How long have you been using Peptides? Starting vs Current Stack?

Summary

How long have people been using peptides and what were their starting versus current stacks?

Users describe timelines from a few months to over two years, most beginning with a GLP-1 like Reta or Tirz for weight loss and later layering mitochondrial compounds, copper peptides, or growth hormone secretagogues. Reported outcomes include 13-40 lb losses, reduced inflammation, better sleep, or appetite changes, with some stopping items that caused fatigue, skin flares, or nausea. Stacks evolve through trial cycles and breaks, and several mention planning maintenance or new additions once goals are met.

What this discussion establishesWhere people disagree

Opinions differ on MOTS-C (some liked the energy, others saw no benefit or stopped) and on Cagri (one user had severe nausea and avoids it, another is testing low doses carefully).

Still open

Optimal long-term maintenance doses and whether mitochondrial or copper peptides provide lasting benefits once weight goals are reached.

Nothing here is advice.

Wondering how long others here have been on peptides and what they began with versus what they use now. I've only been going for about three months. Began with Reta, added Mots-C next, then 5 amino and KLOW. Still on all of them except 5 amino because it left me tired, though SS31 is arriving soon. Also planning to dose BPC157, TB4, and KPV more often along with the copper peptide. Already down 25 lbs with noticeably less inflammation.

I mentioned this in another thread about building stacks. Started in March with Reta, added KLOW the next month. Completed two nine-week KLOW cycles with a month off in between and am now two weeks into the current break. Began CJC/Ipa at some point but stopped after bloodwork showed a Z-score lower than I wanted. Switched to GH in June. Tried MOTS for two weeks about a month ago but switched to SS-31 and NAD+ and began one of the mitochondrial protocols two weeks ago.

Been on Tirz for six months and just added Cagri.

Began in August 2025 with Sema. Tried a very low dose of Cag once in December and won't repeat it. Moved to Tirz in January. Added GHK-Cu in mid-February and Survo in May. Currently 4.4 pounds from goal. Once maintenance is figured out I want to try 5Amino, NA Epitalon, and ARA 290.

Just curious, if you don't mind sharing, what happened with Cag? I took my first dose yesterday afternoon and haven't noticed anything yet.

Don't mind sharing. Not sure it was the Cagri but I linked the two events so it's now a hard no for me. Injected a tiny 0.125 mg dose the day we arrived at my mother-in-law's for our usual month-long stay. Felt fine all day and slept well. Woke up queasy and soon couldn't move more than a step from the toilet, with the sink handy for throwing up at the same time. It felt like trying to pat your head and rub your stomach at once, only miserable. I don't know if the Cagri caused it but the association stuck, so the four 10 mg vials in my freezer just sit there unused.

That sounds rough, especially while away from home. I'll be cautious when increasing the dose going forward. Cagri appears much stronger than Tirz.

Eli Lilly recently released a study showing that combining Tirz with eloralintide produced weight-loss results comparable to bariatric surgery.

Started Reta at the end of April and am down 40 pounds. Current stack is 6 mg reta plus 1 mg elora midweek, finishing an eight-week 5A cycle that I liked, just ended a Mots-C cycle that I didn't like, and beginning a CJC/Ipa cycle that has already improved sleep. Past trials: GHK-Cu triggered eczema flares so I stopped it, NAD+ gave good energy the first week then caused injection-site reactions and odd head rushes, sermorelin produced nothing noticeable, and KPV didn't help my occasional eczema. Next up are ARA290 and possibly ATX304.

Began with Tirz just over two years ago. Tried SS31, Mots-c, Nad+, Tesofensine, Lipo-c with B12, and glutathione afterward. None gave dramatic effects, though there may have been subtle benefits. I had no obvious issues to fix besides extra weight and strong appetite. Now back to Tirz alone. Still enjoy food but no longer obsessed with it, and no longer overweight at 23.6 BMI.

Gemini suggested that in theory SS-31 and MOTS-c would have been protecting vision and hearing while guarding against tinnitus, since eyes and ears are major mitochondrial energy users. Glutathione would fit the same pattern by supplying extra antioxidant support to those high-demand tissues. A doctor on TV noted that eyes and ears decline faster than the rest of the body because of mitochondrial problems, so I ran that idea by Gemini.

Started reta on the first Monday of the year at 0.5 mg and worked up to 7 mg by August. Now tapering reta so I can add tirz and find a combination that keeps side effects and food noise low while maintaining appetite control. Added GHK-CU in April at 3 mg daily in the last cycle. Planning to stack wolverine once GHK Basic and SS-31 arrive, and probably add some MOTS-C as well. CJC/IPA is also coming but I'll wait until next year to introduce it. Might try semax/selank singles first to test before buying a full kit. Trying not to add too many things at once, though my ADD sometimes wins.

Began a weight management routine for my research subject back in late July incorporating physical activity along with several common supplements such as a muscle recovery powder fish based oil daily vitamin tablet cartilage support items and another mobility formula. The final pair will stop once stocks run low. Late August brought in one more substance early September the next mid month another and end of September an injectable fat burner needing a big single dose. Not pursuing anything new right now though considering possibilities like a nerve peptide platelet rich material and certain anabolic compounds. Since the late August addition the subject has lost roughly thirteen pounds built noticeable power during sessions and feels a bit more refreshed upon waking.

Started reta nine weeks ago and have seen good results. Considering KLOW for persistent gut issues. Looking at other options but not in any rush.

Both MOTS-C and CJC/Ipa increased my appetite, which may be worth keeping in mind if appetite suppression remains a priority.

Started on Tirz from the pharmacy then switched to Reta and cagri after a six-month stall at 15 mg Tirz. Now using 7.5 mg Tirz, 7 mg Reta, and 1 mg cagri.

By the time I add those I should already be on tirz and can adjust the doses as needed.

Began with Reta and built up to 8 mg, then added Klow for two months on and one month off, added AHK during the off month, introduced Mots-C at 1 mg per day, started the SS-31 protocol with SS-31/NAD+/MOTSC/5-AMINO and am still in the second week, tried semax/selank as a nasal spray, and tested a single pin of cagri. The list keeps growing. Started Reta last December and have been adding more items gradually.
