Final Verdict - Split Dose?

5 replies6 peopleMay 15, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

Does splitting reta doses improve fat loss or reduce sides compared to weekly dosing based on long-term user experience?

Users report mixed results with no clear winner. Some find weekly dosing more stable for appetite and weight loss while others prefer splits for fewer peaks, steadier levels at moderate doses, and better tolerability. Total weight loss of 55 lb was noted by one long-term splitter with minimal sides. Personal responses vary widely and no studies were shared.

I'm hoping to hear from people whose RS has used reta for a long time and has tried both weekly and split schedules on how well each works. Studies or other data are welcome but I'm mainly after personal reports. Did splitting change your fat loss results or not?

The area under the curve stays the same either way. Splitting might let someone go higher with smaller peaks and fewer sides. It could also keep appetite control steadier by raising the low points without needing a bigger total dose. There's no real advantage either way in practice. I did weekly for three weeks then switched to split for the next eighteen. I've lost 55 lb overall with no real side issues and things are going fine.

I've tried both split and weekly. Weekly feels much steadier for me with more even weight loss and appetite control. That surprised me because I expected the opposite. Splitting gave me bigger ups and downs and weaker results overall. It could be just my experience but I'm not going back to splitting.

For me a daily split removed the peaks so things stay level at 4 mg with no sides left. I can stick to my 2000 calories but still have to watch late-night cravings.

I only started splitting my reta dose this past week after four months on it. I had moved up to 5 mg a few weeks earlier because 4 mg had stopped causing any sides. After being sick for around ten days I split the dose Monday night and took the rest this morning. It will take a few weeks to see any difference in fat loss but so far I have no sides. I'll update once I know how it's working.

I stayed on one dose a week for nine weeks and went up to 4 mg but only made it two weeks at that level. The main effects and sides were too much. Since then I've been splitting every three to three and a half days and I'm satisfied with how it's going.
