NAD+ Daily or Not Daily?

20 replies9 peopleOct 10, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

Should NAD+ be dosed daily or a few times per week, and what dosing schedules and effects do users report?

Users describe trying both daily and intermittent schedules, with many settling on 50 mg three times weekly or 50 mg daily after titrating up from lower amounts. Benefits noted include steady energy without fatigue, mental clarity, and an overall improved feeling that persists on off days for some. Side effects like dizziness at higher single doses led several to back off, while others mention a brief flush or rush after injection. Total weekly amounts around 300 mg are referenced as a common target.

After spending ages researching NAD+, I still can't decide if smaller amounts each day work better than bigger ones just a couple times weekly. Views on the topic look really divided.

Started with twenty five milligrams each day before increasing to my present amount of fifty. Right now that daily intake makes me feel fantastic and I enjoy it a lot. Research pointed to three hundred as a weekly goal so I aim for that range. Sometimes missing a day means my total lands between three hundred and three hundred fifty. Thinking about cutting back to three times per week instead.

Began with 25 milligrams three times each week and planned to raise the amount gradually toward 100 milligrams on that same schedule. Raising it to 75 milligrams brought on lightheadedness, so I lowered the dose to 50 milligrams three times weekly instead. After three months at that level I feel fantastic and have no plans to stop.

I'm wondering about the amount of time before that excellent sensation arrives. Is the effect similar to an energy surge?

Around the fourteen-day point my stamina felt balanced all day. Sudden crashes into exhaustion stopped happening or dragging on.

Right from the first day the impact showed up after roughly fifteen minutes. This provides smooth vitality instead of an overstimulated sensation. It's comparable to enjoying quality rest followed by renewed vigor.

Yeah that matches exactly how it turned out for me. Steady vitality from morning until night without any drag feels fantastic. Started at twenty five milligrams in the opening week with no real change yet moving up to fifty milligrams the following week brought the shift almost right away. Then in week three I tried seventy five milligrams but ended up lightheaded so dropped back to fifty and kept it there. Besides the other two compounds where I dropped fifty four pounds across half a year this NAD+ ranks highest for the way I feel overall so far.

Does that mean you stay energized on days when you're not working?

My current schedule involves taking one hundred milligrams three times every week. This appears to be working nicely for me because I feel excellent following it.

Spreading things out on alternating days without a weekend break might be preferable but I go with Monday Wednesday and Friday to stay consistent.

I consume this each morning along with my thyroid pills. A gentle warm surge appears initially and lasts about a minute before fading away.

Being in my fifties, it took about four weeks before I observed a change. My mind stayed sharp enough to handle a demanding job without losing focus later in the day like before. There's no wired sensation or boundless energy rush. Just a steady drive to complete tasks without any pushback.

I'm curious whether a complete hundred would trigger the redness along with an elevated heart rate. Since those happen for me once I reach fifty, it seems that's the maximum I should go.

I'm definitely interested in giving NAD+ a shot as a peptide. I experimented with GHK-Cu once and got this reddish hot flush on my face after the second injection, so I stopped for now. Though I plan to retry it. I've only just started with KPV and it's too early for any results to show. After that, NAD+ is what I'll do next, and SS31 is something I'd love to experiment with, except the cost is really high.

I inject a 100 milligram amount of NAD on three or four days each week at minimum, and five on occasion. My schedule for this depends on the activities planned. I always do it when going for a run or exercising, plus any time I anticipate needing extra help completing tasks. The injection happens in the morning, roughly half an hour prior to starting my run. This has been part of my routine over the last twelve months, and I plan to continue using it indefinitely. As a woman aged sixty-four, there is no intense surge immediately following the shot. However, once I begin running, I experience steady and powerful vitality. It's really impressive!

Right at the start I notice an odd sensation that hangs around for roughly five or ten minutes. It feels a lot like the jolt you get from lighting a heavy smoke after months without one. The effect strikes me as close to what nicotine delivers, though it lingers longer in my case. The very first time it left me slightly unsettled, but I adjusted fast and now it passes without any issue.

Yeah, that checks out! I came across something saying three hundred milligrams weekly counts as the upper limit, though I can't recall the source.

Looking at the dosage charts, it appears the first week involves taking 50 milligrams each day, adding up to 350 milligrams total. In the following week, that rises to 525 milligrams weekly by using 75 milligrams daily. They even reach levels of 700 milligrams in some cases. The table heading indicates these come from user reports in the community. There are studies on intravenous doses of 500 and 750 milligrams, but nothing matching this daily injection approach or confirming it for under-the-skin use. The vein method probably hits harder because of quicker uptake. I keep thinking about how those people reacted after getting it. Must have been quite an experience for them.

My experience has been limited to doses no higher than one hundred fifty milligrams, and the effects were positive. At a nearby pharmacy I noticed they offered chilled peptide products containing NAD. When inquiring about the cost it struck me as quite steep given the tiny volume. The staff member inquired about my injection amount and upon hearing one hundred milligrams she reacted with alarm. She insisted repeatedly that such a quantity posed serious risks. I simply left the premises convinced she lacked proper understanding.

Has anybody tried both NAD+ and nicotinamide riboside on their own? For those who have, do the swallowed NR versions and the NAD+ shots come across as clearly distinct?
