder28archiveJul 13
↳ replying to @KeenBramble12

I usually stick the needle roughly four inches under my belly button and a couple inches off to each side. Trying the spot right around the navel always gave me a sharp sting like a pellet from an air rifle. Shifting down a bit makes the whole thing way gentler. I ordered the injector pens originally because I wanted to place the copper peptide into my rear, yet twisting around with a standard insulin syringe seemed impossible. Once the pens showed up I realized the lower spot hurt less anyway, so I just go there now. An extra benefit is that I mix the peptide into both the original bottle and the pen cartridge using three more milliliters of sterile water, which seems to cut down the burn. I start by adding three milliliters to the powder, pull out half of that into the cartridge, then add another three milliliters and divide it evenly. That leaves one hundred milligrams spread through six milliliters total. Not sure if it works better overall, but at least the sharp pain is gone. Regarding the question about strange reactions, nothing unusual turned up with the peptide itself. The main change is that my skin feels tougher and more elastic, and folks mention the lines on my face look softer. I also stir collagen powder into my morning coffee, do some needling sessions, and rub on a four percent cream version. The loose skin under my chin is still there though.

BlueThistle84archiveJul 13

That peptide made my hair fall out too when I was under forty.

KeenSparrow16archiveJul 14
↳ replying to @BlueAlder28

I guess I'm getting the flu right when I began this new regimen but it's probably unrelated since my partner caught it as well. Which kind of skin needling procedure are you using? Bummer about the neck area. I suspect I might reach that point too fingers crossed. Could you explain more or tell me the source of that info? I thought this would improve the condition of my hair. From what I know applying it on the skin might act like certain hair growth products that lead to temporary shedding while starting fresh growth without causing lasting baldness.

SteadyAnchor73archiveJul 14

Some wellness advocate has spent the past two decades repeating that folks require extra copper from meals otherwise their hair could start shedding.

BlueAlder28archiveJul 14

After a hot shower I roll my skin with a fine needle tool and then smooth on the copper peptide cream. The site makes buying simple even though I dislike sending them cash. My neck area has improved noticeably maybe around a fifth. I also keep up with the extension routines shared on this forum and I take the multi collagen powder blend.

BlueCompass15archiveJul 14

I didn't get any bad reactions and avoided the burning feeling altogether by cleaning the needle using an alcohol wipe after extracting from the container.

Personally I handle the injection after I've woken and started moving, or else I quit meals quite a bit sooner before dark.

From what I've seen online plenty of folks mix it with extra liquid and yeah that probably cuts down on the burning sensation. Never had a pellet gun hit me but I bet the discomfort feels pretty much the same. Curious about the reason behind it all.

BlueAlder28archiveJul 15
↳ replying to @KeenBramble12

I mixed the GHK-Cu with extra liquid after seeing discussions online. That reduced the issue somewhat yet locating a spot with lower sensitivity by trying different injection sites made a bigger difference. Many folks recommend the buttocks area but I discovered something else that suits my situation. I believed the discomfort came solely from the copper particles yet it appears other elements play a role as well. According to an overview the pain from these injections mainly stems from the copper triggering nearby nerve sensors and immune responses in the tissue under the skin. This gets intensified by lower acidity levels high strength mixtures or quick delivery that stretches the area. The sharp feeling is usual and fades after a short time. Main causes involve the copper activating pain receptors and causing histamine release acidity and strength of the solution not matching body fluids leading to cell effects.

I tried injecting into my midsection and the side before but the pain was brutal and left a huge discoloration that stuck around forever. These days I use the top part of my leg right in the soft tissue and now and then there's just a tiny prickling feeling nothing compared to the other spot. If it was always that bad I would quit doing this stuff for good.

I've made my choice. Injecting into the leg this evening. Hope everything turns out fine.

Injected 2mg mixed with 0.4mg KPV blend straight into my leg. Added another 0.5mg of KPV right after. Acting pretty bold today. πŸ‘ 😎

My partner who turned fifty this year wants to try GHK-CU. Wondering about an initial amount and how often to apply it since various websites show conflicting details.

SteadySparrow75archiveJul 20
↳ replying to @KeenMarble16

My experience so far has been pretty okay. I notice where I inject there's a mild prick but nothing else like swelling or marks appears. That prick fades fast by the next day. Switching between my two legs for the shots. Began with one milligram over point two of the mix and raised it to double that roughly six times back. Considering trying three over point six this evening to check the feel. Also I add another milligram of the second part in the leg first then do the combined one in the exact same spot afterward. That might be making a difference too.

I tossed all the stuff into my basket. I get the hesitation about handing cash over to them, yet it's seriously tough. Appreciate you dropping those links my way.

Together with my spouse we consume the compound. I began at one milligram each day across seven days. Assuming it sits well then shift up to two milligrams daily. This supplies twenty eight days worth drawn from fifty milligrams total. Next comes a fourteen day break before returning to two milligrams per day across fifty days equaling one hundred milligrams. We keep repeating the pattern of twenty eight days off followed by fifty on. Plenty of people skip breaks yet this matches what we like. Also I forgot to note that I mix down to ten milligrams per milliliter so a bigger container is required when filtering in five milliliters of the sodium chloride solution. DEFINITELY NOT HEALTHCARE RECOMMENDATION

It's good to learn things improved on your end. Yet this pep tends to cause issues regardless lol. I still value the feedback you provided though.

QuietMarble25archiveAug 4

Before, the copper peptide always caused sharp pain along with skin marks no matter how much sterile liquid went in. These days I blend it together with BPC-157 first. I pull up 10.5 units of the blend in a one-milliliter syringe to get 350 micrograms of BPC along with 1.75 milligrams of GHK-Cu. Next I add 500 micrograms of KPV to that same syringe. Folks mention that putting three peptides together might shift the acidity balance. Even so the good results still show up and the pain plus marks have stopped.
