I got diagnosed with low vitamin D. They put me on a high weekly dose of D3 for several months to bring levels back up. It was cheap. After that I switched to a daily multivitamin for men plus a D3 gel cap twice a week, which kept my levels in the normal range. The high dose is meant to be weekly only. I accidentally took it every day for a week and it left me feeling very confused for days. Don't repeat that mistake.
Hello everyone, hope this is the right spot, sorry if not as this is my first post. I have a long list of health complaints. I'm 48 and male, not doing great physically after years of neglecting myself following a wild youth. I've had type 2 diabetes for about 15 years but mostly ignored managing it except for a few short tries. Now I'm trying to get things in order with reta, TRT, doctor visits, blood tests, diet and so on. I've been on a big stack of supplements for a year including magnesium, iron, vitamin D with B and K2, omega 3 and others, but never noticed any difference. My D3+K2 product has 4000iu of D. A basic home test shows I'm very low on vitamin D even so. I don't get much sun. I'm calling the doctor tomorrow to ask for proper tests. Has anyone here been low on vitamin D? What did it do to you and how was it handled? Especially curious what improved afterward.
