SS31 and mots c dosages and times

14 replies8 peopleApr 7, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

What dosages and schedules work for adding SS-31 and MOTS-c to an existing peptide stack without NAD?

Users report running SS-31 daily at 3-5 mg for 20-30 days straight with no breaks, then sometimes adding MOTS-c at 2-5 mg daily or a few times weekly. Some start MOTS-c after several weeks of SS-31 alone; others combine them from the start in the morning while fasted. The 5-on-2-off pattern is viewed as unnecessary for these compounds.

What this discussion establishesWhere people disagree

Whether to begin both compounds together or run SS-31 alone first, and whether daily MOTS-c or intermittent dosing is preferable.

Still open

Ideal individual dose for MOTS-c and exact length of SS-31 cycles beyond 30 days.

Nothing here is advice.

Hey everyone. Want to check my current setup and get thoughts. Taking reta at 2.5 mg once a week, tesa at 2 mg an hour before sleep on a 5-on-2-off schedule, and klow at 1.5 mg before bed. Planning to add ss31 and mots c for mitochondrial support. Been on 2 mg each of ss31 and mots c every day for almost a week. Saw a 14-week plan but skipping the nad part. Is 2 mg daily for both okay? Should I switch to 5 on 2 off?

My test subject likes to run ss-31 at 4 mg daily for four weeks before even thinking about adding mots-c. It is not cheap. Mots-c seems to need very different amounts depending on the person. Some do fine with 2 mg three times a week while others prefer 5 mg three times a week. You will have to test what works best.

Thanks as always. The subject will experiment with the amounts for sure, but do the timings look fine? Always first thing in the morning after waking, and should the schedule stay at 5 on 2 off?

There are many different ideas for ss-31. One approach is to take ten 10 mg vials, add 1 ml bac water each, draw 33 units, and run that for thirty days to get 3.3 mg per day and finish the whole kit.

No, full thirty days with no days off for ss-31.

Agree that ss-31 runs continuously. The subject gets it quarterly, but at 5 mg daily for twenty days, then adds 2.5 mg mots-c for the final five days. After that two days off, then continue mots-c at 5 mg three times a week. Starting mots-c at a lower dose seems to reduce injection site reactions. Jumping straight to 5 mg was too much at first. Have gone up to 50 mg ss-31 total per cycle because it is more affordable and only needs two vials.

There is no real scientific basis for a 5-on-2-off schedule with any peptides. It seems to have started with wellness clinics and keeps spreading online. The only possible reason might be managing water retention from growth hormone secretagogues, but even then it makes more sense to begin with daily dosing and reduce only if needed. Most peptides are either weekly, several times a week, or daily. The 5/2 pattern usually just wastes product that should be taken every day. For what it is worth, tesa has been taken daily for six weeks with no water retention issues so far.

Can confirm the same approach. Currently at 5 mg daily, two weeks into the cycle and planning to continue at least two more weeks. Wish the larger kit had been chosen instead.

Correct, and the clinical trials for both tesa and ss-31 used daily dosing with no breaks.

The subject runs 5 mg mots daily for thirty days then takes sixty days off. At the same time 50 mg nad+ is injected daily, both first thing in the morning while fasted. Sleeps around 10:30 and if a morning dose is missed it stays missed because later injections interfere with sleep. Also alternates four-week cycles of tesa at 10 mg per week and ipa at 5 mg per week, both right before bed and two hours after the last meal. Following this schedule improves quality of life, workouts, and weight training noticeably.

Might need to order more ss31 and mots c since only a 10 mg by 10 kit was purchased this time.

Agree completely. The 5/2 routine gets repeated with all kinds of conflicting reasons.

Mots-c should arrive in a couple of days. Was planning 2.5-5 mg three times a week since that seems common, but a recent video from a doctor at a peptide conference suggested micro-dosing daily at 1-2.5 mg instead. Ready to start at 1 mg the day it arrives and continue every morning. Any thoughts?

The protocol used matches the workout schedule because mots is part of the pre-workout mix. It follows 4 on 1 off, so dosing six days a week. Amounts have been increased gradually to 2.5 mg, which feels ideal.
