Been on 15 mg tirz for a few months and the not-hungry feeling is fading. Would it be okay to add a low weekly dose of cagi to keep the food noise down?
Tirz and cagi
Can you add low-dose cagrilintide to tirzepatide for renewed appetite control, and how should reconstitution be handled?
Users already on 15 mg tirzepatide report adding small weekly doses of cagrilintide to quiet food noise again. Most start at 0.125–0.25 mg, experiment with a 4-day offset after the tirzepatide shot, and note possible fatigue that often improves. Several people also stack it with retatrutide. On reconstitution, opinions split between using only BAC water versus adding acetic acid to reach pH 3.5–4.5; some continue with BAC while others adjust after testing.
What this discussion establishes- Start cagrilintide low (0.125–0.25 mg) and increase slowly because first doses can feel strong.
- Common timing is pinning cagrilintide four days after tirzepatide; adjust to avoid work-week fatigue.
- Fatigue and nausea are the main side effects mentioned, though some users report none.
- Reconstitution debate centers on whether BAC water alone is enough or if acetic acid is needed to lower pH.
- People who already maxed tirzepatide or retatrutide say the addition still helps appetite without new problems.
Whether the pH risks of using only BAC water are serious enough to require acetic acid, or if the concern is overstated.
Still openWhat the ideal long-term maintenance doses and exact pH testing protocol should be for most users.
Nothing here is advice.
That’s what I’ve been doing for almost a year. Started at 0.25 mg, though you might begin with half that depending on your size. I pin the cagi four days after the tirz shot because that timing works for me, but you’ll need to test your own offset. I stopped the cagi for several months while keeping the tirz dose the same, then started it again.
I’ve been wanting to do the same for a while; it looks like the best way to avoid stacking extra GLPs.
Absolutely, you’re already at 15 mg so extra support makes sense. Begin low at 0.125 mg. I stack reta with cagi and it works great for me with no side effects, but some people get quite a bit of fatigue and nausea from it.
I pin my cagi on Friday mornings so any bad fatigue doesn’t hit during the work week. The tiredness did get better after a while.
I use it as part of my maintenance routine: 0.5 mg cagi on Tuesday and 2.5 mg tirz on Friday.
When you’re already at the top dose, yes you can add it. I do the same with reta using just 0.25 mg and get good results with no side effects.
Been stacking cagi with reta. Go slow with the cagi because the first dose can hit hard.
Oh my god that’s all I need to hear. Going to start the cagi on Tuesday, four days after the tirz shot.
Tell us how it goes 🙂
Please be careful with cagi. You need to reconstitute with acetic acid mixed 1:1 with BAC to bring the pH down to 3.5–4.5. Check what the manufacturer recommends and the risks of a higher pH.
Thanks for the info. I didn’t do it today because I was feeling unwell, so I’ll spend the next few weeks researching before trying anything.
There’s a very long thread on here about it with lots of back-and-forth and some articles and studies posted. Since I only have two vials I’m going to keep using my BAC water for now.
You should add AA to that, not only for how long the vial lasts but because of the possible dangers of the wrong pH. I’m sure there are more scientific explanations, but that video covers a good amount.
I read some of the research posted in older threads. Thanks for mentioning the AA; I wouldn’t have known to look into it.
Make sure the pH ends up between 3.5 and 4.5. Sorry to sound like a pain, but it can be dangerous and unstable at higher pH levels.
Lots of discussion on the subject about how overblown the dangers actually are. Hard to know what to believe, so I’m using AA to be safe, but it might be a lot of fuss over nothing.
I’ve done quite a few hours of research on using AA with cagi and it seems to come down to who you choose to believe. For the first time using it I’m going to test the pH before adding AA, and if it’s higher than 5 I’ll add AA a drop at a time to bring it down to 4.
I think I trust the original manufacturer more than some random person who claims to know everything about every peptide. But yes, use AA to get it down to about 4. With just BAC it will probably land around 6 or even 7, so a little AA will bring it to roughly 4.
