For weights I rely on Hevy Overall I handle all my tracking inside the Google Health app because I have a Pixel Watch It pulls in every weights session logged through Hevy

I have been on Boostcamp for several years now and would definitely suggest it

I rely on my workout+ I have used it for years Not sure how it runs on Android

Garmin Connect paired with my Garmin watch handles more than enough by automatically logging activities and heart rate You can add other details such as weight but my scale app already covers that well I have kept Strava for a few years yet since the Garmin app logs my circuits with enough detail I am sticking with Connect I believe you can also push the watch data over to Google Health or the matching app from Samsung Xiaomi and similar brands

Liftosaur is another choice worth checking It offers more customization if that matters to you and the developer stays pretty active on the liftosaur subreddit It also gives flexible monthly yearly or lifetime options I have been enjoying it on iOS so far

I cannot say which one is the best I tried several and settled on Hevy because it is simple and does not keep charging for extras My son and grandson both use it too so we can follow each others progress

I use Lyfta and I really like it It stays simple and covers every workout you can think of It helps track which muscles still need rest and which are ready again The premium option is affordable too I tried quite a few others but this one fits what I value most in an app

I have used Macrofactor for several years now to log food macros They recently added a workout app that works pretty well for me

I just stick with the Apple fitness app It covers a variety of workouts well enough for me I pair it with Athlytic paid version to monitor recovery

I enjoy the Peloton app They offer a free version and it is not limited to bike work There are plenty of different workouts to try and it runs on Android

I tried the RP Hypertrophy app for a year It was decent but I did not feel it was worth the cost I recorded one of the workouts I liked and fed it to chat gpt so it could carry over all my numbers I have been doing that for six months now and honestly cannot complain much I just open a note pad on my phone to log reps and weights then screenshot it and send it to gpt so it keeps track of everything

I do not know what gear you have or exactly what you want but Stronger by the day was made by Meg squats a former powerlifter She comes across as relatable and fairly straightforward

You do not really need an app for that Head to YouTube and browse the countless workout videos Plenty of good ones show proper technique and which muscle groups to hit

WarmCompass27archiveJul 10

I have been on the myoadapt app for the past few months doing hypertrophy training It is very customizable You can factor in your weight injuries sleep quality training space and how long you want each session to last It can also increase weekly volume on muscle groups you choose If you like low volume training you might want to skip this one

I used Fitbod for a while and liked it quite a bit I recently started back in the gym and switched to Hevy this time around but I only use the apps to track I create my own workouts Both let you build custom routines

I am not sure what I expected but this thread showed me how out of touch I am I have not heard of any of these apps or creators I have nothing useful to add yet I feel motivated to move more and try something different It is never too late Thanks for the inspiration

I am right there with you on not recognizing half of these apps or creators but it did help me learn more

Seems like influencers in the fitness world drop a fresh workout program app almost constantly. Plenty of them overlap a lot since they follow the same basic format. The reason I subscribe to mine boils down to simple progress logging without needing to organize sessions myself. Thinking it over now, an artificial intelligence handling all the records could cut my expenses quite a bit. On top of that, extra fees for standard movement guides that lack real detail are common in these platforms.
