I am not sure you have seen the earlier discussion. I have brought this up several times already. I began stocking up and some people thought I was overreacting and that grey sources would stay available.

That matches what I was thinking. The change seems aimed at non approved compounding. Research items are not meant for human use anyway.

I do not think it restricts compounded versions because the two main compounds are FDA approved and come through regulated pharmacies. The separate question of whether any pharmacy should be compounding them is still open. Otherwise no compounding pharmacy could operate here at all. None of the telehealth services have announced they are leaving Alabama even though the news came out weeks ago.

It basically lets the state enforce the existing federal rules. They can target companies or providers inside the state that sell non prescription items. The state has no say over border inspections of incoming packages. They do not set what counts as approved. The new rule does not really add much power they lacked before. It comes across as political theater similar to other attempts to restrict things that never fully succeed. I am less worried about the text of the law and more concerned about the reasons it was passed.

What about the section that talks about the patient? When someone buys and uses the items on their own the risk stays with that person.

There are none. My doctor writes for my supply. We talk about grey options but cannot prescribe them and does not tell me to use them. I do not expect much change. The FDA might stop compounding of the two main compounds but grey sources are unregulated so there is little they can actually do except possibly increase interest in them.

I never claimed it would. I shared this to show how much influence these companies have with government. It may not touch you today but could later if they keep pushing. Some say grey sources will survive like marijuana has but these companies have far more money tied up in peptides than in cannabis. They even bought a peptide maker overseas. They are not investing in a cartel. The fact that people are already building multi year supplies shows they are more worried than they admit.

Most of them do that but they tell us on YouTube to get it from their compounders and to avoid untested gray market peptides. They don't mention that their compounder is just some person on messaging apps.

I know you are not calling anyone out but I have several years worth of one item and I am not concerned right now. I do expect enforcement to rise later and importing to get harder. At least I will avoid high retail costs for that time. No hypocrisy just noting that things could shift though not because of this particular law.

I have done something similar myself. I started looking into what that big company has done and how large they are. Seeing others here building supplies got me thinking and I will soon have over a decade of one item.

It is just crony capitalism and corruption. I keep thinking about that whole testing scandal and what would have happened if it had actually worked. The testing industry is huge. If someone came up with a real version of that the big labs would find a way to block it. The whole healthcare system is so corrupt that only something disruptive will fix it. Certificate of need rules show the problem clearly. Tech people might be the ones to break these corrupt industries that are tied to the ruling class. We also need to decide we are adults and the regulators are not our parents. What happened to my body my choice?

Do you ever get used to the stomach issues on that item? I am on a very low dose and still feel awful the day of and the day after the shot. It has been five weeks now. Maybe I am one of the small group that cannot handle it.

That makes sense. If someone wants to stretch the law then peptide companies not tied to any medical place could just stay away from the banned part.

It improved for me after about eight weeks. Do not increase the dose until the side effects are under control. One medication helped with the worst part the first two days and another helped with the other problem. A supplement helped with low energy. I was concerned too since I had many years worth in the freezer. I am four months in now at a moderate dose and feel good even on injection day.

Thanks that is good to hear. My doctor keeps saying the same thing give it a couple of months. I hope so. Every day after the shot I swear I will never take it again and I am only at a low dose now because the next level was too much.

I do have hoarding tendencies though they are mostly controlled and my house is fine with limits. I feel I should mention that when someone says they got the idea from my own stockpile. I planned to stop at five then eight then ten but only managed to stop at ten because I started collecting other items instead. I ended up with fifteen years of one item five of another and three of a third. I am not sure I am fully done but at least I slowed way down to small amounts every few weeks and even that is paused now because my mother has me building her supply slowly.
