Summary

How long does insomnia from reta last and what can help with it?

Participants describe ongoing sleep trouble on reta, including early waking with sudden alertness, that one person saw largely resolve after six weeks. Suggestions include lowering the dose, stopping use, waiting it out, shifting bedtime later, or adding another compound taken in the evening. Several note that standard aids like melatonin provide little relief.

I'm wondering how long the sleeplessness from reta is supposed to go on. It's getting really hard since I get zero rest. Adding tesamorelin hasn't changed anything and even melatonin does nothing. Any ideas on what else to try?

For me the sleep problems mostly went away after about six weeks, though I was also taking Benadryl along with melatonin at the time. These days I'm on sermorelin and epithalon instead. Basically you can quit, cut the amount, or just keep going until it passes.

I get what you mean. I rest fine until around 11:30 or 2 and then that's the end of it.

Normally I wake up near 5, but with reta it's been right around 3:30 every time. My mind just switches on right away without any grogginess. Sometimes I can shut it down and fall back asleep by 4 or 4:30, but other times I give up and get up. That's usually when I end up writing most of my replies here.

Rest is hard to come by while on reta. You might try easing back on the amount and adding some Cargi. A lot of people use it in the evening because it puts them right to sleep. Hope it gets better.

Update from last night: I kept waking up and rolling around, thinking it was already 3 in the morning. When I finally checked the time expecting it to be just before my alarm, it was only 3:23. It took maybe twenty minutes to drift off again, but I did get a bit more rest before the 5 a.m. alarm. So I'm in the same spot as you, OP. I normally go to bed around 9 or 10, so maybe shifting that to 11 could help the night without cutting into my morning workout.
