Hey folks. I've been experimenting with this for seven months now. Started at three hundred thirty five pounds and now I'm forty three pounds lighter. As a guy who's five foot eleven, I do heavy lifting sessions no less than three days each week. Right now I'm in week five of twelve milligrams. Instead of weekly, I take it every six days since otherwise the day prior feels overwhelming with hunger signals. Both my scale and fitness tracker confirm I've gained roughly five pounds of muscle over this period, which makes the gradual fat reduction acceptable to me. Soon I'll begin another cycle of that other compound. My initial one was five months back, and I think doing a few rounds while shedding weight might benefit the skin aspect.

Right now my dosage sits at one milligram. I handle the shot on Friday nights. It's been three and a half weeks total. So far I've dropped around five pounds along with an inch and a half from my waist. This coming Friday I intend to raise it to two milligrams. The hunger control felt weaker this week than the prior two, yet the scale keeps moving lower.
Right now my weekly reta amount sits at 2mg. I began with 1mg and kept that up for a couple of weeks. Week ten is where I am at present. Everything feels really good! The side effects stay pretty low except for occasional skin troubles.
I kicked things off with half a milligram and kept that going for fourteen days, then bumped it to a full milligram which lasted another fourteen days, and just reached one and a half. Down the line I figure on settling somewhere in the three to four milligram zone.
I started out on half a milligram then moved up to one before reaching two. Each strength gets a full thirty days from me. Now I'm getting ready to step up further to three.

I also push doses faster than most because sema never caused me trouble even at the top level so I reached 4mg in short order. Did reta produce any effects for you?
It's curious seeing so many individuals administer Tirz or Reta twice or three times throughout the week. I personally handle Sema each Monday and Reta each Thursday.
I began with ten milligrams per week not long ago. My dose increases have been ongoing from June onward. A month back I commenced lowering the amount of one to test whether the remaining one by itself can manage my urges around eating. Truthfully though I have no issue continuing with both of them indefinitely. This is the initial occasion in my existence where I feel calm regarding eating.

Same here! After using 12.5 mg Tirz I started Reta at zero and built up to 8 mg over eight weeks. Reta is fantastic!
During the first three weeks I stayed at one milligram then moved up to one and a half in the fourth week. Right now the weight has been coming off at a steady one and a half to two pounds every seven days.
I've completed three weeks at the two milligram amount and now entering the fourth. Dropped eleven pounds during the initial pair of weeks followed by two more in the third. Thinking about moving to four milligrams on my next dosing day which is Saturday. Cravings for food have quieted down though I'm also sticking closely to proper meals. Hunger is present yet I could easily skip a meal without issue. The third phase study maintained the amount for four weeks prior to any increase. From what I've seen by the fourth week the full impact or stable level of two milligrams should be reached. Is it better to finish the entire four weeks here? Curious what others think. Really looking forward to stronger results on the scale but willing to wait as well.

I began with Tirz at three milligrams each week. Then my doctor switched me over to Reta starting at four milligrams weekly. I've increased that to six milligrams now. After seeing an earlier message from you, I've decided to include two milligrams of Tirz again beginning this week. My progress with losing weight stopped right after changing to Reta, though the season might have played a part.

Cool! I should mention too that I usually skip meals beginning Sunday night and ending Tuesday night whenever my weight loss stops advancing. Yet pairing both of them together with the fasting routine really burns off the excess weight.

True though it was only slight for me. The initial eight milligram shot brought on some issues with my bowels and a tendency to retch but everything cleared within two days and no further problems appeared afterward.
Started using a glp1 for the first time and chose to ramp up slowly in order to minimize possible reactions. So far nothing negative has appeared. Doses went like this: half a milligram during the opening fortnight, three quarters during the next pair of weeks, one milligram at the five week mark, one and a half at six weeks, reaching two at seven weeks. Keeping the amount there now that pounds are dropping and everything feels fine.
I've noticed from various accounts that this compound often produces results at amounts below what the studies used. Perhaps the difference comes from many participants here beginning at lower body weights than those in the research groups. A heavier starter around three hundred fifty pounds might need nine to twelve milligrams to see changes due to overall size while someone near two hundred could get comparable outcomes from just two to four. At even lower starting weights like one hundred fifty the larger quantities probably wouldn't be necessary. This thought struck me after reading several reports and since I'm fairly new I could easily have the wrong idea.
About a year and a half back I used this medication once every seven days across roughly five months. That helped me drop around fourteen kilograms overall. I increased the amount bit by bit beginning at half a milligram until I reached two point five, which stayed my regular level for most of the period. Every so often I tried three milligrams yet that left me miserable so the next time I returned to the lower level. I tested dividing the amount into two separate doses across the week and also kept everything in one dose. One weekly injection suited me better overall. A single dose each week seemed to produce stronger effects.

My physician who's an authority on these treatments explained that folks carrying extra pounds tend to produce way less of this hormone in their bodies than regular gym rats. That means bigger amounts end up being necessary for them.
I'm thirty three weeks in and just raised my weekly dose to 10 mg. Pairing it with 1 mg of another agent helps cut down on hunger pangs and food thoughts even more. I do the primary dose midweek and the add-on late in the week to get through the weekend easier. Weight comes off slowly for me, about half a pound a week typically, and I've got 45-50 more to drop. The add-on looks harder to find from nearby storage these days, making me eye the substitute instead.
Started with 2 milligrams each week, divided between Monday and Thursday in the morning, and kept that up for two weeks. Then went up to 4 milligrams weekly with the same division. Planning to stick with that for four weeks because that's the point where the leftover levels even out. Still undecided between moving to 6 or 8 milligrams next. Definitely feeling less hunger and no more constant thoughts about eating. Losing around two pounds weekly so far, though I could probably consume enough to stop that if I chose to or skipped exercise. Hoping the upcoming increase brings additional pounds off without needing to adjust anything else.
Got going with this today at one milligram. Another dose of the same size is lined up for next Thursday. That works out to one milligram each week across the first two weeks. After those it moves up to two milligrams weekly for four weeks to finish off the starting trial bottle. From there things stay open.
I began my weight loss path with those GLP medications back in January 2025 on a mixed version since I hadn't heard about the other option yet. I weighed 215 pounds at the start as a guy who's 5 foot 9 and 58 years old. After a full year I hit my goal at 165 pounds. Along the way I picked up knowledge about the alternative sources and ended up stocking quite a bit of the original med. The downside though is that plenty of what came off turned out to be muscle instead of fat. Not long ago I picked up some of the newer compound to test it out and now I wonder how things might have turned out if I'd started using that one earlier instead.

@woundcarping which program are you on?
I've recently begun a 1mg intake twice each week. Updates on any effects will follow.
My current schedule has me using 5.5 milligrams of reta on a repeating three-day pattern along with 1.25 milligrams of cagri at the same spacing. This approach produces a steady daily reduction near 0.23 pounds, which adds up to 80 pounds lost since July and leaves me at a BMI of 27.5. From the highest point back in 2020 the total drop now stands at 147 pounds. Working out the weekly reta figure starts with dividing 5.5 by three then multiplying by seven to reach 12.8 milligrams, yet adjusting for vials that probably hold 30 milligrams rather than 24 pushes the real weekly intake to 16 milligrams. I note the numbers each day and raise the amounts only when cravings for sweets reappear and the downward trend on the scale flattens. Now that both substances sit at their upper limits I plan to ease the doses lower across one month until reaching the lowest level I can tolerate without noticeable rebound, hold there for another month, then slowly raise them again to the smallest amount that still delivers results.
First two months I began with 2mg once weekly. Months three to six I raised it to 4mg. Then months seven to nine I dropped back to 2mg. Right now I'm using 1mg as my maintenance dose. I've lost 40 pounds and hit my target weight.

Wrapped up four weeks on the two milligram dose and dropped sixteen point eight pounds. Hunger signals are gone yet macros stay manageable. Considered bumping to four milligrams but the lower level felt fine so kept it. Started out at two hundred nine pounds aiming for the one seventies. Also wondered how my build compares to those first trial folks. Probably would fade away on stronger amounts.
I switched from my previous 15mg dose of Tirz by slowly lowering it across four weeks: 12.5 then 10, followed by 6 and 3 before stopping entirely. With Reta I began at 1mg and stepped up through 2mg, 3mg to reach 4mg. For the current week I intend to hold at that 4mg level of Reta while adding half a milligram of Cargi around the middle and observe the results. Up to now I have dropped five pounds during the month once the plateau from Tirz ended. I will raise the amount only should progress stop again. Just to note, my starting weight was 295 back in November 2024 at the beginning with Tirz and I am at 216 pounds now with a target of 190, which feels within reach.
This marks week two for me with reta. I gave myself the 2mg shot earlier. Appetite dropped within two days of the first 1mg, so meals satisfied me quicker, though the effect began fading by day five. After today's dose, half a tiny pasta serving already left me stuffed. I even had to push myself to finish some bread and deli meat. Aside from that, everything feels fine. My partner received his second shot today as well. He noticed nothing different and reports no nausea. His appetite stays the same, so he could easily handle portions for two. I appear to be reacting strongly to reta and CU. CU produces no irritation whatsoever for me.
I've reached month three at this point and I'm administering three milligrams with three days between each dose.

I split one milligram over the week into two early doses of half a milligram on Monday and Thursday.

At 52 years old with a starting weight of 210 pounds at my height, I've reached the fifth week on this 2mg dose. What signs showed you that muscle was disappearing? Even though I'm careful to avoid shedding muscle, my build isn't particularly athletic since I never lifted weights for sport. Instead, my strength comes from years spent doing manual labor like loading trucks and setting up or breaking down events. My meals focus on plenty of protein while keeping carbs low, using natural ingredients along with shakes. Each day I take a walk, practice yoga when I wake up, and follow physical therapy exercises for my legs. I wouldn't mind adding more weight training if it helps. In my yoga sessions I often do movements like pressing up and holding poses that make my muscles tire. For everyone here, what methods work to notice small amounts of muscle decrease over time?
My dose comes in at half a milligram once every five days. That works out near point seven milligrams across a week though half life factors keep it from lining up exactly. Thirty six year old guy here I dropped from two hundred eighteen pounds to two hundred three after a month. Body fat went from twenty six percent down to twenty three.
I started with a couple of weeks at two milligrams each week. Right now I'm taking four milligrams weekly, divided into two milligrams every Monday and Thursday. I intend to keep this schedule going for a total of four weeks before moving up to six milligrams for another four weeks and eventually eight.
↳ replying to @WarmQuill73
It's tricky to spot because the muscle decrease happens gradually without obvious signs. I didn't start out particularly strong, just had normal power from doing manual labor. Now after twelve months, I notice weakness during my job tasks, and my leg muscles tire fast when hauling loads upstairs. Also, my upper body power and overall muscle have reduced noticeably. Looking back, I should have decreased how fast I shed pounds each month since at first I was losing multiple pounds weekly.
I've reached month four using Reta, and right now my weekly amount sits at 3.5. Something closer to 4 or 4.5 feels like it might work better. The current vial is nearly empty, so my final injection from it will be 4. If that falls short I'll step up to 4.5. A couple weeks back I tried 5 and found it excessive. Adjusting to this takes time and trial. Over roughly two weeks I switched from every other day to a single weekly dose, which forced me to change my entire routine.
↳ replying to @WarmSparrow57
Yeah that adds up to four point two each week across the month. From what I've seen anything past one pound weekly probably means muscle instead. My plan is to stay at the two milligram level for four more weeks before lowering the dose.

I'm at 3 mg.
I've started at five milligrams and plan to bump it up to six this coming week. I do my shots once every six days while hitting the gym four or five times weekly. So far I've shed sixty three pounds from my initial two hundred seventy down to two hundred seven now. My target is one hundred ninety to hit a normal body mass index range. On top of that I'm taking one point five milligrams of cagrilintide each week to help with the hunger signals.
Got going with this back on the twenty ninth of December twenty twenty five. My size isn't heavy yet the aim is bettering metabolic function across the board. At five foot ten and one forty pounds that one point five milligram weekly portion suits me fine.
I'm taking 2.5 milligrams each week right now. I increased the amount gradually starting from half a milligram, then three quarters, then one, adding more every seven days. Not many others follow this pattern and I don't claim it's superior or anything, it just happened to be my approach. So far I've dropped fifteen pounds which feels fantastic! Aiming for two hundred pounds total. Began around two hundred thirty two and this morning I weighed two hundred seventeen upon waking. Side effects only hit me one time, right after that initial two point five milligram injection, and they went away after twenty four hours.
Began treatment back on the twentieth of January dosing one milligram on a five-day cycle. Dropped four pounds up to now and intend to remain at this amount since only a little remains to shed. Each day I move from feeling hungry then satisfied quickly followed by dislikes toward foods which shows the compound is active yet this differs from my spouse on the other medication who hardly consumes anything and mostly rests. I enjoy keeping regular routines far more with this one.
My dose sits at four milligrams right now though I could possibly raise it a bit to four point five.
I'm remaining at the lower dose of point five milligrams and plan to raise it to one milligram after roughly two weeks.
I've been on this for six weeks and dropped seventeen pounds already. I took the one milligram amount the first month and switched to two milligrams the past couple weeks. Planning to stay at two for another fortnight before going up to three. Only problem so far is lousy rest, and that worries me if the amount increases.
Messed up my injection earlier this week after losing focus during the process so I probably ended up with five milligrams instead of three and now feel terrible.
I'm taking 5 milligrams of Tirz every five days right now, which works out to roughly seven milligrams each week. I'm planning to move across to Reta instead. My idea is to lower the Tirz amount down to four milligrams while starting with half a milligram of the new one. Then, in about two weeks, I'll reduce Tirz further to three milligrams and increase the Reta to one milligram. After that I'll check how things are going and adjust accordingly. Does anyone notice any issues with how I'm approaching this switch?
