Experiences dosing Semax, Selank and SS-31 for focus, energy and sleep

Summary

how to time and dose semax selank ss-31 without sleep problems

Users report mixed results with subQ dosing of these peptides. Morning semax often improves focus and brain fog while evening selank can reduce anxiety or cortisol for some but causes racing thoughts or insomnia in others. SS-31 is praised for steady daytime energy. Several people adjusted timing and lowered doses until sleep normalized, with some finding pinealon or other peptides more effective for resetting sleep cycles.

I take semax at breakfast and after lunch for brain fog, selank at breakfast and a couple hours before bed to keep stress and anxiety down, and ss-31 for mitochondrial support. After lots of reading it looks like Russian human trials ended in the early 2000s and most work used intranasal delivery with little dose guidance. Any ideas on how often to inject? Is twice a day worth it or should I just do one bigger semax dose in the morning and one selank dose at night?

I have been injecting 500 mcg of semax and selank daily for five days. The first three evenings I felt wired and had trouble sleeping, so I tried moving selank to nighttime as well but still felt wired. Yesterday and today I did both in the morning right after waking and will check how I sleep tonight.

What exactly do you mean by wired? Anxious, full of energy, nonstop thoughts, or just unable to fall asleep?

RustMeadow14archiveSep 25, 2025

I am on a long ss-31 protocol and inject 4 mg every morning plus a second dose later in the day. It gives solid energy and lifts my mood. I also take 700 mcg selank at 9:30 pm after starting lower and shifting the time, hoping it lowers my high nighttime cortisol. My evening stack includes vip at 9 pm three times a week, selank at 9:30, and kpv at 10 pm, and sleep has improved a lot. I have been working on sleep issues that lasted four years since September 2024.

It was racing thoughts I could not turn off. Normally I fall asleep within ten minutes, but with the peptides I was awake until 1 am. I am heading to bed soon and expect better rest tonight.

QuietFenwick86archiveSep 26, 2025

Doing everything in the morning helped sleep somewhat. This morning I cut the dose in half and will see if tonight is even better.

PatientPebble27archiveSep 28, 2025

I never considered using these at night. On lighter days I rotate semax and selank instead of stimulants, and they give similar focus and verbal ease but more quietly. Ss-31 paired with mots-c has been excellent for a steady, warm cellular energy in the morning. I cannot picture taking them before bed.

BrightSignal76archiveSep 30, 2025

I inject 5 mg ss-31 with 250 mcg selank, 500 mcg semax, and my other peptide in the morning, then another 250 mcg selank at 9:30 pm plus theanine and magnesium. After a week my sleep is unchanged. I wake at 1 am, 3 am, 5 am, and around 7 am with lots of intense, sometimes angry dreams. My watch sleep score stays between 40 and 70 and I have not noticed extra gym energy. Should I drop the morning selank and move it all to evening? Being tired constantly is getting to me.

How do you know nighttime cortisol is high? Is there a test or just symptoms?

RustMeadow14archiveSep 30, 2025

A blood test could measure it but would need to be drawn at night when labs are closed, so I go by symptoms. For years I would get a big energy spike around 10 or 11 pm, lose any tiredness, and stay mentally active until 3 or 4 am. Morning cortisol is also high on repeated early fasted tests. High evening cortisol blocks sleep and high morning cortisol makes me wake early no matter when I went to bed. I was averaging only three hours of sleep and am not sure how I kept functioning.

PatientPebble27archiveSep 30, 2025

Have you tried pinealon, epitalon, or dsip yet?

RustMeadow14archiveSep 30, 2025
↳ replying to @PatientPebble27

I started dsip in September 2024, added epitalon, stopped dsip later, and kept using the amidate form of epitalon for months. I am convinced both epitalon and pinealon help a lot. Pinealon reset my circadian rhythm on the first dose and I am still using it. Ta-1, thymulin with zinc, kpv, selank, and vip have also aided sleep. For stubborn sleep problems I would begin with pinealon in the morning then vip in the evening. Longer courses and higher doses than the usual short protocols seem necessary for entrenched issues.

I would move selank out of the morning and use it only in the evening.

BrightSignal76archiveSep 30, 2025

That was my first sleep issue. Should I just do the full 500 mcg in the evening?

RustMeadow14archiveSep 30, 2025

If that was truly your first sleep problem ever, that is notable. Since the 500 mcg morning dose left you fatigued without other effects, shifting the same amount to evening makes sense, or start fresh. I began at 300 mcg and adjusted timing and amount over weeks. Timing depends on the goal.

No, the disturbances happen every couple of hours like clockwork. Last night I woke at 1:09, 3:30, and 5 but fell back asleep quickly and logged over seven and a half hours. The watch gave a high score yet I still felt unrested. Following the earlier suggestion I will try 500 mcg in the evening with magnesium and theanine.

BrightSignal76archiveOct 1, 2025
↳ replying to @RustMeadow14

That was the worst night yet. I am dropping the magnesium and theanine because both can trigger vivid dreams according to one source. The dreams were nightmares instead of anything pleasant. I should also change what I watch before bed.

I split them again with semax only in the morning and selank only at night. Sleep problems disappeared. Maybe I just needed time to adjust. I really like the morning semax and now think the evening selank actually helps sleep.

BrightSignal76archiveOct 4, 2025

The last two nights I scored 97 and 96 on sleep. It seems 500 mcg at night is all I need. Morning brain fog is still not resolved.

How is semax working for you so far? I was thinking of trying the nasal spray for focus. Any experiences?

ClearWillow59archiveNov 14, 2025

What is VIP?

BrightSignal76archiveNov 16, 2025
↳ replying to @IronSignal57

If you try it, nasal spray seems better. SubQ gave me nothing even at higher amounts. I have mots-c, nad+, and epitalon arriving soon and will report any positive effects from that stack.

ClearWillow59archiveNov 16, 2025

Morning semax at 600 mcg subQ has been helpful for mental clarity without hurting sleep. Selank made me sleepy so I did not repurchase it. I use herbal teas with lemon balm, chamomile, lavender, and saffron at night instead. The only drawback is needing to get up to use the bathroom, but I fall back asleep right away.

Do you cycle or take breaks with these?

ClearWillow59archiveNov 16, 2025

I have only seen nasal sprays from single-vial sellers. Is that where yours comes from or do you make your own with a kit?

Have you started the nasal selank and semax yet? I am thinking of trying the same and would like to hear how it goes.

ClearBeacon24archiveDec 26, 2025

Each morning I inject a mix of semax, selank, pe-22-28, and pinealon. My thinking has become much faster and answers come without effort. It is a powerful combination.
