For my syringes I keep the 3 mL ones for reconstitution. I use 0.5 mL and 1 mL 31 G 8 mm syringes for injections. 25 G feels large to me. My wife would not be happy if I used a 25 G. This is for Reta.
Hi everyone. It's nearly time for me to start. Would anyone mind answering a few last-minute questions? I'm only setting up for Tirz. I also listed my shopping items below in case I missed anything. Should I use a new filter for each sterile vial? I plan to split 30 mg across two or three vials and freeze the extras so no vial is used longer than four to six weeks. Are 3 mL syringe barrels fine? How many barrels should I use per filter run? One person just pushes air through the filter at the end. The guide uses only one barrel but I'm concerned about contaminating the BAC vial even with just 0.1 mL of air from the same barrel I used for reconstitution. I'm probably overthinking it. Is there a real advantage to using two different needle lengths for filtering instead of just the longer one? The guide lists both lengths and uses four short ones plus one long one. Is it a bad idea to use a vial opener to pull out the last drops?
