He's clearly just frustrated that it didn't work for him.

What do you mean by working too well exactly?

LevelBramble49archiveMay 5
↳ replying to @PlainAlder11

I hit my target weight and then some. Still hitting my macros every day. Losing 2kg a week though which is quicker than I planned.

PlainAlder11archiveMay 5

4.5 pounds a week feels too fast based on what I've read. How much total have you lost, and what were your starting and current weights? Just curious.

LevelBramble49archiveMay 6
↳ replying to @PlainAlder11

Only been on it a month. Started at 99kg and now at 94kg. The last two weeks have been a steady 2kg drop each week. Tried to slow it with one refeed day adding more carbs and saltier foods to refill glycogen. That bumped me up a kilo for a day and I looked leaner but I'm back down to 94.2.

WarmPebble39archiveMay 6

Story of a slow responder here. Started at 285lbs with BMI around 36. Was at 300 at my heaviest last Oct-Nov when I began OMAD fasting and moving more which got me down to my current starting weight by January. For the past four months on OMAD I've been completely stalled even with occasional 36-hour fasts and more walking. Started reta two weeks ago and also ramped up activity with rowing machine Monday through Friday plus kettlebell workouts Monday Wednesday Friday. Week one I did an initial 1mg shot waited four days to watch for sides then another 1mg. Week two I'm now doing 2mg every seven days as the plan for the rest of month one. Scale has barely moved sitting at 284 thanks to less food and harder workouts. I do feel more satisfied right away during OMAD meals than before and sometimes need to stay hydrated but otherwise hardly any sides. Just focusing on getting active and hoping to finally see some real movement from the reta.

You're motivated. Hope the reta eventually kicks in alongside all that discipline. I took my first 0.5mg shot yesterday and my wife did the same. She felt great and energetic today while I felt a bit lethargic though nothing a strong coffee didn't fix.

WarmPebble39archiveMay 6
↳ replying to @BrightAnchor19

I had a touch of light fatigue but it seems to pass fast usually within a day or two after the shot. Not the same thing but still curious if you and your wife respond differently to flu shots and such. In our house I rarely get sides while the rest of the family gets wiped out.

BrightAnchor19archiveMay 6
↳ replying to @WarmPebble39

Since we've been married we haven't gotten flu shots but before that whenever I got one I'd end up with flu-like symptoms.

KeenPebble10archiveMay 6

Started at 2mg. Now on week nine and sitting at 3mg.

WarmCompass15archiveMay 6

I'm at 1mg and have been here for eleven weeks.

PlainAlder11archiveMay 6

Jeez these baby doses.

PlainAlder11archiveMay 6
↳ replying to @WarmCompass15

How much have you lost in almost three months?

WarmCompass15archiveMay 8
↳ replying to @PlainAlder11

15lbs but I'm not really trying to lose weight. It's mainly to quiet some of that constant hunger.

QuietWillow33archiveMay 8

I kicked off at one milligram and have since gone up to eight while dropping sixty six pounds.

RustSignal22archiveMay 8

About three weeks back I began by taking half a milligram. Within that same stretch of days I took a second half. These days I'm up to one and a half milligrams following a cycle of five days.

PlainAlder11archiveMay 9

Earlier today we increased to eight milligrams.

LevelTimber44archiveMay 9

I've been on it for two years more or less with some stretches of cagrilintide or tirzepatide but always gained on those. I can maintain or lose a little on 8mg sometimes I do 12 but then feel tired. My issue is I need to be on antipsychotics and gain one to two kg a week when I'm not on reta. Tried switching antipsychotics multiple times but the weight gain stays the same and some give me tits from high prolactin. Currently working with a doctor on a very slow taper of the antipsychotic which will take at least another year if it's possible at all. Thought maybe with the lower dose I could quit reta but that was wrong. Quit cold turkey and the first four weeks were fine then slowly gained a couple kg. No middle of the night eating problems at first but this past week the 2am need to eat now episodes returned. Nothing at home but it turns into wanting to eat pure sugar so now I'm back on reta.

KeenCompass89archiveMay 9

Currently 3.5mg every six days.

GreyPebble34archiveMay 9
↳ replying to @LevelTimber44

These drugs could be a real help for people on antipsychotics since weight gain seems almost universal and folks end up choosing between mental and physical health. Would be great if a low-dose GLP-1 became standard with antipsychotics. I was on 2-4 weekly for almost a year then stopped for a few months and pinned 4mg ten days ago and now I'm struggling to eat. Once this wears off I'll probably go to 1-2mg every five to six days.

BlueHarbour29archiveMay 10

Hello. Started six weeks ago with doses of 2mg 2mg 2.5mg 3mg 3.5mg. I'm 192cm tall started at 112kg. My starting dose was 2mg and I increased because for the last six years I was on liraglutide from the pharmacy for type 2 diabetes but it stopped working completely. Current dose feels very good so I'll stay at 3.5 or even drop to 3mg today for the sixth dose. Injecting every Sunday. By Saturday I start feeling a little hungry but it's manageable. One day with extra calories doesn't ruin my daily protein fat carb tracking so no issue. Planning to keep the once a week injection schedule. Also started heavy gym workouts three times a week and will extend that plus adding bike rides and walks now that spring is here. Trying to burn fat without losing muscle so staying patient and avoiding a big calorie deficit. Down 4.5 to 5kg so far including creatine.

PatientMeadow19archiveMay 10

I'm a guy in my fifties who began this at two hundred seventy three pounds and five foot ten. Used to lift heavy as a powerlifter and sports guy until an injury three years back stopped my eleven hundred pound total. For twenty five years I couldn't drop under two thirty no matter the attempts and it drove me nuts even though I stayed active despite the extra weight. First week on the half milligram dose I dropped three point seven pounds but the second week nothing moved even though my routine stayed identical. I just got over that injury and finished a long job project in another state. Now entering week three after taking my third half milligram injection. I opted to begin at a low amount and increase gradually because meds hit me oddly and it runs in the family. My schedule calls for four weeks each at half then one then two milligrams before deciding next steps. On effects so far I get random urges for salty food which never happened before and I keep up my water. Sleep used to be hard to reach deep levels but now it's like a heavy hibernation and that's been going two weeks feeling weird yet positive. Everything else seems fine up to now.

Lately I've been dozing off sooner and resting soundly through the night. Yesterday evening my spouse and I visited a sports bar to catch a mixed martial arts match. That outing showed us firsthand how our hunger has decreased and we're avoiding greasy meals. I skipped getting my usual sauced chicken pieces for the very first time. Managed to eat only eight of those but left the potatoes unfinished. My partner consumed four and abandoned the pasta side. She may have dropped four pounds solely due to less swelling. This marks our initial seven days with two half-milligram shots. Really impressive results.

GreenThistle20archiveMay 11

I began with a dose of 2 milligrams. By the time I get to my third injection, the amount will increase to 3 milligrams. It's only been a short while, yet I'm optimistic regarding the progress up to now.

SlowMarble44archiveMay 11

Still at 1mg where I began, just finished the fourth shot and have no cause to consider going higher yet.

That's fantastic! Relieved to learn these reactions aren't hitting just me!! Ready to roll!!!

PlainAlder11archiveMay 11
↳ replying to @GreenThistle20

I kept the dose at two milligrams through the first month so the amount could accumulate the way the research showed. Is the weight dropping for you?

LevelWillow65archiveMay 11

I've hit the six week point on this. It's helping drop those final stubborn pounds around my middle that men my age have trouble losing. At the moment I'm injecting once every three and a half days at one point five milligrams. I train hard doing crossfit workouts and this amount suits me well.

PlainAlder11archiveMay 12

I've lost forty pounds, or eighteen kilos if that's how you track things. Dosing started at two milligrams every four weeks, moved up to four, then six for six weeks, seven for two weeks, and I took my first eight milligrams this past Friday. I don't exercise since I'm older.

SharpTimber40archiveMay 12

Right now I'm using 7.5 mg Tirz combined with 5 mg reta. That quantity could look too much yet it has proven ideal over the recent weeks. My intention is to maintain these amounts temporarily and then start decreasing Tirz while boosting reta later on.

PlainAlder11archiveMay 12

It's been four months for me. I get a bit of indigestion sometimes right after the injection, but even that has faded. My spouse and I avoided all the other reactions people mention from trials and online, apart from the indigestion.

RustSignal22archiveMay 12

I kicked things off three weeks back with half a milligram and have been stepping it up through one then one and a half before hitting two milligrams which I now use once every five days. Seeing how this plays out.

WarmMarble23archiveMay 13

Started at 225 pounds and now sit at 213. Gave myself the ninth injection today. That marks the fourth time using the 3 milligram amount. I stayed at that level because the pounds continue to drop. Hunger control remains limited, yet I reach fullness quickly and feel uneasy after eating more than needed. Overall it seems to be doing the job. I could move up to the next strength before long but see no need to rush.

ClearQuill72archiveMay 15

I began with a small amount during the initial fortnight, and then increased it slightly for the following two weeks, now being in the fourth week overall. It's been effective up to this point, which is why I'm avoiding any hurry. The approach I have is to maintain the present level as long as it continues to deliver results, but to raise it gradually should the benefits start to diminish or advancement halt.

Been using reta around six weeks at two milligrams per week divided across two shots. Weight training happens five times weekly plus thirty to fifty minutes of cardio that varies with my energy levels. Results look solid with five meals daily under a calorie limit yet morning hunger for breakfast persists along with sporadic desires for a treat meal which I limit to once weekly by following my plan closely. Progress feels good through steady bodyweight drop from two hundred twenty pounds initially to one hundred ninety five across twelve weeks where the final portion included reta.

PlainAlder11archiveMay 16

Did 8mg this morning.

IronCompass90archiveMay 16

I'm on the two milligram dose right now because it's doing the job well enough and there's no reason for me to go higher since the pounds are coming off at a consistent and safe pace. I didn't have that much extra to begin with anyway.

PlainSparrow60archiveMay 17

I acquired the substance prior to conducting extensive investigation and escalated the amount far too rapidly. Appetite reduction became noticeable once I reached one milligram each week, prompting me to continue increasing until arriving at four milligrams weekly. At that level the heightened skin reactions made the body hair irritating against fabric almost leading me to remove it from my limbs. Over six weeks I shed ten pounds before discontinuing use. Currently I maintain a steady one milligram per week since it effectively quiets the constant thoughts about eating.

IronAlder37archiveMay 17

Started off on 2.5 milligrams during the first seven days because I tried this earlier but paused for a while. Now I'm taking 5 milligrams across the last couple of weeks and have dropped thirteen kilograms.

WarmPebble39archiveMay 17

My progress update covers my height of six foot two along with starting at two hundred eighty six pounds and now sitting at two hundred eighty three while aiming for one hundred eighty five. Dosing began at two milligrams the first week then moved to four milligrams for the next two weeks with each amount divided into injections spaced about three and a half days apart. Once I tried splitting the amounts I liked having several injection days so I continued that pattern through the opening month. Five workout sessions fill my week with kettlebell routines three times plus rowing five times and rest on the weekends. Daily fluid intake reaches three liters including electrolytes while calories stay capped at fourteen hundred and protein hovers near one hundred thirty seven grams with a target of one hundred sixty. Little scale movement showed up across the opening three weeks yet a noticeable drop appeared after a recent session which gave some positive feedback. Feeling full after eating makes me doubt any issue with potency. Adjusting to new exercise after long inactivity along with the electrolytes and fluid retention seems to have hidden the real changes so far. The scale hit two hundred eighty one right after training which tends to give the lowest readings. For the coming month I intend to switch to single weekly injections instead of splits to test how that works while holding the four milligram total steady to allow more time for effects. Holding back from increasing the amount takes some restraint right now. I also plan to try a separate source to check whether the current batch might be under strength.

SlowLedger88archiveMay 17

I have only just begun this process and took my initial amount of half a milligram without experiencing any adverse reactions. My intention is to stay on the smallest possible quantity for as long as feasible. Next week I intend to increase the amount to one milligram and then evaluate the situation following a three-week period. Since I am nearly at my target body mass, minimizing the quantity used remains important to me. Depending on how things go I could raise it further to two milligrams but have no intention of exceeding that level.

LevelLedger10archiveMay 18
↳ replying to @AmberMarble84

Has the lack of pleasure gotten any better since you lowered your amount? I developed a strong case of it from larger amounts of that medication and started reducing back toward five milligrams now that I've reached my target. The issue remains unchanged so far.

NorthThistle12archiveMay 18

My current dose is two point five milligrams once per week. Fullness sets in rapidly for me. Consuming twenty six hundred calories along with two hundred ten grams of protein poses no issue at all. I plan to maintain this approach until hunger returns.

BrightCompass30archiveMay 19

I began with two milligrams each week divided across two injections. Following roughly six weeks the urge to eat returned so I went up to three milligrams per week. Three weeks after that the same issue appeared once more leading me to consider four milligrams weekly. My scale has only dropped by seven pounds total though I started with limited excess weight anyway. At this age in the fifties the remaining issue sits around the midsection which resists reduction. Still my shape seems to have shifted somewhat making the numbers on the scale less important. The main goal was lowering my glucose levels and that part succeeded. Daily workouts were already routine but I included more resistance exercises to protect muscle while focusing on high protein intake. The initial quieting of constant food thoughts was great since dwelling on meals all the time frustrates me. Should increasing the dose fail to restore that effect I may try combining with one of the other options I haven't used before. I intend to incorporate something else aimed at targeting the abdominal area.

I'm really impressed with how well this dosage is working right now. It comes from two brand new bottles of the product sourced from someone I've ordered from successfully in the past. Things had plateaued badly at the six milligram level, and bumping it up to seven produced zero results. On my Tuesday morning weighing, I saw a reduction of three point two pounds plus zero point five in BMI and zero point six percent body fat after only four days. Never experienced such rapid change over seven days before this. The usual pattern for me is one to two point five pounds lost weekly.

Lol those two containers have been chilling untouched in the cold since the year ended without me cracking them open. Eager to shove the stuff into people anyway. That flavor hits the spot.

😂😂😂 I'm way inside the promised land where meals never cause me problems. There's this ongoing funny bit between me and that green guy over frozen chocolate sticks.

PlainAlder11archiveMay 19

Sure, pick on the new guy. The 8mg is rocking now.
