Thinking of adding Cagri alongside my Tirz, what's your experience?

Summary

Experiences combining Cagrilintide with Tirzepatide for extra appetite control without raising Tirz dose

Users report adding low-dose Cagri (0.25-1mg) to Tirz allows staying at current doses while improving suppression, especially when side effects block increases. Some titrate Cagri slowly after starting very low to avoid strong effects, and a few combine it with Reta at staggered intervals. Side effects like fatigue or nausea appear dose-dependent and less common at conservative levels.

Right now I'm on 7.5mg tirzepatide and wanted to check if others stack Cagri on top. How has that gone for people?

Nice! It boosts the appetite control I take it? Some use it to bridge between shots? Just wondering...

Just curious why not simply raise the tirz dose for more hunger control while you're still at a fairly low amount instead of layering on cagri? Adding cagri makes more sense once tirz is already high, or am I overlooking something?

I ran it for roughly two months so I could hold at 6mg Tirz until I hit goal and it worked well for me. That strong hit is exactly how it felt. I reached 1mg Cag but stayed around 0.6mg most of the time.

That's one option I'm looking at because the day-two effects make me hesitant to go higher. The headaches and tiredness are rough. Haven't decided on cagri yet, just gathering info.

Stuck after dropping about 52 pounds in six months and hovering in a tight range for nearly a month now. That's 22 percent total, moving from BMI 40 down to 30. Seems like a typical plateau point on Tirz from the charts I've seen. Sitting at 10mg every six days and don't want to push higher because of the tinnitus and allodynia. Added low-dose Reta at 1mg every six days plus Cagrilintide at 250mcg every six days, staggered on day two and day four. Nothing noticeable at those amounts. Stopped the Reta ahead of a work physical because heart rate went up. After pausing three weeks I raised Cag to 500mcg every six days at week four, still no real change. At week eight I moved Reta to 2mg and Cagrilintide to 1mg every six days, just three days ago. Too early for a real read but early signs look positive.

Interesting, any side effects pop up?

This is the route I'm leaning toward since bumping Tirz worries me about worse sides. Any sides from the Cagri itself?

I get the same exact issues, the whooshing heartbeat sound in my ears and that prickly feeling on the back of my shoulders and legs. Until I found this place I thought it was just me.

No real bad effects from Cagri, probably because I started very cautiously. I didn't want sides so I began at 0.2mg. It mainly made eating feel like a chore. The downside was struggling to hit protein targets.

On 0.25mg Cag after starting low, about a month in now. Appetite isn't huge but the suppression has eased off compared with the start. Might switch to twice a week at the same amount.

BrightSignal76archiveJun 9

I'm at 2.4mg Cagri with 8mg Reta. Took around nine months to dial in the combo that drops a couple pounds weekly. More Reta brings on the allodynia so I lowered it to a side-effect-free level and slowly raised Cagri over months until appetite control felt right.

ClearBeacon24archiveJun 9

Not accurate, Cagri half-life is 7.5 days, tirz is 5 days and reta is 6.5 days.

Still forming an opinion myself, that's why I asked. I'm type 2 diabetic, down 90 pounds with about 10 left to my original goal. Was considering adding Cag to tirz but I'm already at 15mg and trying to decide between raising that or layering cagri.

With only 10 pounds left why add anything? You could drop those by the time it shows up unless your current setup has stalled so badly you're actually gaining.

PatientHarbour23archiveJun 11

If you do start, and it doesn't sound like you really need to, keep the first few doses at 0.125mg or less because it can hit hard.

CopperSignal27archiveJun 12

Another choice instead of adding cagri is splitting your tirz doses since the worst sides you mention hit on day two, right after the shot. That lines up with peak blood levels. Checking a glp plotter shows the timing clearly. Halving the dose and taking it twice as often often works just as well while cutting those peak-related sides and can let you raise total weekly amount without extra trouble. If you still add cagri begin at 0.25mg and go up slowly. It tends to cause more nausea and fatigue at bigger amounts and many here use 0.25-1mg weekly as a low-dose add-on to reta or tirz for extra hunger control.

Had no idea about that. Definitely going to check it out, this is why this place is great, tons of solid tips.
