30mg pin of tirz

Summary

what happens after accidentally injecting 30 mg tirzepatide when used to 15 mg

A user who had been on 15 mg for 70 weeks mistakenly took 30 mg and reported low appetite, tiredness, and reduced activity starting 17 hours later. By 34 hours the main effects were still lack of hunger and low motivation but bowels stayed normal and hydration was maintained. Others noted the dose was likely near peak effect at that point, that prior tolerance to 22.5 mg probably helped, and that effects are not linear so the experience might not be dramatically worse than a normal high dose.

What this discussion establishesWhere people disagree

whether 30 mg qualifies as a true overdose or simply an extra-large but survivable dose for someone already at 15 mg

Still open

exact reconstitution mistake that led to the double dose and how long any lingering effects might last

Nothing here is advice.

I never expected this but somehow gave myself 30 mg. Still can't figure out exactly how. Seventeen hours later appetite is low so I'm nibbling small amounts, drinking plenty, and feeling tired though the weather may be part of that. I tried 22.5 mg once with no extra effect so stayed at 15 mg after 70 weeks total. Has anyone else taken 30 mg and been fine? I have too much to do to be laid up. The only clue is that I was tired during reconstitution, wasted one needle, and when I drew the second 2.5 ml the vial was empty. The math was one 60 mg vial plus 1 ml bac water should give four 15 mg doses, yet I ended up pulling 5 ml total.

The numbers you gave don't add up and that probably shows where the mistake happened. It also suggests this wasn't your first time at whatever dose you actually received. Sixty milligrams in one millilitre means point two five millilitres equals fifteen milligrams. The decimals are important.

Sorry, I meant point two five millilitres.

Your next fifteen milligram dose will probably feel weak after this. As long as you can get at least a hundred grams of liquid protein down and still handle daily tasks, treat it as a free week of fat loss. Keep up the twelve thousand steps and training and make the most of it.

Any sign of low blood sugar?

At seventeen hours you're probably near the highest point. Another day and a half and it should start easing. Good that you had already reached twenty two point five without trouble. Keep us posted. I always worry when other people go through this until they come out okay.

Sorry this happened. Surprised there aren't more reports of overdoses here. Hope you feel better soon.

WarmHarbour28archiveJun 6

Twenty two point five is an unusual amount, though no stranger than my own nineteen point five. How did you land on that dose and how long did you stay there? Nice if fifteen milligrams still works for you.

NorthMarble34archiveJun 6

Update every twelve hours and track appetite plus bowel movements. Overdoses are said to have risen sharply. Maybe you'll gain a superpower. Could turn out positive.

WarmHarbour28archiveJun 6

Thirty milligrams isn't really an overdose if you've got the tolerance for it.

Fifty percent above fifteen milligrams comes to mind, or just another two point five milligram step up.

True, once you're at fifteen milligrams any extra amount starts to matter more.

Percentages are still percentages. I don't worry much about the usual extra amounts.

Hope you're doing all right. Drink plenty of water and keep us updated. Take care.

At least you were already used to fifteen milligrams so the jump wasn't from a tiny starting dose. Effects aren't strictly linear and at that level receptors are nearly maxed out anyway so extra drug may not add much more impact. Probably just a couple of days of low hunger and mild nausea. Watch fluid intake if vomiting starts because dehydration is what causes real problems. Good that you shared it so others see how easy a mix-up can be even when experienced. Legitimate products often have built-in limits per vial or pen to reduce exactly this risk.

Now thirty four hours out. Yesterday I mostly did nothing. Bowels are fine. Drinking a lot, eating little, and just feeling like doing nothing so that's what I'm doing. Today I have things to handle. It's seven in the morning here in the UK, not hungry but thirsty. The only explanation I can think of is that when I reconstituted the sixty milligram vial I only put point five millilitres instead of one millilitre, though I'm not sure. Either way I'm making sure this never happens again. At my age a wasted day feels serious.

Thanks for the update. Glad it looks like you'll be okay.

Couldn't agree more. Sharing near-misses is how everyone learns. It's unfortunate when people get attacked for admitting mistakes on forums. Keep the updates coming.

You might not have a bowel movement for a week. These things happen, just delayed in this case.
