Weirdest cravings that vanished on GLP meds

6 replies6 peopleOct 22, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

What random or unexpected cravings disappear when taking GLP-1 drugs?

Users report losing interest in specific foods like fruit teas, buns, gum and fried items, plus non-food habits such as online poker. Some note buffets lose appeal because portions feel excessive and work gets neglected. A few see only modest reduction in existing cravings and may need higher doses.

Not the usual suspects. The odd items you once enjoyed but now have zero interest in. Share yours so I feel less strange about it.

Fruit-flavored tea, hamburger buns, and chewing gum.

I used to be hooked on online poker. People might roll their eyes thinking what any of this has to do with the medication, yet it really does dial down obsessive habits and addictions.

Buffets. I can't get any real work done there and it's cheaper to just grab a single plate somewhere else.

Right? I just step across the street to a nearby cafe for a bowl of whatever soup they made that day plus a big mug of beer. It's still dinner and plenty satisfying. A big pasta plate would just turn into two more leftover meals anyway. Soup leaves me full and content.

Nothing really yet. I still want the same things I always liked, just a little less strongly, and I have more control about not giving in. Probably need to go up on the dose.
