What mistakes or lessons have you learned?

I got lucky but it could have gone badly. While filling a syringe my 31g needle was a little bent and I went ahead and injected with it anyway. Later someone posted about the risks and I will never do that again.

One thing I wish I had known ahead of time was how much money I would end up spending. It is worth it for many years of supply though.

Do not inject on or near a stretch mark. I do not know why but it causes some swelling.

Sure wish I'd picked up on this earlier since my overall expenses came out higher as a result.

Do not follow anyone else's titration schedule. Start low and watch your body's reactions closely. No one else matters.

One error from my past that still bothers me came when I stood up for a seller after getting good results myself and even pushed back against complaints about them. Later on serious problems showed up with that seller. Now I steer clear of recommending any sellers because situations can turn bad without warning.

Pinning after a night out. I dropped a loaded syringe that landed like a dart in my toe. I stabbed my finger while pinching. I blunted a needle badly trying to get through the fat part of the stopper then injected myself like I was harpooning a whale. It hurt a lot and the area showed all kinds of colors for the next few days. Lesson learned.

I had a heavy night of alcohol with one of these. The next day was one of the most painful days I have ever had. The hangover was worse than anything before. I will never repeat that again, it would mean two days lost.

If you are at a good point with one kind of GLP-1, do not switch to another just out of curiosity or thinking it might give better results. There is no guarantee it will work well for you even if many others report great results. Results differ from person to person. I switched without a real reason and stopped after two weeks because of three days of heavy diarrhea. It was not right for me. I went back and everything returned to normal.

Rushing to buy from a single vial reseller. I spent more on that one vial than I now spend on two kits.

I learned there is an inverse correlation between the number of people taking GLPs and the number of overweight people on planes. As more people use these the number of overweight passengers taking up extra seat space goes down in a straight line. Probably half the country or more should be on them. Less insulin resistance and diabetes, fewer heart and health problems, fewer people filling hospitals and raising premiums, and most importantly fewer overweight people on planes. Seems like a win all around.

While mixing the powder I grabbed the shorter vent cap by mistake and tried forcing it onto the longer needle. My finger was covering the back of the cap instead of the edges. The tip went right through and into my skin. Ever since that happened I always grip caps from the sides when covering needles.

Know what day of the week it is, especially if you are using two different ones on two different days. As a teacher, knowing the days in the summer can be tricky. It took three weeks and an unplanned dose increase to get back to the right schedule.
