Thinking of dropping tesa

8 replies6 peopleMar 30, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

Is tesamorelin increasing my appetite on tirzepatide and should I drop it from the stack?

The original poster suspects tesamorelin is causing returning food noise and hunger spikes after three weeks on tirz, despite also using ipamorelin, mots-c, and aod-9604. Others note that tesa raises ghrelin while ipamorelin acts on the same receptor, so either could be responsible; timing doses at bedtime is common to limit daytime effects. Suggestions include raising the tirz dose, adding cagri for suppression, or shifting tesa/ipa to morning. No clear consensus emerges on which peptide is the main culprit or whether dropping tesa would harm progress.

What this discussion establishesWhere people disagree

Participants differ on whether tesa or ipa is more likely to cause the hunger, and on the best timing or adjustment to make.

Whether dropping tesa would sabotage progress or if another change would resolve the appetite issue without that risk.

Not sure if it's tied to nearing week four on tirz, but the food noise seems to be returning frequently. With tesamorelin in my routine, there are times when my hunger spikes intensely. Since ipamorelin, mots-c, and aod-9604 are also part of what I'm using, dropping the tesamorelin shouldn't be an issue. The main worry is that holding onto it might undo my gains if it's the source of this problem. Any ideas?

Without more details it's difficult to give advice. You've mentioned three weeks on tirz but how long have the other compounds been in use? What makes you certain the tesa is behind the appetite increase? Also, at what time of day do you dose it? If taken before bed it's unlikely to drive appetite much; it could simply be time for a higher tirz amount.

Got it. I dose both the tesamorelin and ipamorelin right before bed.

Tesa raises ghrelin, which accounts for the hunger. You could increase the tirz dose or add cagri to help control appetite.

I might add cagri and check whether it helps. Thanks for the idea.

Ipamorelin influences hunger signaling more than tesamorelin. I use both but right before bed.

I inject tesa and ipa in the morning for that exact reason. One of them is raising my hunger. Ipa should be the one since it hits the ghrelin receptor, but I just do both early in the day.

I also run GHRP-2 and it can really increase appetite, so bedtime is best. I once tried an early evening dose along with tesa on a Friday when I planned to eat and drink more, and the hunger became intense.

Same here, yet at certain times during the day I still get extremely hungry.
