I'm wondering if there are any downsides to mixing reta at a stronger level to cut down on how much I have to inject each time.

Taking things to the limit means it fails to dissolve at all. On top of that stronger solutions make dosing less precise since small errors when measuring volume lead to much larger errors in the actual quantity.

That concentration level does not strike me as over the top. The manufactured version comes in at thirty milligrams per milliliter. I mix my own batch so the math stays straightforward. The case with twenty five units turns out easy enough.

I usually mix stuff so the total stays below forty units because larger amounts just feel nasty mentally, like some big hot liquid area sitting inside the body fat. Not every approach fits all cases so I check typical strength levels and chances of spot reactions, using lighter mixes for hotter items, and for my own tirz it came at twenty two milligrams per milliliter which is the one I go with.

People mentioned this before so I mix the solution to a concentration level where measuring comes out exact every time. My shots so far have all stayed at 0.2 milliliters or below. Because of that I have no idea how anything bigger would feel during the process. Plus when folks discuss the markings on these needles the whole capacity of the syringe has to be included since sizes and line spacing differ across models.

To tell the truth it was obvious to everyone that I meant the usual one milliliter insulin syringe haha. I agree completely with that remark bahaha. Stabbing my own body using a needle does not bother me in the slightest yet ending up with a fluid bag beneath my skin that I created feels nasty lol.

I also feel uneasy putting in many units at once since it makes me queasy. Still I know the feeling is just mental. Those small insulin needles can trick your eyes because the real fluid volume stays tiny. One milliliter equals only a fifth of a teaspoon. It looks like a huge amount going in yet truly stays minimal. Last week I did a hundred units and kept wondering when it would finish. I once received some bigger three milliliter ones from a mixing lab and figured they were enormous like something for livestock.

I prefer the small 0.3 milliliter insulin needles and aim for doses around a tenth of a milliliter by choosing simple dilution ratios that yield easy calculations. I make labels listing the compound, how much liquid I added, the concentration, and attach them to the containers to prevent errors or mix-ups in my records. For instance something like name, volume added, strength per increment. Less liquid tends to cause less discomfort unless the material itself is harsh. If the compounds seem compatible I sometimes load two different ones into the same needle.

I prefer markings where each increment equals one unit, which means steering clear of full milliliter syringes. Half a milliliter works best for me. Others in this discussion get the idea too. Still, for anyone else reading along later, concentration levels aren't standardized at all. Thinking in terms of concentration alone doesn't help much. Rely on the points already covered in the thread along with a calculator that works backwards, which I link in my profile. Also make certain you have the actual measured amount in the container instead of whatever milligrams it claims on the label.

Sure thing. Back then I was taking the mixed form of the medication and right away I tucked those items into my research supplies area since I figured they would prove useful later on. I felt thankful for them in my head. Still I wondered what sort of person would pick them for delivering the medication. Its dilute nature meant one hundred fifty units were needed for the complete dose. From what people have shared, reta stays good longest in the refrigerator at strengths of seven point five to ten milligrams per milliliter. Really concentrated versions seem to develop static charge problems after sitting for over a month, unlike the well known issue with very weak solutions that break down much more rapidly.

Update: overlooked that the topic was reta. Earlier remarks applied to the comparable medication, which shares some similarities. Still curious if any research backs this up. Does evidence exist or are we just hearing user stories? It seems unlikely the maker would select that strength for their products if it broke down quicker without adjusting the expiration dates. I just got new 15mg containers and intend to track how long they last against earlier ones from the official source. Since that strength matches the top level they offer, I steer clear of anything stronger myself, mainly because accurate measuring matters more to me than shelf life. It will be curious to watch what occurs with approvals for larger amounts if the injection volume stays fixed at half a milliliter. That would require even stronger solutions such as forty or fifty milligrams per milliliter. I suspect they will pursue that path while claiming it helps more people.

I think this research focuses more on how peptides break down and hold up over time. It seems none of the ways mentioned for improving how long they last deal with getting the right amount. Acidity level comes up right away though. Now I'm considering buying some papers to check that. Could the pool test kind work here too? 🀣

Got myself some fresh test strips lately, yet the acidity level stayed consistent. Considered this the ultimate quality test for the cheap stuff acquired. Part of that low-grade sterile water measured around five on the scale. Went ahead and injected regardless. 😺

It does seem believable given how particles pull on each other and influence the durability of intricate compounds yet without numbers on the size of the change across strengths it's unclear whether the difference even matters. Details like that won't show up in the maker's documentation because they aren't making it for users to alter the strength on their own though maybe a lab technician experimented during quiet hours. The acidity diagrams appear noteworthy but they don't apply since hopefully no one would attempt adjusting acid levels inside these mixed powders except perhaps to recover thickened batches of similar items and the vertical scale lacks explanation while the test conditions might not match typical setups. The company also targets years of liquid shelf life whereas most of us need only a couple months. That summary of a stabilizer feels too short. A stabilizer is an ingredient blended in to hold acid balance steady. It resembles the shallow groove on a plane tray table designed to keep a cup from sliding. It fails against hard knocks but handles light taps so the liquid stays put. It's added to hold acid within a narrow zone rather than letting it vary across batches. This still leaves room for a given ingredient to preserve material through other means in which case another label would probably fit.

I figure plenty of people around here know a lot more than I do so I'm simply mentioning that I mixed one compound to 65 milligrams per milliliter and saw nothing wrong. The following container I might prepare at 30 milligrams per milliliter since that appears to be the highest level noted. Early on with the second substance my supply consisted of six milligram containers so I combined three of them by adding one milliliter of liquid each into a five milliliter container resulting in six milligrams per milliliter and drawing 0.61 milliliters.

Besides, the dosage strength doesn't really matter much because I believe both the higher and lower strength containers hold about the same quantity of the actual substance along with the bulking agent they add in. Therefore it probably isn't required to use extra bacteriostatic solution for reconstituting the larger one compared to the smaller. For instance that other compound with over five hundred milligrams still only takes three milliliters of liquid.

Anything's possible! I wouldn't bat an eye if someone preferred 30mL syringes with a laugh. This is absolutely a judgment-free space. The call is always up to the individual researchers.
