Reta dosage per week

8 replies6 peopleMay 10, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

How should I adjust Reta dosing and frequency after 6 weeks at 2 mg when effects seem to fade during an aggressive cut?

The original poster has been on 2 mg weekly for six weeks and now feels the effects diminishing while planning to drop from 15 % to 12 % body fat in one month. Most replies advise raising the dose rather than shortening the interval, with several suggesting 3 mg or 4 mg once per week after the body has had time to reach steady state. One user reports a clear difference moving from 2 mg to 3 mg and prefers staying there before trying 4 mg. Another notes that four weeks on the same dose is typically needed before increasing.

I started Reta six weeks ago at 2 mg as my first dose. This week it feels like the effects are dropping off and my body is adapting, so I’m considering moving up to 4 mg. I’m also beginning an aggressive cut tomorrow because of an important meeting in a month; I’m at 15 % body fat and want to reach 12 %. I’ve been injecting every Tuesday night and am now thinking about switching to 2 mg every five days. What do you think?

Are you choosing between 2 mg every five days and 4 mg every seven days? After six weeks at 2 mg you can safely move to 3 mg or 4 mg. I would simply raise the dose and keep the weekly schedule rather than stay at the same amount more often, especially if you want to increase the overall effect.

Every five days is too hard for me to track. You could try 2 mg every 3.5 days instead. That would double your current weekly total, keep levels steadier, and still be simple to remember.

I prefer once a week, but any schedule is fine as long as you stay under the maximum recommended amount. You can check GLP1Plotter to see how the levels would look. Do whatever gives you the best results with the fewest sides. 2 mg every five days averages around 3 mg in serum while 4 mg every seven days averages around 5 mg.

Six weeks on the same dose and it’s already falling off. Just move up to 4 mg. Does anyone actually read the studies?

Could you explain that? I’m trying to read the studies but I’m new to this.

The studies show you need four weeks on the same dose for it to build up. Your body is adapting. If the effects fade, increase by 2 mg to 4 mg. What are you hoping to get from this at your current body fat?

I want to reach 12 % body fat in one month with an aggressive cut for an important meeting. Because food noise will get worse during the cut, I think a higher dose makes sense. So instead of 2 mg once a week I’m planning to take 2 mg every five days.

I noticed a big change going from 2 mg to 3 mg. After four injections at 3 mg I’m happy with it. Appetite suppression is still absent but I feel full much faster. I wouldn’t jump straight to 4 mg. 3 mg might be enough for you too. I considered 4 mg when I took my ninth shot but decided to stay at 3 mg since it’s still working. I’d take it slow; it’s not a race.
