I always thought it was spelled yarmulka. Interesting.

Could be multiple spellings, like Hanukkah variations.

Makes it simpler to tune out the bigots and anyone backing them.

Transliteration leads to lots of English spellings and even more in other languages.

Kippa works too. In my head it comes out as yamika.

Or perhaps an MD from another country does not automatically gain the legal right to practice here. It is a long process even after meeting all home-country requirements.

Not a person, a thing. In the Jewish faith people cover their head around G-d, and since G-d is everywhere some do it all the time while others limit it to ceremonies.

Is there a peptide for empathy? Not one comment here saying RIP to the young woman who lost her life senselessly. Some are even joking. I hope she gets justice because this was preventable. It is ironic that people here downplay it as user error when the same forum often suggests keeping an EpiPen or antihistamines handy for histamine reactions to these same compounds. It is plausible she simply had a bad reaction and the center had no emergency plan. These sketchy places are common; they probably gave the shot and walked away to handle the next paying customer because it is all about the money.

Did you just come in here and scold everyone?

KeenKettle50archiveJul 30

Ain't my supervisor, screams in that character voice.

What is this, Soviet Russia? No, seriously asking.

Wealthy relatives drive up to NYC for their Reta shots and get charged 250 each time. Insane.

AmberHarbour54archiveAug 5

Next time I am at that clinic I will skip the IV infusions. The procedure happened inside the Bereshit Lifestyle Center.

Wait, 250 for a vial or per dose? Either way that is steep.

KeenCinder20archiveAug 6

250 for a single shot.

Toxicology is not finished yet. She had a cardiac event so the two might be unrelated. He is licensed, just not in New York where it happened. Would he have been arrested if licensed in New York?

This terrifies me with the risk of accusations and it is not worth the quick money unless completely anonymous.

Not anywhere in the United States. Only licensed as a DR doctor.

After checking its meaning online i discovered the term comes from an ancient israeli language and refers to the beginning of everything. this somehow makes you think i must be bigoted just for lacking knowledge of that language. the jokes from those two silly cartoon characters explain why the term strikes me as comical.

That expression comes from Hebrew and means the start of everything. It also opens the book of Genesis. I see no humor in the matter, but the patient who died there found their conclusion at the facility instead of any new beginning.
