The side effects usually ease after a while. If the current amount is still too much, drop it further to 1 mg or even 0.75 mg for a couple of weeks. Any peptide that lowers hunger will come with some side effects.
Started tirzepatide a month ago and it has been very effective, though I dropped from the usual starting amount down to 1.25 mg by week three because I was having trouble eating enough to keep my energy up. The mental quieting around food is excellent and helps me choose healthy options while cutting impulsive binges, but the slowed stomach emptying leaves me with a knotted feeling for two or three days after each shot even at the lower dose. I still want to drop about five more kilograms before switching to maintenance, yet staying on tirzepatide feels like more than I need given the discomfort. Wondering if other peptides exist that mainly address food noise.
