Is complete darkness essential, perhaps requiring night vision gear for the task? Could even a minute or two of exposure during mixing cause real problems? Air raises a separate issue, since standard guidance calls for pushing some into the vial via syringe, but air is also said to degrade the peptide. With a vial lasting around a month and multiple draws, would those air additions add up to noticeable harm?

Brief light contact will not harm the peptide quickly, so just refrigerate once the liquid looks clear. Air itself is not a problem, though I prefer to vent the vial instead. No reason to push air in at all. Avoid overthinking the whole thing and simply proceed.

Light exposure has never been a concern for me since the material is only out briefly during mixing and even shorter when drawing doses. I quit adding matching air to the vial before drawing, but only because it feels better that way. Actual harm from the air step seems unlikely.

Adding air or venting works fine provided a filter sits on the needle, given that these vials are typically finished within four to six weeks.

I remove the vial from the freezer, mix on a paper towel at the kitchen counter, then store it in a small box inside the fridge. Air still gets pushed into the vial before drawing because pulling the liquid without it feels nearly impossible due to the strong vacuum.

The workspace gets wiped with alcohol before mixing. When drawing, air equal to at least half the planned volume goes into the vial first since the vacuum otherwise makes withdrawal tough. Bacteria in that air is not a worry, though the bathroom is avoided because of typical fecal particles in the air there. Kitchen or desk air feels acceptable by comparison.

Any thoughts on leaving a vent needle with filter stuck through the stopper for the entire storage period? It would save effort and cost, though I have not tried it yet.

Standard guidance often recommends putting half a milliliter of air into the syringe when planning to withdraw the same volume of liquid.
