RETA Progress

Summary

What dosing schedules and results are people seeing after several weeks on RETA?

Two subjects have been using RETA for six weeks with gradual weekly increases from a low starting dose. Both have lost weight while noticing mainly reduced hunger, though the male experienced GI side effects and poorer sleep at higher amounts. They plan to remain at modest doses long-term rather than pushing higher, and one subject wants further body recomposition while the other aims for more total loss.

Two test subjects began RETA treatment roughly six weeks back. They began with a low amount and increased it weekly over the initial month at varying rates. The guy held at the starting level for a couple weeks while the woman increased quicker. His schedule was .5 for two weeks then 1.5, then 2 and stayed there. Started at 184 pounds, height 5’5”, exercises regularly but enjoys certain foods. Hers was faster ramp up to 2.5. She began at 205 pounds, 5’4”. They've been exercising together since August 2025 with little change on the scale until recently. Now he's down to 175 and she's at 194. The main effect noticed is less interest in eating and fewer hunger cues. The male kept dose low due to stomach issues and burping, plus some sleep trouble.

Nice to see the results so far. Trial data showed women tended to lose more than men and those with more to lose also did better, so those things might explain the small extra drop for the female rather than the slight difference in how fast each went up. The schedules are close enough that titration probably isn't the main reason. Could also just be the guy's fondness for tacos.

Good going for both subjects. That ramp-up happened pretty fast. Any plan to hold at a lower or maintenance level or keep going all the way to the highest trial amount?

We expect to keep things between 2 and 3 for a while. Getting enough protein and regular meals becomes difficult once the dose hits 2 mg, so I'm cautious about pushing intake when the body already feels full and there are burps or stomach effects. The first three weeks after each shot brought some sweating and drowsiness that faded in the last couple of weeks. When the amount reached 1.5 the woman felt no need to go higher, showing different reactions. Her 2.5 dose produced the same burping the male had noticed earlier. The guy wants to keep recomping down toward 160-165 and may use it in shorter cycles later. The woman still has another 50-60 to go and will stay around 2.5-3 as long as the weekly drop stays around 1-2 pounds.

The idea of going all the way to the top trial level makes me uneasy. I'll let the woman decide what feels tolerable but keep reminding her that higher amounts don't automatically give better outcomes and that muscle loss is a risk. If gym attendance slips or strength drops I'll step in.

Those are some big animals. What kind are they, mastiffs?

This community rejects any mistreatment of animals during discussions. All trials ought to involve people exclusively. 😉
