Selank/Semax Experiences

23 replies15 peopleSep 7, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

What effects do people actually notice from semax and selank at different doses and routes, and how long does it take to feel them?

Users report highly variable results with both peptides. Intranasal doses from 200-600 mcg often produce nothing noticeable for some, while others feel mild relaxation from selank within 10-20 minutes or subtle cognitive smoothness from semax around 500 mcg. Subcutaneous administration is tried by several when nasal fails, with mixed success and no clear consensus on superiority. Effects are described as far milder than prescription options, with no rebound the next day.

What this discussion establishesWhere people disagree

Whether intranasal or subq works better, and whether raising dose reliably overcomes non-response.

Still open

Why some users feel nothing even after dose increases or route changes, and how nose issues might affect intranasal absorption.

Nothing here is advice.

Started semax and selank intranasal at 200-250 mcg per dose but not noticing any effects. Wondering what sensations are typical, whether switching to subq or raising the amount would help, and if these take weeks like some other compounds before changes appear. Also curious about other options aimed at mental performance.

Keeping an eye on this thread. Planning to try both compounds myself but reports seem inconsistent so far. Some prefer the nasal route while others insist on subq, so real user accounts would help clarify.

Without using either subq or intranasal nothing will register because these peptides break down easily and must reach their receptors in one piece. I noticed semax right away with a nasal spray though I never tried the injection route. Which method are you using?

I came across an outline covering semax that seemed worth mentioning.

Selank is listed here as an injection.

Most published information on both points to intranasal use, so moving to subq is not the usual next step when nothing is felt. Common nasal amounts are 200-600 mcg several times daily, which puts the current dose on the lower side. Many people experience no immediate sensation even after short periods of use. When anything appears it tends to show up within minutes to half an hour rather than after weeks.

Using the nasal route for both after reading that was the way to go. Thanks for the note, might raise the amount by about 100 mcg each day until something registers. Could end up at much higher levels for the experiment. On a practical note I may have reduced smell sensitivity so absorption through the nose could be limited. Might switch to the name-brand version as a final option.

With ordinary semax I use 1 mg intranasal once I know it suits me. Could begin at 500 mcg and check the response from there.

WryHarbour43archiveSep 8

Ran both at once but from separate vials, all intranasal. Usually took 500 mcg semax before work and sometimes another at lunch, then 500 mcg selank in the evening to settle down. Some combine them in one mix in the morning instead. Semax felt pretty subtle and I did not get much from it, possibly because of past stronger stimulant use and being younger than many here. Selank gave a mild calming effect that stood out more than the semax, though still lighter than benzos. Still have a couple vials left and might test subq before stopping. Also considering trying adamax later.

If trying adamax make sure it is the 1,032 dalton version since lower dalton versions have been seen.

Prepare selank nasal so each spray delivers 200 mcg and use two sprays for 400 mcg per dose. The calming feeling arrives within 10-15 minutes. One person uses three sprays totaling 600 mcg and falls asleep in roughly 20 minutes instead of two hours. For semax each spray is 300 mcg with two sprays per dose, but nothing noticeable is felt from it. The same person tried semax subq at 2 mg for several days and became very restless. Neither has tested selank by injection.

Tried both compounds with effects that are mild yet noticeable. Past experience with benzos and ADHD medications makes the difference clear since these feel much gentler than the prescription versions. One advantage is the absence of any rebound the following day. Both nasal and subq routes were used.

Using a morning injection of a blend containing 500 mcg of each, plus another 500 mcg selank in the evening. Reconstructions are done with bac water. Two 10 mg vials of selank are reconstituted and filtered into one sterile vial. Some nasal selank is also on order for upcoming use. Part of the solution is drawn into a syringe and transferred to a nasal spray bottle with added sterile saline for daytime use, kept cool. The bottle lasts about a week to ten days before potency drops, then the process is repeated with a fresh bottle.

Will try both by subq. Time to test that approach.

Personally favor the subq route. Nothing was felt with semax until reaching 500 mcg, at which point it became a subtle improvement in conversation flow and working memory. Eventually moved up to 1 mg though tolerance seems elevated. Selank also required 500 mcg before any effect appeared, with 700 mcg becoming the preferred amount. Other compounds mentioned for cognition include adalank, adamax, p21, dihexa, pinealon, cortagen, pe-22-28, and cerebrolysin.

QuietPebble46archiveSep 9

Recently began both via subq. Not certain about semax yet, but selank seems to produce a bit more calm and less reactivity. Also less bothered by other people's behavior, which used to be more irritating, and can move past it faster now.

Definitely going to look into those other compounds mentioned, thanks.

Have a supply of adamax 20 mg 1032 version arriving soon. Looking forward to trying it since limited information is available.

QuietCinder50archiveSep 11

Tried 0.5 mg selank subq yesterday evening. Felt quite relaxed and slept well.

BrightMeadow17archiveSep 12

Update: 500 mcg semax appears to be the level needed to notice anything, while 400 mcg works for selank. Both produce only a mild sensation. Planning to go higher to test further.

GreyTimber13archive6d

Currently using semax subq. Began at 50 mcg daily and raised the dose by 50 mcg every few days when no change occurred. Now around 200 mcg with nothing felt. No dosing schedule reference available, following guidance from a video on semax.

Have been mixing 50 percent bac water and 50 percent saline. A nasal spray bottle stays good for 10-14 days before losing strength. Reconstitute a 10 mg vial with 2 ml bac water, then filter half into a sterile vial for injections and the other half into a nasal bottle with an extra 1 ml saline for intranasal use.
