Crepey skin on face after weight loss

Summary

how to improve crepey facial skin after rapid weight loss on tirzepatide using only home routines and peptides

People report starting prescription tretinoin, adding hydration and daily SPF, trying GHK-Cu topically or by injection, microneedling, and oral collagen. Some combine these with facial exercises and note texture and wrinkle improvements after several weeks, though neck skin changes are slower. One user attributes loose neck skin mainly to age rather than the medication.

Looking for suggestions. In my 50s, began the medication in April and dropped 20 pounds in two months. It has worked better than expected and I still have about 15 pounds to go. My face now looks much older though, with new crepey texture especially visible when smiling. A few lines were already starting before the weight came off. I read up on options and began one peptide product a couple weeks ago. I also arranged an online visit and expect to receive a retinoid cream soon. Hoping for everyday skincare steps or other peptides that have helped others in the same spot. Avoiding any in-office treatments because of cost.

Appreciate the reply. I left out the dark spots because those predated the weight change. Considering a lactic acid serum for them and checked compatibility with the retinoid. It seems fine if not applied together. Also picked up a ceramide and hyaluronic acid moisturizer to layer underneath. Open to better options if anyone has them. Microneedling keeps coming up in groups so I may look into that further.

Lost 50 pounds on the same medication and ended up with loose neck skin. Started daily peptide injections plus microneedling three times a week using the same peptide in cream form. Neck has not changed much but overall skin feels firmer with fewer lines. Added collagen to coffee and some face stretches for the chin area. After one week the neck looks slightly better.

Got a 0.2 mm roller and the peptide cream online. For collagen I went with the one another user here recommended.

I have that neck issue too. It is just age.

Thanks. I need to wait on the microneedling because I just started the retinoid. Went ahead and ordered the collagen powder though.

Hoping low-dose daily growth hormone will add some volume back to my face. The lines on my cheeks are the worst part. Planning to begin next week.

Have been using 4 units daily for the past six weeks and the cheek lines that showed up after fat loss are beginning to soften. Expect another month or so before they are gone.

Use the prescription retinoid twice weekly at first then increase to three times. Sunscreen every day is required even indoors. Drink at least two to three liters of water daily because dehydration makes skin look crepey. The peptide can be mixed into night cream a few evenings a week in addition to injections. Another peptide blend and vitamin C serum also helped with brightness for me, but none of it works without the water and sun protection.

Good points. Before the medication I rarely drank water but now manage at least two liters daily. I also avoided sunscreen for years and that plus the weight loss has made the spots and lines worse. Need to buy the sunscreen today since the retinoid arrives soon. Mixing the peptide into night cream sounds useful.
