Can you share your injection schedule along with the typical high and low concentration estimates? I'm interested in seeing examples as I adjust my amount from 5 up to 7.5 and higher.
Dose vs Estimated Level
What dosing schedules and estimated peak/low medication levels do people report while adjusting tirzepatide or similar compounds?
Users describe weekly or split dosing of 2.5 mg up to 18 mg, with some stacking two compounds on different days to smooth effects over weekends. Graphs from apps show build-up to steady state after several weeks and help link levels to side effects or hunger. Most say they ultimately adjust by how they feel rather than the numbers. A few find the visuals unnecessary if results are already consistent.
What this discussion establishes- Steady state reached around 4-5 weeks with consistent weekly dosing
- Splitting or stacking doses can reduce weekend hunger spikes
- App graphs illustrate 24-hour peaks and gradual valley elevation over time
- Individual response varies widely so personal effects matter more than modeled numbers
- Some track levels closely while others stick to simple once-weekly injections
Whether graphing levels is useful or mostly unnecessary when side effects and hunger are already well managed
Nothing here is advice.
It autocorrected dosing to food haha. What's your injection timing and amount, like every 5 days at 7.5 mg, and how do the highs and lows appear in something like Shotsy, say between 5.5 and 10.
I see now that my original message had multiple errors. Reminder to myself not to write when hurrying off to the job.
I take 2.5 mg every seven days and have done so for five weeks, so steady state should be reached and Shotsy shows that too. Lowest estimate 1.7 to highest 3.5. I know the half-life is about five days but I add another compound on a different day to bridge the gap. Friday 2.5 mg and Monday 1 mg. So far that covers the weekend when overeating risk is highest and keeps things even across the week thanks to the overlapping peaks and valleys.
Figured maybe you'd had too much to drink or your glucose levels went haywire π Eight milligrams on Monday night and again Friday morning. Amounts shift based on the pharmacokinetic calculations yet roughly fifteen to twenty in my case. Can vary by half a milligram either direction without trouble.
I assumed it had to do with maximum concentrations and felt unsure about the meal part. While I enjoy seeing the nice highs and lows in medication curves through tools like that app, I stick with basic tirzepatide use and inject every seven days. I've combined it with semaglutide and now cagrilintide but skip tracking those too. Right now I take 18mg of tirzepatide each week.
Those high and low points shown in the software or the graphing tool mostly help me figure out how the medication concentrations change across days. I notice the highest points tend to occur roughly a day following an injection, and with ongoing use the minimum and maximum values rise gradually across about a month. This lets me match them up against any unwanted reactions I experience. I can input various amounts and schedules to visualize the resulting curves, which becomes handy once I identify which reactions link to certain concentrations. These particular medications last much longer in the body compared to most others, so plotting the pattern makes it clearer what's happening inside. Still, I mainly rely on how I actually feel because that's what counts. When something I'm using leads to discomfort I adjust by taking less or dividing the amount at times, and when appetite returns I go up a bit. Everyone responds so differently that what happens to me personally ends up being the key factor. The lines on screen are only a rough model instead of my true concentrations, yet they can help me decide on amounts or when to take them if I choose to inject more frequently than the standard interval.
I've experienced almost no unwanted effects while taking the medication, and my appetite reduction stays steady. Therefore tracking doses or creating charts hasn't really been required. Still, I believe others might benefit from such visuals when handling their own reactions and appetite signals.
The green line shows seven milligrams taken twice each week. Purple covers twelve milligrams once per week. Blue covers eight milligrams twice each week. Graphs like these depend entirely on the calculations plus the estimates put into them. Peak time, absorption level, time in the system, and removal speed count among the items that require estimates. One tool's numbers fail to line up with another's, yet that works out fine.
