Thinking of adding cagri in with reta

17 replies11 peopleOct 12, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

Should I add cagrilintide to retatrutide to better control food noise while on a modest deficit?

Users report that retatrutide alone often leaves food noise higher than tirzepatide, and adding low-dose cagrilintide can restore control for some without major new sides. Experiences vary widely on starting doses, titration speed, and whether fatigue or constipation appears. Several people describe moving from tirzepatide to retatrutide and then layering cagrilintide back in to manage the return of hunger signals.

What this discussion establishesWhere people disagree

Whether retatrutide is inherently weaker at food-noise suppression than tirzepatide, and how aggressively to titrate cagrilintide when sides are a concern.

Still open

Optimal long-term dose of cagri when stacked with reta, and how long reconstituted vials remain stable for low-dose users.

Nothing here is advice.

I'm on 1 mg of reta every other day because that schedule keeps the effects steady for me. I'm running a loose 400-600 calorie deficit most days but sometimes go over or eat at maintenance when I don't feel like tracking. Food noise is still pretty strong though, and I've seen a lot of positive comments about cagri helping with that. Would it make sense to add it, or should I try something else first?

I'm currently combining 7 mg tirz (tapering toward 5 mg), 5 mg reta, and 1 mg cagri. Food noise was under control at 15 mg tirz, but it returned while I was lowering the tirz dose to bring in reta. Adding the third compound brought it back under control again.

Cagri broke me out of a plateau after just a couple of weeks. Dosing and timing still need to be handled carefully though.

Yeah I've seen the stories about rough reactions, so thanks for the warning. I'm thinking of beginning at 150 mcg once a week and adjusting from there.

I began with 0.25 mg for one week, then moved to 0.5 mg for two weeks, then 0.75 mg for a week before reaching 1 mg last week.

Reta isn't the strongest option when the main goal is keeping food noise down.

What would you recommend instead for handling food noise?

Tirzepatide tends to win on food-noise control, probably because its GIP activity is more pronounced. It acts as an unbalanced agonist that leans toward the GIP receptor over GLP-1. Retatrutide delivers bigger scale losses, but many people still deal with noticeable hunger on it.

I switched completely from tirz to reta and the food noise got noticeably worse. I have some cagri on hand but haven't started it yet. I'm planning to get some tirz again to run alongside the reta at 5 mg, beginning the tirz at 2.5 mg and possibly going up to 4 mg. I've read about bad reactions with cagri and I'm hesitant because I have 10 mg vials and worry about how long it will last after mixing plus how my body will respond.

Cagri has worked really well for me. Start very slowly. I had two days of fatigue, but compared with the heart-rate and sleep issues from reta, that fatigue almost felt like a break. It only lasted those two days.

What dose did you begin with? Also, how long do you feel comfortable keeping a vial after it's mixed? I wanted 5 mg vials but ended up with 10 mg ones because of availability. I didn't realize at the time how small the effective doses can be.

First day around 0.05 mg, next day 0.1 mg, then a bit more the day after that. Fatigue showed up for two days. Since then I've been dosing roughly 0.3 mg every three or four days. I'm using 5 mg vials and expect to finish them within about 45 days. Hunger is gone and sides have stayed minimal.

I've been on cagri for a few months now. I let all the talk about sides slow my titration more than necessary. I haven't had any sides beyond mild constipation on reta, tirz, or cagri. Right now I'm at 1.25 mg cagri weekly along with 7.5 mg tirz and 4 mg reta. I notice the cagri a few hours after injecting, but the feeling fades after a couple of days, which works with my injection schedule. I'm close to my first goal weight and moving toward the next one. I wanted to try cagri so I'd know how the peptide feels. If I started again I'd push the titration harder and think my sweet spot would land between 2 mg and 3 mg. Everyone responds differently, so this is just one experience. Someone here pointed out that it's very American to keep adding things to something that's already working fine, and that comment landed with me. I have a few kits of another compound on the way that I plan to test as a possible replacement for cagri. Eventually I'm confident better options will appear.

I don't usually watch videos, but this one gave a useful introduction to eloralintide.

Cagri has definitely helped me. I do reta at 4 mg on Monday and then up to 1 mg cagri on Tuesday depending on how strong the noise is. It works well for me. Grab a single vial at the higher price, test it, check the COA, and begin low around 0.25 mg for a week or two before moving to 0.5 mg. 0.5 mg was enough for me for months. Not sure if it affects women differently than men, but that's part of testing things out. Try one vial before committing to more.

It is so German to bolt a dozen extra parts onto an engine that's already running fine just to make troubleshooting harder later.

Cagri never worked for me. I bought four single vials, tried it twice, and still have two left. I've been stuck at 160 for a long time. I just had blood work done for insurance and I'm still listed as overweight. That doesn't bother me much, but it got me thinking about breaking the stall again. I now have a couple of dose screenshots to try, and this place has been helpful for that.
