4th Week on Reta

Summary

When to increase retatrutide dose after 4 weeks if still losing weight but hunger is returning?

The original poster lost 20 lbs in 4 weeks starting at 2 mg from a high baseline weight after prior natural loss, and is now noticing hunger return while still active and eating well. Most replies advise staying at the current dose as long as weight loss continues to minimize side effects, with titration triggered by a stall of several weeks or persistent hunger. Some note rapid escalation can produce more total loss per study data but increases sides, while others stress that very heavy individuals will likely need higher doses eventually for sustained results. A few suggest modest weekly steps like 3 mg before 4 mg rather than jumping.

I've shed twenty pounds through regular workouts and balanced nutrition. Strong hunger sensations are appearing now and then. The starting week felt really intense, and I expected similar effects to continue onward. Considering an increase in dosage?

PatientAlder89archiveMar 25

Losing twenty pounds over a month strikes me as pretty substantial. Which amount of it are you currently using? As long as the weight keeps dropping I see no reason to raise the level.

WarmMeadow13archiveMar 25

My dose sits at two milligrams right now. I keep up solid meals and regular exercise too. My days stay pretty energetic overall. Things feel a touch simpler after beginning at three hundred eighty five. Before starting here I had already dropped fifty five pounds through ordinary effort alone.

What an excellent drop so far! While the numbers keep moving down I would hold at this level since it brings fewer unwanted reactions πŸ™‚

WarmMeadow13archiveMar 25

I'm wondering about the right moment to slowly raise my dosage.

By the end of four weeks things felt different to me than they had after two. Weight loss continued at around two pounds each week though and I took six milligrams last Friday. Appetite control really stands out with this dose. My spouse disagrees yet she keeps shedding pounds too. People vary I suppose.

Thinking about heading straight to four. Wondering if there's any need to remain at three for a full week first.

That's not how it went for us. We took four doses at five milligrams followed by one more at that level before moving straight up to six. Seven days at the lower strength produced no effect at all so I decided to try the next step up. Friday's weighing session will show whether six is doing anything and it seems like it probably is.

The phase two trial results for this compound show that increasing the dose quickly leads to more fat reduction. Taking it slow reduces unwanted reactions. Those who began at a higher amount and kept stepping up shed more body mass. When the main aim is dropping pounds and reactions stay manageable, stepping up fast by two milligrams monthly works best based on what the trial found. But if reactions become problematic, stepping up slowly by one milligram each month works better. How much someone can handle determines how fast to go. Reactions bothered me enough that I only added half a milligram monthly. It took eight months before I reached four milligrams. Because of going slow I will drop fewer pounds overall. Still I made it without going crazy or stopping.

I kept going strong until my shedding slowed down naturally after solid results.

QuietLantern79archiveMar 26

Impressive results! I figure plenty came from retained fluid and puffiness. In my experience when loss happened that fast I upped my food intake a bit to look after muscle hair and gallbladder.

CopperSignal27archiveMar 26

Beginning from 385 pounds means quite a distance ahead, so full strength levels will probably be necessary at some point. The 12mg level seems right to me for optimal fat reduction, sustaining results, and especially sustained wellness. Dropping 20 pounds across 4 weeks moves pretty quickly. Had the scale stayed put before starting this? Having already dropped 55 pounds earlier, if things had stabilized, maybe half of that recent loss was just water weight instead of actual fat. Readings in coming weeks are likely to indicate a reduced but truer rate of change. Shedding more than 2kg each week just does not last long for anybody, except perhaps when starting very large, consuming minimal food, and staying quite busy. Right now there is no need to step up quickly unless hunger becomes bothersome, though I would plan on moving toward bigger amounts over time rather than staying small. Others here tend to recommend keeping everything as minimal as can be managed, yet that does not seem suitable when dealing with major weight issues, provided unwanted effects stay away.

PlainQuill53archiveMar 26

I would stick with the current amount for some time. As long as the weight keeps dropping I see no need to raise the dose. It's better to stretch out the increases as much as possible until hitting the highest level or dealing with bad reactions. Should the progress stop for over three weeks I might think about going up provided the appetite stays under control. After making an increase I'd wait around a month before thinking about another one. That's roughly how long it needs for the amounts to even out and check if things are going right.

Plenty of useful suggestions here already. Side effects have troubled me too just like with that other user. The 2mg dose worked really well so I increased it to 3mg and felt good about the choice. I remained on 3mg for five weeks prior to trying 4mg yet this awful burned-skin sensation stayed with me during the recent fortnight on the higher amount. At 4mg it seems overwhelmingly powerful possibly more than needed though my weight keeps dropping by 2.2 pounds each week. That detailed reply from another member makes sense to consider carefully. My starting weight was 261 pounds meaning I don't need to drop as much as some folks and I'm aiming to find the right balance between results and unwanted reactions.

Yeah I see it the same way. Stick with the routine right up to the point where nothing responds anymore. When the target involves that empty sensation go all out with it. Let the numbers on the scale steer the whole thing.

WarmMeadow13archiveMar 26

I'm positive a big chunk of the difference came from fluid retention.

CopperSignal27archiveMar 26

Thinking about raising the amount, the main questions are whether troublesome reactions are happening and whether appetite is still an issue or if controlling intake feels manageable. When reactions aren't present but hunger remains, going up makes sense. When reactions occur without much hunger, holding steady is better. Dealing with both reactions and hunger at once can be frustrating with no straightforward fixes; I dealt with something like that for about twelve months on my previous treatment until I came across other peptide sources, and trying out tinier amounts more often helped some. Opting for smaller steps than usual when raising is feasible too, though results come gradually and unwanted effects tend to stay milder. The usual step sizes suggested for certain newer options seem sensible, while those for the earlier one seem rushed and not well thought out.

This is really neat. I kept a copy of the image. Appreciate it.
