How are you storing it? Ice would need freezing temperatures.
Hey everyone, I've got this 80mg vial I've been using for five weeks and it now looks like this. Is the stuff inside mold growth or ice crystals?
The vial has been kept in the fridge and a visible floater remains after time at room temperature, leading most to conclude it is not ice. Opinions split between possible contamination versus jelling from the water used, with several users advising against injection. One person reports similar jelling issues across multiple vials that resolved only after changing the reconstitution water source.
What this discussion establishesWhether the appearance is contamination, jelling, or harmless crystallization.
Still openExact cause of the floater and whether the vial would have been safe to use.
Nothing here is advice.

It's in the fridge toward the back on the top shelf. I left it out for a while and the floater is still there, so probably mold? Does this normally happen after four or five weeks? First time with an 80mg vial. I'm taking 5-7.5mg per week.
I doubt it's mold. The mold I've seen before isn't clear.
Would you still use it or just write this one off?
Not sure if it's connected, but I've had repeated jelling problems with my current batch. Tried double boxing in the crisper drawer, adding extra water, leaving vials at room temperature, and each one jelled to a different degree. Lost four vials in a row. One looked just like yours with a small bit of jell floating. Now on the fifth vial, I doubled the water again and added another compound, yet it still jelled after two days. The only remaining explanation is the water source I switched to recently. The original batch had worked fine for the first four vials.
I grow mushrooms. Anything that looks like that in a liquid culture is either mycelium or bacteria. I wouldn't inject it because it appears to be a colony of something you don't want inside you.
Have you left it out since you first posted? Ice should have melted by now. How does it look after room temperature? Mine froze once in a hotel mini fridge and stayed fine. Some say a few freeze cycles are acceptable. Not advice, but if it clears up and you believe it froze, I'd consider using it.
No change even after an hour and a half at room temperature. I'll skip this vial and take the loss. No more of the original left, but I have a different 60mg one to try tomorrow anyway. Was planning to switch soon.
