Summary

Are high weekly doses of tirzepatide like 25-60 mg being used or studied, and is it safe?

One user reports self-experimenting with 25-30 mg tirzepatide every 3-4 days for a month and plans updates, while others question the safety, note the lack of clinical data beyond 15 mg, and debate whether ongoing trials are testing higher amounts. Several participants correct claims about studies, point out AI mix-ups with kidney markers, and express concern over risks like GI issues or pancreatitis. The thread shows skepticism toward megadosing, with some defending personal experimentation and others calling the post irresponsible.

Yes, 25-60 mg of tirz per week. For anyone wondering like I was, I've been using larger amounts over the last month to check for problems, especially for people who want more but can't switch to reta or combine things. I'll post another update in a month. Happy researching everyone. My goal was 25-30 mg every 3-4 days.

CopperFenwick68archiveNov 28, 2025

Oyster, is that you?

GreenBeacon80archiveNov 28, 2025

It's funny the way they make it look like the thread starter is only looking out for everyone else.

I guess hearing about everyone else's progress could end up assisting our situation without us noticing at first. Still I wonder if the result ends up serving as a warning or brings some optimism instead.

RustPebble88archiveNov 28, 2025

Gl on the research.

I read it as possibly helping some people, including the poster himself, if it works out. He didn't tell anyone else to try it and didn't claim it was risk-free. I have no issue with it personally and hope it goes well. New trials are looking at higher doses. We all take risks. Even though my research substance is FDA approved, the way I got it isn't. Others are looking into things that aren't approved yet and seem to be doing fine. The poster isn't new to this and probably knows how his body reacts.

Good luck, get back to us with updates like 'but didn't you die?!'

I wanted to point out that such elevated amounts haven't been examined in any research and aren't viewed as harmless. Someone choosing to try this is up to them, yet I feel it's important to mention how this differs from medical applications and involves genuine dangers like digestive halt, inflammation of the pancreas, dangerously low blood sugar, and similar issues. Appreciating the post about what happened, still I hope folks stay cautious since assuming more leads to improvement or security isn't accurate.

SteadyTimber49archiveNov 30, 2025

So OP, did you die?

SharpCinder28archiveNov 30, 2025

This also brings to mind the idea of trying out a mix of different treatments, even when the choice is a peptide for growth hormone instead of that other medication.

It's impossible to tell if anyone is truly doing these things. Their personal reasons for posting remain a mystery to everyone else. I believe the mentioned person was injecting all the amounts they talked about. But the thought of someone using that quantity every week just doesn't seem realistic.

From what I hear trials on sema reach as high as 7.5 milligrams which exceeds the usual maximum by more than threefold. My impression was that tirz was also being tested at elevated levels but the only sure info covers sema.

Love those huge nutz and I'm not above 20 mg tirz every 5 days. I've done 15 mg tirz with 2 mg sema every 6 days.

SteadyQuill55archiveNov 30, 2025

Man, it's your decision in a free society, yet I'd rather skip knowing anything about the risks if it meant skipping the whole thing. Hoping everything turns out fine for you and that this doesn't turn into the way we find out about problems years later.

They have been studying 30 mg doses since 2023, just a quick reminder.

SteadyFenwick56archiveNov 30, 2025

It comes across as foolish and careless to put something like this out there, even assuming it's actually happening. That sort of reckless challenge just earns an eye roll from me.

They've been researching 30 mg doses for the last 2.5 years, but you 3 mg weirdos just stick to that.

Ok, '3 mg weirdos' did make me laugh out loud.

CopperFenwick68archiveNov 30, 2025
↳ replying to @ClearHarbour45

That's the issue with depending on the first result from an AI web search. My own check turned up nothing about the thirty milligram amount ever being examined in trials, not even the one mentioned earlier. At that point I queried a different language model to double-check.

CopperFenwick68archiveNov 30, 2025
↳ replying to @ClearHarbour45

I'm questioning if the SURPASS investigation ever covered trials at thirty milligram levels, and want a direct reference from the actual document rather than an artificial intelligence summary based on a search query. I have a feeling nothing like that turns up.

WryLedger88archiveNov 30, 2025

Yesterday I was digging into this topic using an AI chatbot. It refused to confirm that larger amounts were under examination since nothing had been released officially. I kept rewording my questions repeatedly until it admitted that bigger quantities are indeed being researched even without public info. These systems tend to hold back on details they're aware of to stay safe.

CopperFenwick68archiveNov 30, 2025
↳ replying to @WryLedger88

I looked into what the AI claimed and it refers to 10-15 milligrams as the larger amounts that stay inside FDA limits. Preliminary research gets covered too. Still I saw no references at all to any work with 30 milligrams whether early on or otherwise and nothing dating to 2023.

WryLedger88archiveNov 30, 2025

I never said 30 mg doses. I said higher than the FDA approved 15 mg dose. Maybe that's why?

CopperFenwick68archiveNov 30, 2025
↳ replying to @WryLedger88

Where exactly did you come across that detail? The original investigation.

ClearLantern81archiveNov 30, 2025
↳ replying to @ClearHarbour45

The picture is just a search engine's automated blurb and not any formal research write-up. Nothing there indicates the medication gets used at thirty milligrams for actual patients. It recaps results from trials capped at fifteen milligrams and then guesses about possible kidney changes. Those automated blurbs often scramble separate pieces pulled from random web pages. In this case it is jumbling a urine protein reading that flags kidney trouble together with a medication amount. The trials noted less protein spilling for folks who began with that reading at or above thirty milligrams per gram, but never went past fifteen milligrams each week, while early single-dose checks stayed around eight milligrams. This gives zero backing for twenty-five to sixty milligrams weekly or shots spaced every few days. The thirty milligrams mentioned in the picture pointed to the protein reading, not the medication. The system just confused a lab marker with a dosing figure, which is exactly why leaning on these quick blurbs as solid references feels unreliable right away.

ClearHarbour45archiveNov 30, 2025
↳ replying to @ClearLantern81

The machine likely mixed up that detail with how much to use. You came out ahead. I considered checking out for good yet figured you could go on pleasing me orally. Stick in the low dose now and fix some soothing herbal brew. Even so once the newer option clears regulators notice the speed they examine the older version in bigger amounts.

ClearLantern81archiveNov 30, 2025
↳ replying to @ClearHarbour45

People seem to figure that grabbing an AI screenshot about trial amounts for one medication somehow justifies doubling it for twice-weekly personal use. Treating some trial-phase quantity for a related compound as approval for extreme self-made high dosing isn't proper investigation at all. It's just sloppy sourcing thrown around without care. Everyone can handle their own choices of course, but maybe dial back the inaccurate claims around others, above all when harm might follow.

ClearLantern81archiveNov 30, 2025

The acronym refers to the ratio of albumin over creatinine found in urine. This particular assessment checks levels of those two substances within a urine specimen, allowing detection of initial harm to the kidneys. Units are milligrams. Assessments occurred initially, requiring subjects to show at least thirty milligrams per gram, which signals some albumin in urine or more, pointing to strain on the kidneys, or alternatively lower starting filtration rates. Follow-up checks happened after the course finished, around week forty or forty-two based on the specific part of the trial. Doses of five, ten, and fifteen milligrams were examined. Comparing values from start to finish permitted calculating the portion of improvement in that ratio linked to better blood sugar management and shedding pounds, versus impacts tied directly to the medication or other influences.

Don't go after her, come for me instead. It surprises you that people might take above 2.5mg during the previous year and a half the way you have. I will confess it appears I mistook 30mg for the recommended amount. Be certain that when reta gets cleared those hidden studies involving 30 or 45mg with tirz are going to come out. The same way sema ended up with three times the usual highest level to avoid falling short.

ClearHarbour45archiveNov 30, 2025
↳ replying to @ClearLantern81

Looks like you skipped over my reply where I backed down. That wasn't shared to support my point at all. I never inquired about the meaning either. I already mentioned spotting the thirty milligram study on tirz and going with that dose. Your online search talents are really something else too.

ClearHarbour45archiveNov 30, 2025
↳ replying to @ClearLantern81

I don't think the research covers sema at seven or seven point five milligrams. Where did sixty milligrams each week of tirz even come from? You're making up statements I didn't make.

There's a clear distinction between talking about actual information and this kind of outburst. If the system confused those terms, fine, we've sorted it now. However, the aggressive remarks, inappropriate jokes, and strange macho attitude don't help prove anything. Once genuine dosage information appears, I'll check it out just like the rest. For now, sticking with reality beats made-up stuff and attacks.

ClearHarbour45archiveNov 30, 2025
↳ replying to @ClearLantern81

Someone sending threats around here? This odd aggressive vibe shows up even through a screen. You caught me using that expression, but it counts as nothing more than an idiom and not harassment at all. I bet you went and filed a complaint, so nice work on that. You won't twist my remarks together with the main post to make it look like I back two weekly doses at thirty milligrams each.

ClearLantern81archiveNov 30, 2025
↳ replying to @ClearHarbour45

The thread you're backing carries a heading about taking 25-60 mg of tirz each week. You tried to support that idea with studies that don't exist, got corrected on the claim, and then jumped straight to a sexual threat. That move shows a sad breakdown rather than any real assurance. Also, well done stripping out the line where you directed me on what to swallow. Quite the bold step. It's obvious now you don't have the mental tools for any evidence-based exchange, so nothing remains worth continuing here.

CopperMarble87archiveNov 30, 2025

I'm choosing to overlook your remark since you appear unfamiliar around here. My own experience stretches beyond a year with amounts exceeding typical boundaries. Checking earlier threads might be wise before weighing in on this kind of work.

Who’s sticking up for that comment? I made a mistake saying they’re examining tirz above the usual amount, making 30mg seem reasonable. I accurately mentioned they’re researching sema at three times the standard level, yet you keep dissecting every term and research paper nonstop. Despite my apology, you’ll probably continue until late. I’ve got an attractive spouse from Italy to enjoy the night with, and I wish you a good week ahead. Haha, calling that a sexual threat... Quit wasting energy on HR reports, man.

Wishing you're not by yourself in your place 😊 When it comes to combining things I've gotten curious about GLP types that don't last as long in the body such as liraglutide along with orforglipron. Though I still haven't tried orforglipron myself.

SlowLantern99archiveNov 30, 2025

Lately the holiday drinks must have hit everyone hard because the arguments have been nonstop and way over the top. I've had it with the whole thing. Whatever's going on in the peptide talk can't explain this level of hostility so some quick anti-anxiety pills seem necessary. Without looking anything up I remember the manufacturer stayed silent on the exact higher amounts in their tests probably for a reason. After that some folks actually in the trials shared what they got including shots of the label details on the injectors and a few numbers started circulating though I no longer recall any specifics. The study page is still up with the identifier so go look there grab some meds and settle down.
