Keep going back and forth on which to add….

Summary

Should I add Cagri or low-dose Reta to ongoing Tirzepatide for steadier appetite control?

Users on Tirz report that adding weekly Cagri between doses or a small mid-week Reta dose both reduce returning food noise without needing to raise Tirz. Experiences show Cagri provides strong suppression while Reta adds energy and glucagon effects; both stacks were started low and spaced apart. Most prefer keeping Tirz and testing one addition at a time rather than all three together.

I'm currently using Tirzepatide but have held off on adding anything else because I'm being careful. The appetite control isn't steady, so Cagri caught my attention. Stacking a low dose of Reta with Tirz also sounds useful for the glucagon receptor activity. I have no plans to combine all three at once. Not sure which option to try first. Anyone with experience on either pairing, and which felt better?

SharpTimber40archiveApr 14

I'm also not looking to stop Tirz. The appetite benefits have been strong, so switching entirely to Reta isn't appealing.

KeenBramble44archiveApr 14

From what I've seen, inserting Cagri between the Tirz injections makes a noticeable difference.

I chose Cagri for the same reason, wanting to remain on Tirz and possibly test Reta later during maintenance. Adding it a month and a half ago led to another 12 lbs lost. Current schedule is 6 mg Tirz on Tuesdays and 700 mcg Cagri on Saturdays.

Is Cagri taken just once weekly? How does it feel once you inject it? Does the suppression feel the same or different?

Not a doctor, so treat this like advice from any random person online. Instead of raising my Tirz dose I added Reta a few days later. Tirz on Friday mornings, Reta Monday evenings. Started at 0.5 mg for a couple weeks with no issues, moved to 1 mg, then recently to 1.5 mg. Reta isn't the strongest appetite suppressor on its own, but together they work well. No weight loss yet because I had already plateaued, which is why I added it. On 7.5 mg Tirz, the return of food noise prompted the cautious Reta start between doses so the effect doesn't fade. Appetite remains but without the mental noise, which is pleasant. I can still enjoy meals unlike with sema.

How did the 0.5 mg Reta dose feel? Was anything noticeable?

LevelFenwick49archiveApr 15

Is the fluctuating suppression happening before the next shot or something different? If you can increase the Tirz dose, that might buy time to choose what to add. Splitting the dose or moving shots to every five or six days would also raise the weekly amount. I haven't tried Reta, Cagri, or survo because I'm cautious, so no personal experiences there. Shortening to six days helped until I decide.

I've been on 2.5 mg Tirz for four weeks and also wanted to try the Tirz plus Reta stack. On Tirz alone the suppression was similar to what you described, present but inconsistent. After adding 1 mg Reta three days after the fourth Tirz shot, suppression became very strong the next day. Physical hunger is still there but mental food noise is gone. Eating changes the most: I have to go slow, get full after a few bites, and finish the rest just for nutrition. Might drop Reta to 0.5 mg next week depending on how things go. Also noticing better energy, clearer thinking, and less fog, so it seems worth it.

I inject every 3.5 days at 2.5 mg because larger single doses cause GI problems, and going higher makes me sick. I just end up a bit hungrier than I'd prefer. I think I'll add Reta mainly for the glucagon effect rather than extra appetite control.

I think I'll go with the Reta stack and keep Cagri for a later stall. Appreciate the details.

Yes, once a week because Cagri has roughly an eight-day half-life.

SteadyTimber22archiveApr 15

I'm desperate for your help because it looks like you're the last chance I've got.

It was slightly noticeable. The 1 mg dose worked better.

A lot of reports mention combining Reta with Tirz, and one video points out dosage as a key factor often missed. Using two peptides at full strength on the same receptors probably isn't ideal, but keeping one at a lower supplemental dose while the other stays higher seems more reasonable. The video covers whether stacking Tirzepatide and Retatrutide is safe. Always keep learning.
