Solid question. I don't have an answer but I'm curious what others think.
Many here, myself included, were once at a much higher body fat level and then dropped a lot of weight. I sit around 12 percent now after an extended diet. What still nags at me is fat cell memory. The idea is that dieting mostly empties and shrinks the cells without eliminating most of them, so they remain ready to refill quickly when calories rise again. It reminds me of how muscle glycogen rebounds after depletion. Are there any peptides, drugs, or approaches short of liposuction or cryotherapy that actually lower the total number of fat cells?
