Mislabeled TR60/TR10 vials and syringe versus pen unit math disputes

87 replies25 peopleMay 29, 2026β˜† Follow
Summary

how to resolve unit conversion errors and labeling issues when using syringes or pens with TR60/TR10 vials

The thread establishes that an infographic confuses ml/cc markings and fails to clarify the claim that each line on a 1mL/50-line syringe equals one IU. Participants note that a pen measurement of 0.5 ml equaling 60 units further demonstrates unit confusion, while 60 clicks for 0.5 ml is taken as evidence the pen itself is inaccurate. Replies are shown to have missed the original graphic discussion sequence, and no new details address the vial shortage or alter the labeling-error conclusion.

I'm wondering if part of this purchase might have gone wrong somehow. The marking on it has me really puzzled.

LevelBramble14archiveMay 29

How did the individuals answer after you inquired with them?

RustQuill94archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @LevelBramble14

I reached out a bit ago but since it's dark where they are a reply probably won't arrive until evening here. Excuse the thread though I'm worried I ordered the TR60 yet received the TR10 by mistake.

Don't stress over it. I'm sure they'll just toss in a small credit for another purchase later on. But really, I'm hoping everything turns out okay for you.

Referring to this as a delivery mix-up feels far more fitting than accusing anyone of fraud since the quantity received works out to several times the intended amount. Mixing the product with three milliliters of BAC water means half a milliliter delivers ten milligrams. Drawing twelve point five units from a one milliliter syringe then gives a two point five milligram dose. That still leaves fifty milligrams sitting in the remaining two point five milliliters of liquid which could be shared with someone else or simply discarded. If the situation were mine I would reach out to mention the incorrect amount but would avoid raising any objection.

SlowBramble67archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @RustQuill94 (opening post)

I believe the term shipping error fits better than labeling it a scam. Getting six times the expected amount means it's not dishonest at all. The product can still be mixed properly to extract ten milligrams for use. For example adding three milliliters of the water makes each half milliliter hold that dose. Measuring two point five milligrams requires twelve point five units on a one milliliter syringe. The remaining fifty milligrams in two point five milliliters of water could go to another person or be discarded as one sees fit. I reached out to the seller to note the error but avoided any complaints.

RustQuill94archiveMay 29

Probably the person handling the labels updated the first part but overlooked the lower section. Hopefully the production wasn't handled so carelessly πŸ˜‚. Another possibility that crossed my mind is some kind of border regulation issue. No idea really. I'll post again once I hear back.

RustQuill94archiveMay 29

I'm unsure about the quantity inside these containers since they show markings for both sixty milligrams and ten milligrams. There's no way I'm going to inject everything at once. Instead I'll mix in three milliliters of bac and draw fifty units hoping that delivers the ten milligram amount I want. Plus since I covered the cost for the larger option it doesn't seem like I'm receiving six times as much product and it could even turn out to be just one sixth.

LevelThistle44archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @SlowBramble67

Once more your understanding falls short. The product code suggests ten containers of sixty milligrams each. The printed marking instead reveals ten containers of ten milligrams each. No extra half gram arrived without charge. Half a gram simply went missing. How much did that end up running?

SlowBramble67archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @RustQuill94

Could you snap a shot of the container with the powder visible and post it in this thread? The quantities look really different from each other. There's no way to calculate the exact milligrams inside. Still it would indicate whether the total sits near ten or way higher.

I got two kits but trying to note the expense caused my comment to get blocked.

SharpAnchor92archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @SlowBramble67

The tablet dimensions bear no relation to the milligrams of active content inside. Filler quantities are what actually differ.

SlowBramble67archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @LevelThistle44

Finished my shift and arrived home a bit ago. Started at half past four this morning and wrapped up at six tonight. Only noticed that single listing. Now checking the ten small bottles holding ten milligrams each.

RustQuill94archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @SlowBramble67

The resulting powder volume matches exactly for both strengths so the milligram values fail to indicate the actual amount.

SharpAnchor92archiveMay 29

Even with the current rule blocking any talk of origins, maybe the moderators will allow identifying the seller anyway. Still, the group ought to learn about this hazardous wrongly labeled product that's circulating, no matter how support turns out.

LevelThistle44archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @SlowBramble67

The liquid volume separating ten milligrams from sixty milligrams of the peptide amounts to only point zero three through point zero five milliliters, corresponding to three to five units on an everyday insulin syringe.

SlowBramble67archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @SharpAnchor92

I have no choice but to sit around for an answer from the provider. That's all there is to it. At the very least I need to recognize how things differ.

RustQuill94archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @SharpAnchor92

Figure it's around sixty milligrams so I'll try my standard ten milligram serving to check if it does the job. Should notice pretty quick. As I mentioned earlier, eager to find out the outcome. Really disappointing when you get all pumped waiting for the delivery and end up feeling let down πŸ˜‚

WarmHarbour28archiveMay 29

Got a hunch the quality lines up with the cost, probably just wrong labeling. Checking it while staying extra careful makes sense. Is that other package also bad?

SlowBramble67archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @LevelThistle44

Actually needles aren't something I employ. One sits around the house though. I looked it over moments ago. Correct you have a point. Markings on this one-milligram version show fifty parts unlike the hundred I believed earlier. Resting a short while before any reply seems wiser.

RustQuill94archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @WarmHarbour28

Yeah that seems correct to me the team has treated me well so far and this is probably nothing more than a tag error though the pair of packages indicate mismatched totals.

LevelThistle44archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @SlowBramble67

I've never come across any syringe that shows milligrams on it. Must be some kind of mix-up with wording, though seriously this uses the metric setup.

AmberMeadow80archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @SlowBramble67

Looking at the syringe shown in that image, it has fifty markings in total. Dividing one milliliter by those fifty gives zero point zero two milliliters for each marking. Aren't people in Europe supposed to be familiar with metric units? The calculations for peptides seem to trip up so many individuals for some reason. Back when I taught chemistry, it always bothered me to witness basic numerical mistakes happening this way.

PatientFenwick39archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @AmberMeadow80

I agree with that point. The guy is probably just tired out from his job all day and spacing out a bit with a wink. It surprises me as well. Skip those clips of folks getting quizzed on the sidewalk about simple calculations and bombing them hard. Seeing it stings.

ClearBeacon24archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @RustQuill94

Yeah it's accurate given how the stickers get made using wording they don't know and figures that are likely unfamiliar.

SlowBramble67archiveMay 30
↳ replying to @LevelThistle44

Metric measurements are standard throughout the European Union. Hey buddy apologies for the day before. Heat hit thirty two degrees with lots of moisture in the air. I operate a haulage firm and end up inside the lorry twelve to fourteen hours each day. Talking posed no problem yet fatigue had set in anyway. Noticed my replies failed to line up with the listed amounts. Checked the twenty and thirty milligram containers from separate providers earlier and the outcome surprised me greatly. The smaller one seems fuller than expected inside its glass. No more messages after shifts. Placed an order for an accurate weighing device with point zero zero one gram sensitivity roughly ten days back and it sits at the local mail spot now. I'll sacrifice one container but that causes no real trouble. I keep purchasing the name brand product and store it chilled while relying on the unofficial market version. Without that step the physician stops issuing scripts skips further lab checks and the details end up in health files.

WarmMeadow92archiveMay 30
↳ replying to @PatientFenwick39

This stuff amazes me as well. You pointed out how weak arithmetic abilities contribute. There's also mix-ups with milligrams versus milliliters, and that seems alarming. Adding to that comes heavy dependence on gadgets. A few of those tools turn out pretty absurd. Not long ago I noticed one where entering the values results in showing amounts across multiple syringe dimensions. But really the unit count doesn't change.

WarmHarbour28archiveMay 30

Bringing up every possible measurement really gets under the skin of those sasquatch types. People just create mixups and errors when they drag in pointless ways to size things. Nothing but milligrams together with milliliters works for me. What would be gained by throwing around bushels, pecks, demijohns, short tons, and hogsheads?

NorthQuill51archiveMay 30
↳ replying to @SlowBramble67

I think there's a mix-up with the markings here. This holds one milliliter total and reaches a full hundred units, so the lines sit two units from each other.

SlowBramble67archiveMay 30
↳ replying to @NorthQuill51

I see you fixed my misspelling there, genius. To me every tick stands for a single dose with 0.02 ml inside it. My view differs from yours where each tick equals two doses. Got any issues with that?

RustQuill94archiveMay 30

Still no answer after sending out a pair of notes. Got the message loud and clear from that, so I'm backing off now. Must be TR60, looks like the person overlooked the marking on it.

NorthQuill51archiveMay 30
↳ replying to @SlowBramble67

Yeah, no problem. The word unit comes up all the time when people discuss shots. With a U-100 type, each one equals 0.01 milliliters, so the 1-milliliter size holds a hundred of them rather than fifty as was stated before. Instead of getting annoyed, it might help to keep that in mind for smoother chats later on. Or just stay annoyed with me if you prefer. Either way is fine.

SlowBramble67archiveMay 30
↳ replying to @NorthQuill51

I skip the insulin needles entirely. Instead I load up a pen with a larger syringe holding three milliliters total. Half a milliliter comes out to sixty units so the numbers stay simple. I prepare the full cartridge in a single step and keep drawing from it across four weeks with no leftover air trapped inside. The steps are just twisting the knob, attaching the needle, delivering the dose, and pulling it off again, all finished in roughly fifteen seconds. This setup removes any worry about rubber bits blocking the needle or air slipping in. I find it simpler to avoid needle discussions altogether than to spend time learning details I will never apply. These substances function as basic instruments for me and nothing beyond that.

NorthQuill51archiveMay 30
↳ replying to @SlowBramble67

Not sure buddy. There were images you shared before along with certain wording. Our replies are simply to those things.

SlowBramble67archiveMay 30
↳ replying to @NorthQuill51

Right after that I mentioned feeling worn out back then and that my replies contained errors. I said sorry about those too. This note appeared right before the section you answered. It all took place the day before and that's done now. I accept I slipped up and nothing can fix the past. Going over it once more won't help either buddy. Still appreciate the details you gaveπŸ‘

NorthQuill51archiveMay 30
↳ replying to @SlowBramble67

I went ahead and revised the starting message by placing an extra remark down at the end. That stops brand new visitors from offering comparable replies as they scroll. On my part I get uneasy whenever folks misinterpret details on shots since that sort of thing carries risks.

SlowBramble67archiveMay 30

RustQuill94archiveMay 31

This marks the end, confirming the tag issue matched what I figured from the beginning.

PatientHarbour49archiveJul 1
↳ replying to @SlowBramble67

It's amazing how someone can hold such incorrect views with total assurance. People can't just glance and spot variations of fifty milligrams. That's way smaller than a gram or even half that amountβ€”more like a tiny fraction of a sand particle. Plus, the substance comes mixed with other material, making all containers appear identical regardless.

BrightSignal52archiveJul 1
↳ replying to @SlowBramble67

I'm not getting how this is supposed to work. My previous assumption was that a milliliter holds 100 units, so half a milliliter comes out to 50 units.

SlowBramble67archiveJul 1
↳ replying to @BrightSignal52

Units marked on pens work differently than those on standard syringes. Half a milliliter comes out to sixty units when measured on a pen.

SteadyTimber22archiveJul 1

This situation is overwhelming me completely. Thinking so much is causing real discomfort.

BrightSignal52archiveJul 1

Not the pens I have, they match up the same way.

SteadyLedger54archiveJul 1
↳ replying to @SlowBramble67

I suspect you might be relying on nonstandard syringes for your insulin instead of the usual ones, or maybe that pen of yours is just some faulty wonder gadget. The clip I'm sharing now isn't the one I normally direct folks toward, though I discovered it only moments ago.

SharpAnchor92archiveJul 1
↳ replying to @SlowBramble67

I figure the mix-up might stem from the commercial medication versions. Overseas multi-use preloaded pens deliver doses via sixty clicks equaling six tenths of a milliliter or sixty units. Domestic one-time injectors use a single click for five tenths milliliter amounting to fifty units. When people prepare their own pens or needles they stick to the standard concentration where each milliliter holds one hundred units. Be careful not to injure yourself.

KeenQuill60archiveJul 1
