It's completely your choice. I moved from Tirz to Reta because of the fatty-liver results the trials were showing. If you can afford it, give it a try after you do your own research. You could also fill the Wegovy prescription and keep it for maintenance later.
Yesterday my doctor told me insurance will cover Wegovy for my NAFLD and already sent the prescription. Now I'm unsure whether to start that or try Reta instead. My BMI is 33.3 but I also have fatty liver, I'm pre-diabetic, and I have a history of gout. I saw that in one Reta trial about 35 percent of participants already had fatty liver and 82 percent of them reversed it completely. What do you think?
